Gazprom’s economic expansion
The European Union faces disagreement over finalizing the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline. Only 160 kilometers are left to be laid, but at the end of 2019 the Nord Stream 2 was sanctioned, which prevented the same name company Nord Stream 2 AG from completing its works by early 2020. So what aims does the project target to fulfill economic or political ones? The question has became an apple of discord among some countries of the European Union and the United States, Poland, Baltic states, and Ukraine.
It is implied that the Nord Stream 2, a gas pipeline with a capacity of 55 billion cubic meters of natural gas supply a year, will reach 1, 230 km length. It begins in Narva Bay in Russia and will end in Lubmin – on German land the gas will be distributed among “anywhere it is needed in the EU.”
In December 2019 the United States imposed sanctions for assisting in laying the Nord Stream 2. The restrictions were related to “vessels that are engaged in pipe-laying at depths of 100 feet or more below sea level for the construction of the Nord Stream 2 or TurkStream pipelines, or any successor projects to either pipeline,” as well as for foreign individuals that “have knowingly sold, leased, or provided the vessels for construction of either project or facilitated deceptive or structured transactions to provide such vessels.” As a result, Swiss contractor Allseas, that gave its biggest vessel Pioneering Spirit and Solitaire to lay the Nord Stream 2, stopped works, and the project was delayed for months. However, on the 6th of July Denmark’s Energy Agency permitted using ships with anchors – it demanded pipelaying vessels to be provided with self-positioning system – and, if nobody objects the decision in three weeks, the project will be completed with a help of Akademik Cherskiy Russian vessel and Fortuna ship with anchors.
Currently the controversies rose over the proposal of US senators to strengthen sanctions towards the Nord Stream 2. According to a new draft, insurance companies and any entities providing services for works on the Nord Stream 2, including port ones, will be sanctioned. The proposal is still to be approved by the US president. And in late June Germany claimed that sanctions violated its sovereignty, as well as European economic independence. The country is determined to complete the project, and some German politicians rise a question over sanctions in a response to American “extraterritorial” ones. Germany’s intentions are clear considering the fact that the gas transit via the Nord Stream 2 will be done with direct Germany’s operating. Using new pipeline Russia bypasses Ukrainian and Polish gas transit systems – as a result, these countries will loose their transit fees.
The pipeline is a joint project of German Wintershall Holding GmbH (10%), Uniper SE (10%), Royal Dutch Shell plc (10%), OMV AG (10%), ENGIE S.A. (10%), and Russian Gazprom that owns 50% of the project. Furthermore, Gazprom is a sole shareholder of Nord Stream 2 AG company that will maintain the pipeline. To refute a questionable theory of the benefits allegedly outweighing the risks, a few words should be said regarding activities of Gazprom.

Meanwhile, before 2010 the corporation’s share in the platform was 25% , the rest belonged to American Boeing, Norwegian and Ukrainian companies. In 2010 Energia became a 95% owner of the Sea Launch, and currently the primary owner of the platform is S7 AirSpace Corporation – totally Russian company that consumes the fuel of Gazprom’s subsidiary GazpromNeft-Aero. Kocharyan's lion hunting

Kocharyan has a picture with a rifle and a dead lion near him.
Parliament was discussing the proposed asset forfeiture laws. A QP MP implied that Robik paid $1 million to have that fun. "You can find photos with multiple such exotic animals, with each costing $100,000 to hunt. It must have cost $1mln to kill those animals for a selfie," said the MP without naming names.

Georgia and Armenia could make travel easier

During Pashinyan's trip to Georgia, they signed an agreement to begin the discussions of possibly allowing each other's citizens to travel with basic ID cards.

coronavirus in Armenia

Update: Georgia recently banned the entry of Iranian cargo or drivers entering from Armenia, even if it was meant to be transported to Russia.
Armenian drivers claimed that since the new temporary Armenian rule requires Iranian drivers to hand over their cargo to Armenian drivers instead of Iranian drivers themselves traveling to Georgia, there is no risk for Georgians if Armenian drivers transport the Iranian cargo.
Today, the Georgian govt decided to lift the ban so Armenian drivers can transport Iranian goods through Georgia.
International airline companies decided to reduce the number of flights to decrease the spread of COVID. Civil Aviation advises Armenians to check their emails to see if they're affected.
Pashinyan's bodyguard fell sick. COVID test came negative.
Supermarkets began to sanitize shopping carts and other interaction hotspots 4 times a day. (feels like I'm playing Plague Inc.)

former mayor's charges dropped / Statute of limitations

Former Yerevan Mayor Yervand Zakharyan and his colleague were earlier charged with embezzling 3bln worth Hakhtanak Park green area, which wasn't even allowed to be privatized or exploited, and giving it to Robert Kocharyan-affiliated hotel in Mar-2008.
The investigators had to drop the charges because the statute of limitations has expired.
However, the investigators and prosecutors are working to recover the presumably stolen property.

Prosecutors ask Supreme to investigate trial delays

The General Prosecutor Arthur Davtyan has contacted the Supreme Court (not Constitutional Court) because some cases are being delayed for years.
A case was sent to court in May-2017, but one after another, 3 judges refused to hear the case because they were transferred to other departments. As a result, the case is still in the entry stage.
Another similar case is 2-year-old.
Sometimes the statute of limitations expires while the case is pending in court (WTF?). One such case happened in Feb-2017 when the judge delayed 18 of the 36 trials for "vacation or overload" reasons. This resulted in the felony suspect being released upon the expiration of the statute of limitations.
The General Prosecutor is asking Supremes to intervene. He also ordered subordinate prosecutors not to miss trials unless absolutely necessary.

Erebuni military airport's noise

Residents near Shengavit district are complaining about the fighter jet noise caused by the nearby Erebuni airport. "They fly right over our building at various times of the day," says a resident with a small child, "maybe they can move the base further away from Yerevan."
The flights don't happen every day, but frequently enough to bother residents.
The commander of the Russian aviation base Alexander Petrov admitted that they bother residents. "We fly every other day. We're noisy neighbors. We organized air shows for the nearby public and took other measures to warm our ties, and this resulted in significantly fewer complaints," said Petrov.
The jets aren't flying just for fun. They patrol Armenia's airs.
"The reason we have to fly over Davtashen is because of geolocation. On one side it's the border, on the other side Geghama mountains, another corner is Mt. Aragaths, so we have to fly over a residential area," said Petrov.
Erebuni airport was built in 1933.

more cities to start neutering dogs

The stray dog population grew across Armenia in recent years. Yerevan began neutering them in 2019.
Byureghavan has contacted Kotayk governor's office for help to implement a similar process. The first group of dogs was neutered recently.

Yerevan's war on parking clutter in Center

Yerevan municipality recently decided to remove some of the parking spots in the Republic Square, which is a major tourist attraction.
"The first thing you do while entering the square is seeing lots of parked cars. We changed this. The city is offering other parking areas for tour-bus drivers, some of whom came to complain about the parking ban today," said Mayor's spokesman Hakob Karapetyan.
Q: the bus drivers say you haven't offered them any alternatives.
A: not true, we have space in near Sakharov square.
Q: but it's too busy, they can't park.
A: lanes are being drawn and the parking area is being separated right now. They'll be able to park. They'll (tour agency buses) have their separate parking spot.

Freedom House assessment for Artsakh

"Freedom in the World 2020" report says the 2018 revolution and the new administration had a positive impact on making the Artsakh Republic freer. More competition, more active civil society. It's freer than Azerbaijan.
"The same cannot be said about gray zones occupied by Russia... Belarus, Russia, and Uzbekistan suppressed the opposition to win... Kazakh president handpicked a successor... Moldovian reforms have stalled... All of the positive changes in Eurasia are associated with the governments of Armenia and Ukraine."
Armenia is "Partly Free" as of 2019 report, with 2020 being prepared.

how much do YES/NO campaigns pay for TV ads?

Constitutional Court referendum will take place on April 5th. The YES and NO voting campaigns can purchase TV ads.
21TV: 6k/minute (less effective than shouting on the street)
5TV: 6.9k/minute (Robik srika)
Kentron: 24k/minute (Gago srika)
Yerkir Media: 25k/minute (ARF srika)
H1: 50k/minute (Nikol srika)
H2: 60k/minute (Robik srika)
ShantTV & ArmeniaTV: 100k/minute (someone's srika)

alleged referendum violations

One of the co-managers of the NO campaign is HHK Arsen Babayan (suspected of aiding HHK to hijack Constitutional Court in 2018). He shared a Facebook post from a woman claiming that she witnessed how Babayan's NO campaign members tried to bribe senior voters in one of Yerevan districts. Babayan himself shared the report so the police can investigate whether it's true. An investigation was launched.
The prosecutors examined 12 reports of rule violations. Several mild cases were found.
YES campaign manager Papikyan urged to report any violation by the YES campaign upon detection. He ruled out the possibility of illegally pressuring local officials to rally the YES vote.
Ironically, Papikyan was accused of violating propaganda rules by advocating for a YES vote outside of legally allowed boundaries.

criminal subculture bust

The thieve-in-law criminal subculture figure Oshakantsi Gevorik was detained as part of an open Investigative Committee case.
In case you enjoy arm twisting videos:

Taxi drivers received tax exemption. Has the quality improved?

Not by much, according to a QP MP. Last year, the govt decided to remove a 12k fixed fee from individual taxi drivers, in part hoping that it would encourage better service and honesty. A QP MP says the drivers still rig the meters to overcharge travelers, but the complaints have somewhat decreased.

women's soccer team revived / 1st match

On Apr-19-2019 we learned that the Soccer Federation was in talks with the diasporans in USA and elsewhere to assemble a new female soccer national team.
It's done. The week-old team played their first friendly match against Lithuania and lost 0:1. The stadium was packed with a few dozen fans who came to witness the historical moment.
"We weren't expecting to play that good considering that we only trained together for a few days. This is our birthday," said a Soccer official Anna Tadevosyan.
The next match in on Mar-6 12 pm in Pyunik Stadium versus Lithuania again. (gotta try until you win, like the Brexit elections)

lake Sevan cleanup

Yesterday we learned that Nature Ministry began to remove submerged trees from Sevan shores to reduce algae growth.
570mln is granted for this stage, with a petition for extra funding. 750 ha area to be cleaned by 2021. "The cleanup operations are at an unprecedented level."
40 tractors and tree carriers are being used. The cold weather helped to keep the equipment going smoothly (suck it up, global warming)
Drones and satellite images were used to identify the areas need for urgent treatment.
Ministry plans a 3.5-meter lake level rise by 2029. This would thicken the "cold layer" and improve water quality by keeping algae from spreading to the surface.
Nature Ministry held a meeting with Swedish and German delegations, Armenian water and nature organizations, to discuss the work around lake's healthification.

agreement to reduce breast cancer drug price / govt to subsidize

Healthcare Ministry signed an agreement with Swiss Roche pharma to reduce the price of breast cancer chemotherapy drug Trastuzumab Herceptin by 30%.
This is the 2nd price reduction in a year. In 2019 another agreement reduced it by 10%.
"This 40% reduction will allow the Healthcare Ministry to subsidize breast chemotherapy meds," said Minister Torosyan.
Thank you Roche, really cool!

building instead of buying?

The govt is discussing the idea of building apartment complexes for (e.g. Azeri-Armenian) refugee families instead of buying existing ones. "We would have to carefully choose where to build so we wouldn't harm the local real estate market, and not to build in regions where there is already widespread vacancies," said Pashinyan. No specific plans yet.

[SPOILER] A Very Detailed ViDoc Breakdown

WARNING: Many possible spoilers for Shadowkeep and Season of the Undying, and lots of links. This is also VERY lengthy so strap in if you want to go through this.

So like MANY of you guys, I pulled out my magnifying glass and readied my Play/Pausing and screencap buttons to hyper-analyze aspects of the Out of the Shadows ViDoc. Let's just dive right in, shall we?

Note: I have a lot of screenshots I took and some that u/GaliasGM mentioned in their post, I will mention a numbered screenshot so you can have a quick visual. GDrive Folder of all the screenshots.

Truth Ornament and Interesting Weapon 1
Right out the gate, we see three of the devs having a chat together in front of two monitors: one with an Ornament for what looks like Truth, which we will get in a few days (which looks awesome! And will probably have the same treatment as WotW and OP.), and on the right, when you zoom in to the far right, you can see a very peculiar looking weapon (LMG? Auto Rifle? Sniper? FLAMETHROWER???)

Possible Black Garden Raid Armor And 2 More Weapons 2.1 and 2.2
Here we have two more devs sitting together with a monitor to the right. On there, we see what looks like concept images for what could be the very badass raid armor for the Black Garden. In the top left of the monitor going right, we see the Warlock, Hunter, and Titan sets. Then, directly below them, are two concept images for weapons. The one on the left looks like the butt of either an LFR or an AR, which could possibly be the raid exotic. The one on the right looks like at least the frame work for a new FR (or maybe that's the finished product, idk).

The Return of No Time To Explain? 3.1 and 3.2
No Time To Explain was an Exotic Pulse Rifle that had a striking resemblance to The Stranger's Rifle, which you get at the end of vanilla Destiny 1's campaign. NTTE's perks were Headseeker (where body shots increase precision damage for a short time, like Jade Rabbit), Full Auto Trigger, and Rewind Again (where precision hits were returned to the magazine immediately) The Pulse Rifle on the monitors has the same body and color that NTTE has, with a few minor visual tweaks like the Cassoid foundary symbol, which is also seen on the new Hand Cannon/Sniper Rifle hybrid and the Invective. If that is true, we have a weapon that I think would be another meta for boss melting.

Screech Queen 4
If you were a vanilla D1 player or have played since The Dark know who this is and her signature scream, which can also be heard in the reveal trailer. To those who have not played Destiny 1, this is Omnigul, the Will of Crota. I'm not going to go into lore details, but she was responsible for giving us the Omnigul Bond and Grasp of Malok. I really hope Grasp comes back, it was an amazing pulse with the right roll.

Monte Carlo Returns! 5.1 and 5.2
Monte Carlo) was an Exotic Auto Rifle with a rather unique perk called Monte Carlo Method, where dealing damage reduces your melee cooldown and even had a chance to fully charge your melee on kills. In picture 5.1, you can see the Titan off to the right holding it and in 5.2, you can see a Hunter with it in better view.

Badass Armor, 2 New Exotics, and a Weird Sword 6
Here we have a Titan, Hunter, and Warlock running through part of the new space within the Scarlet Cathedral, which is what I call it. The Titan is sporting what looks like Iron Banner's Season of the Undying armor, which looks reminiscent the armor back in Rise of Iron, and the new Exotic Heavy Bow. The Hunter is sporting some REALLY amazing armor, I absolutely love the leg armor and the helmet! The Warlock as some really cool armor as well and is carrying the new Special Ammo Hand Cannon/Sniper Rifle with a rather peculiar sword on his back, which you can see throughout the ViDoc on all three classes. Odd...

(Insert Obligatory Variks Meme) 7
He's the one with no House! He does not kneel to banner! He allies with no Kell! He's the murderer, the scarred, it's TAAAAANIIIIIIIIIIKS!!!!!!!! (one of my favorite Destiny 1 strike bosses)

Crota's Return 8.1 8.2 and 8.3
Ah, the biggest strike boss ever (D1 vets, where you at?). Crota is Nokris's beefier brother and the first one to introduce us to Throne Worlds and Ascendant Planes. For those uneducated, Crota was The Dark Below's raid boss in Crota's End, and who had reawakened within the Hellmouth after thousands of years. He's also the killer of Eris Morn's fireteam. What 8.2 shows is that we will face him where his soul was entombed in TDB's campaign (that picture also shows the Titan with the mystery sword). 8.3, however, is rather peculiar. Here we see the Guardians walking up to a rather large Knight. I highly doubt this is Crota due to his coloration, but I'm open to believe. What else is curious are the three floating apparitions near him. SPINFOIL: Could they possibly be reversals of our Guardians like in the final fight in Diablo 3?

Moon Landing Zone 9
This right here sparked so many memories for me, and I can guarantee the other D1 vets. This is the Moon's main landing zone, Archer's Line in the Ocean of Storms. For reference, here's what it looked like back in ye olde Destiny 1.

Nightmare of Ghaul 10.1 and 10.2
In the first image, we can clearly see a Nightmare of Ghaul in area just like in pic 8.3. SPINFOIL: Maybe we'll get an introduction to the Nightmares like the Barons in Forsaken before hunting them? Pic 10.2 is just gameplay of the fight against Nightmare Ghaul, which looks like it will play similarly to the last mission in Destiny 2's vanilla campaign, simple enough...right?

Gate Lord, Reborn 11.1 and 11.2
To those who never played Destiny 1, this Nightmare is Zydron, the Gate Lord our Guardian killed and whose Eye we grabbed to prove our worth to the Awoken. His eye is also the artifact they show in the trailer. This just shows just how powerful the main enemy is, they are able to "resurrect" a Gate Lord.

Oversoul Throne 12
Here we see a Hunter and a Warlock fighting inside Crota's Oversoul Throne. For those not in the know, this was where Crota was at the end of the Crota's End raid strike and where we claimed Crota's essence to become Ascendant in The Taken King expansion's campaign.

Unchained Nightmare 13
So much nostalgia for us Destiny 1 vets, eh? To those who do not know, this beefy Ogre boi is Phogoth, the Untamed, the boss for The Summoning Pits strike. He was unique in the fact that his weak point was like Golgoroth's, it was his chest. It also appears that Phogoth is still in his same area like in Destiny 1.

Scarlet Cathedral 14.1 and 14.2
Here are some aesthetically pleasing screenshots of what I'm calling the "Scarlet Cathedral".

New Exotic Sparrow 15
I say "Exotic Sparrow" because...come on. What other quality sparrow has a freaking shark on it? I mean, look at Zambezi and it's blatant reference to Dragon's Breath.

More Amazing Armor 16
Can we get a unanimous applause for the art designers and their work on the armor sets for Destiny? Just look at this badass Warlock.

Old Armor, New Armor 17.1 17.2 and 17.3
This pan around showcases new armor sets and old ones, further cementing the fact that all Legendary armor will be compatible with Armor 2.0.

Solstice of Heroes Tease 18
Here we see a few devs talking about the Solstice of Heroes armor for the upcoming return to the event. Wonder what changes they have in store...

Armor 2.0 19
And here we have what is going to be the biggest addition to how we shape our Guardians. On this screen, we first see that armor will have three mod slots.
It looks like we have to really think about what we need to put on the armor based on the numbers on the mods and the "Energy"
It looks like our Armor can be upgraded based on the fact there are 2 Energy slots to be unlocked, to a Max Energy of 10. This is the kind of investment me and I know a bunch of others have been waiting for.
And we can't forget about the stats in the bottom right corner. Immediately, you can see that they are readding Intellect, Discipline, and Strength. To the ones who only played Destiny 2:
This means we can not only tune our speed, damage resistance, and health regeneration, but we will now be able to tune our cooldowns even further. I can't wait to see the PvE and PvP builds that will come from this.

Return of Artifacts 20.1 and 20.2
Artifacts were introduced in The Rise of Iron as a way maximize your builds. Sadly, they were removed throughout Destiny 2's lifespan...until now. Artifacts look like they're getting a complete overhaul. To me, it looks like you'll be able to unlock mods to improve those that are on your guns, like Rampage Mod on Breakneck, because you can see Rapid Hit and Scout Rifle Dexterity, among some of the things.
What's really curious is the section on the right. Those appear to be Class will we be able to have abilities from different trees?
In pic 20.2, you can also see that the Artifact slot will be under our Ghost slot, unlike D1 where it was under our Class Armor, where the Clan Banner is.

Wolf Kell, Skolas 21
Here we see the Nightmare form of Skolas, the Kell of the House of Wolves. Here's a few CliffNotes on why he's here:

Finish Him! 22.1 22.2 and 22.3
Bungie is really opening the floodgate on new stuff coming to Destiny 2. This one is finishing moves. As described in the ViDoc:
There are many things still unclear about the Finishing Moves:
Either way, these are sick and are a welcome addition to how Guardians will fight and how Guardians choose their fights.

New Weapons 23
Here we see some test footage on Downtown (or whatever the map is) of two weapons: one being a new Kinetic Bow (possibly High Impact based on the Recurve style is has) and a Solar Fusion Rifle, which stick out to me as Exotic because of its unique scope and the fact that Solar Fusion Rifles are not that common above Legendary, the only ones being Cartesian Coordinate, Elatha FR4, Proelium FR3, Timelines' Vertex, Man O' War, 1k Voices, Sleeper, Jötunn, and Merciless.

Activity on Venus? 24
This right here is either a Strike on Venus, or is part of the vast play space in the Black Garden raid. It's probably a little piece of the raid, but we won't know for sure until later this summer.

New Character Screen? 25
This character screen right here sticks out like a sore thumb. For one, you can see the Guardian's sparrow behind it and their Ghost floating near the Power Level. Another thing to note is the Stat bar, which is extended to fit Intellect, Discipline, and Strength numbers, further cementing Armor 2.0.

New Exotic Heavy Bow 26.1 and 26.2
Here we see a small show case of the very first Heavy Bow in Destiny. The HUD in both pics shows us that it will be a Solar bow as well. But I have to disagree with what she said about the Bow's knockback: that is not too much...that's just right. But hey, I'm not the designer so I have no say. I am nicknaming this Strongbow not sponsored or affiliated with Strongbow Hard Cider.

New Exotic Trace Rifle 27.1 27.2.1 27.3.1 27.3.2 and 27.4
Ho boy...where to begin with this unique weapon? First thing's first, no, I highly doubt it will be a "Kinetic" Trace Rifle...that's what Auto Rifles are :^) I do believe this will be Arc, like Coldheart. Second, it's perk. The perk was described to us as "making a big crit spot". This is like slapping Coldheart and Prometheus Lens together and forcing them to make this Franken-baby. The fact that it creates a giant crit spot for your teammates in addition to dealing it's own damage? I see much potential for boss melting. (I found out that pic 27.2.2 is just a Hunter using the Gambit Prime Grenade Launcher as I was typing this :v) I seriously hope that this is not the Raid Exotic. It's possible, but only because of it's Vex-like theme.

New Exotic Hand Cannon...Sniper Rifle? 28.1 and 28.2
Immediately I'm reminded of my Black Ops 2 days...where I would always slap an ACOG scope on my .44 Magnum. This looks like a beast. It's probably going to have the highest Impact and Range stats our of all Hand Cannons, but then also have the slowest RPM and the worst Stability and Reload Speed to compensate. Plus, it makes the enemies go BOOM.

New Exotic Light Machine Gun? 29
While they were showcasing and talking about the Hand Cannon/Sniper Rifle hybrid, this Warlock's LMG stuck out to me. It is so unique and different that it was screaming that is was a new Exotic. Just look at it! It looks like a rusted M249 SAW!

Returning Crucible Game Modes 30
I'm just going to get the out of the way and say that I HATE Crucible. Not Crucible overall...just Destiny 2 Crucible. There's a long list of what I want to return and I can see that the return of Elimination is just the tip of the iceberg. The two things I want most of all are the return to the pick your game mode style of Destiny and RIFT. also who uses Nighthawk in Crucible lol

New Power Cap Leak? 31
This dev right here was eliminate by another who is a Power Level of 900. It would somewhat make sense because Forsaken raised the cap by 250, going from 350 to 600, so a 150 Power Level increase would be just fine...or is that a placeholder for a bigger number?

Sniper: The Map 32.1 and 32.2
Ah, Widow's Court. Where noobs got endlessly sniped and the birthplace of many PvP Snipe Gods. I know that the sightlines will not be different in anyway. Time for me to clean up my Sniper skills.

Sector 618 Returns 33.1 33.2 and 33.3
Sector 618 was a Playstation-exclusive Crucible Map that arrived with the Taken King expansion. It's a very close range map with lots of cover to three peak and blast others away with Shotguns. Now the titan in pic 33.2 is holding a rather peculiar LMG, so that might be a new Exotic right there, might. But it's pic 33.3 that really has me pumped. This Warlock right here is holding the Swiss Army Knife of Exotic weapons: the Khvostov 7G-0X. The Khvostov 7G-02 model was our Guardian's very first weapon in Destiny's history. Bungie decided to make it into an Exotic in Rise of Iron where you can tune the Fire Right and Firing Mode with perks to synergize with. I don't know about you, but this has me really excited.

Bridge Totems 34
I immediately got horrible flashbacks to Crota's End's Bridge encounter. It was by far the worst of all encounters in all the raids thanks to those Totems, which insta-kill your team when they get pissed. My theory as to why they are here is they are either for a Strike or the all new Dungeon.

Hive Cryptoglyph 35
I have no idea what the hell this thing is even outside of the Shadowkeep Collector's Edition listing calling it a Hive Cryptoglyph. This might play an important role in our journey to discover the Moon's dark secrets. This also appears to be inside Eris Morn's vendor space.

Scarlet Cathedral Courtyard 36.1 and 36.2
Here we see a developer working on a courtyard to the new Scarlet Cathedral space. Thanks to the rendering on screen, we can see that this is where the Bridge Totems will be due to the three black monoliths on the screen. SPINFOIL: My theory is that this is the entry point for the new Dungeon.

Year 3 Wormhusk Crown? And the Weird Sword 37
Here we see the Guardians running through explosions like the badasses they are. But if you focus on the Hunter to the left, you can see that they have Wormhusk Crown on their head and the weird sword on their back. I would not be mad at all if they decide to bring update Exotics in Shadowkeep like they did with Taken King. Now I theorize that the sword might be a Legendary reward for completing the campaign, like the Class-exclusive sword from vanilla D2

New Dungeon Space? 38.1 and 38.2
These two screenshots are what I believe to be the new Dungeon coming with Shadowkeep. It would not be a surprise at all since Bungie teased the Shattered Throne dungeon way back in Forsaken's reveal trailer. Either way, this space looks hauntingly amazing.

Black Garden Raid 39.1 39.2 39.3 39.4 39.5 39.6 39.7 39.8 39.9 39.10 39.11 39.12 39.13
Now while most of the screenshots I took are for aesthetic purposes, the important ones are 39.5, 39.8, and 39.12.

New Hive Design 40
This looks like a really nice redesign for the Hive. Warmind's Frozen Hive was cool because the Cursed Thrall chilled you and the Scratchy Bois had Arc damage, but these look terrifying and I love it.

Back to Basics 41.1 41.2 41.3
As stated in the stream, THIS IS NOT DESTINY 1 REMASTERED. This is only the first mission ever in the Destiny universe. This is what players will experience in the first 15-20min of Destiny 2: New Light. This made me cry from how beautiful it looked and the wave of nostalgia that hit. This also cements the fact that Khvostov will be an Exotic coming with Shadowfall.

Cross Save, baby 42.1 42.2
This is the greatest thing to come in all of Destiny's history and emphasizes their commonly used phrase in the ViDoc: "breaking down barriers". A lot of people are saying "Oh you still need to buy the DLC on the other systems". Well I think that's not going to be an issue thanks to D2: New Light. The only DLC you'll need to buy then is Shadowkeep and whatever Season Pass you want. It also looks like it can be Deactivated, but who wants to do that, right?

Another Exotic Sparrow 43
It's kind of hard to not call the Sparrow on the right an Exotic. Just look how unique the design is and the lights on it too.

Area Inside the Cathedral 44
Behind the developer we can see an early render of a space within the Scarlet Cathedral on the Moon. There many possibilities as to how we can go there: Patrol, Story Mission, Adventure, or Dungeon.

We're getting tanks on the Moon! I seriously hope that this isn't restricted to just a story mission like in vanilla Destiny 2, I want to be able to use the Tanks within the Patrol space during Public Events and Adventures.

I really hope you enjoyed my very first breakdown of a Bungie ViDoc. This took so many hours to construct and I am finishing this with about four hours of total sleep haha. Feel free to give your thoughts below and feel free to tell me things that you noticed as well!

DOC3 - More Facts and Questions (Part 1)

Trump talks about Boris Johnson at press conference (26th August 2019, G7 - Biarritz, France) "I've been waiting for him [Boris Johnson] to be PM [Prime Minister] for about 6 years. I told him "What took you so long?".

"I've been waiting for him to be PM for about 6 years. I said to him 'What took you so long?'" Does this imply?;
- [I was on time]
- [You were not on time]
- [They both knew their destination in Summer 2013; 1 year before B announced decision to rn for Parliament and 2 years before T announced his decision to rn for Presidency.]
- [The joint destination was the most powerful political position in their respective nations]

Given their lack of public association in 2013, what occurred that Summer of 2013 for Trump, a TV show host, cameo specialist and New York property magnate to begin waiting for the then mayor or London, Boris, to attain the most powerful position in UK?
Once they have both attained the most powerful political positions in their respective countries, what do they plan to do?

It was a far left party which came to prominence during the years of the Thatcher Conservative Government] ... He abandoned them [The Tories] to get elected and after he was elected he said he was a Tory again". Jessica Pulay who was also at Oxford at the same time said he was "extremely clever at not really revealing his political cards at any point". When asked how he hid his real opinions, Pulay said "His humour. And the fact that he's not an ideologue - or if he is, he keeps it very well-concealed".
- Boris Johnson - who was known for regularly changing his political opinions to best deliver his ambitions for power i.e. say whatever makes you popular, and also for keeping his True beliefs and opinions close to his chest or having none - was remembered by several people for a very uncharacteristic moment, where he became very visibly upset on a point of principle; someone had said something anti-semitic. At this time, UK was experiencing a delicate diplomatic face off with Russia against a backdrop of biting economic sanctions and the Litvinenko-like poisoning of Sergei Skripal and his daughter in broad daylight in Salisbury, UK. Their press conference begins with spontaneos comic roleplay between the two, alluding to cold war spy thrillers: Boris Johnson to Lavrov "No-one has searched my pockets". Lavrov to Boris "There's nothing in your pockets worth finding". Boris to Lavrov "A ha!" [both laugh genuinely]. They seem to be on very friendly terms. The laughter is geniune and spontaneous.

- Boris Johnson accepts recommendation from Inteligence chiefs to allow Huawei into UK's 5G network infrastrctre. This is in direct oppositin to Trump's publically stated wishes and is a major snb for Trump and the USA in China's favor. Trump has made it clear that allowing Huawei into UK's 5G infrastructure threatens the continuation of the 'five eyes' intelligence sharing practice, which keeps USA, UK, Australia, New Zealand and Canada safe from external threats e.g. terrorism, state sponsored attacks.

- Will UK's position in critical trade negotiations be stronger or weaker based on Huawei decision?
- Will UK intelligence agencies be stronger or weaker if Trump ends intelligence sharing?
- Will UK's relationship with the USA be strengthened or weakened by the Huawei decision?
- Given that people usually want power to make changes, and that Boris Johnson doesn't seem to have any clear and consistent reasons for wanting power, what are Boris Johnson's motives? - Why did Barack Obama remove the bust of Winston Churchill from the Oval Office in the White House?
- Does Boris Johnson's interaction with Lavrov, Russian Foreign Minister, ring True? Russia and the UK are supposed to be serious and long-standing adversaries. Both are nuclear-armed states and permanent members of the UN Secrity CoUNcil, which are supposedly at fUNdamental odds with each other. At the time of this meeting, Russia was - and still is - under heavy economic sanctions from USA, UK and EU for alleged interference in UKrainian elections, the annexation of Crimea and the destablisation of Eastern Ukraine, as well as alleged responsibility for shooting down of passenger plane over UKraine and for ordering the attempted assassination of ex-Russian-soldier-turned-UK-Spy, Sergei Skripal, on UK soil, in flagrant disregard for UK's sovereignty, safety or security[watch video].
- Given warnings of all sorts of shortages that could occur on UK's exit from European Union, why would Boris Johnson's government halve the required amount of emergency supplies of fuel within days of gaining political power in the UK?
- So many other Qs, bt no time to write them. Help me write the questions and piece the pzzle together.

Boris Johnson's BROTHER - Jo Johnson
Education: Eton and Oxford University
Jobs: The City, Journalist (Financial Times), MP (Minister for Universities, Head of Policy)

Boris Johnson Character (as reflection of factual pblic record; spoken and written words, political positions and actions).

Boris Johnson mostly adjusts his views, words and actions according to the situation. Some repeatedly come back when not inconventient. He chooses that which will gain him power e.g.
- Boris Johnson has long been an advocate of Turkish membership of European Union.
- Boris Johnson insulted TurkishPresident Erdogan
- Boris Johnson advocated Vote Leave which had as one of its core concerns Turkish membership f European Union due to the dominant religious demographic of Turkey.
- Boris Johnson criticised Islam as being inferior to the West and lagging well behind the advancements made.
- Boris Johnson insists that UK needs to take back control of immigration, knowing that reducing immigration is strongly desired by a significant proportion of the UK Public, especially those right of centre.
- Boris Johnson removes the minimum \A330,000 salary requirement for any immigration applications

* Bullingdon Club
- The Bullingdon Club Johnson was an outrageous, debauched, invitation-only members Club for the rich and high-powered young men of Oxford University. There were shocking initiation ceremonies which ensured the actions of those in the Club remained secret.
- around the time of the Brexit Vote, there were reports that David Cameron once put his penis into the mouth of a dead pig.
- Known members of the Bullingdon Club include Boris Johnson, David Cameron, Jeremy Hunt, etc.
- Previous similar 'Clubs' of ill-repute for the rich and high-powered have existed throughout the past several hundred years in the UK e.g. the Hellfire Club of London in the 17th or 18th Century, which boasted many influential members. A list of members was destroyed at the time, but correspondence between high society people of the era have enabled historians to piece together who attended and were therefore likely members. The list included John Wilkes, Radical Leftist Journalist and thorn-in-the-side-MP of the then UK Government and King, and Benjamin Franklin.
- There is a famous case of a woman who claims to have been sexually abused as a young child at a party in a European Castle attended by the rich and high-powered in the 1980s. The description of the parties are so incredible e.g. waiters dressed up as rabbits, children forced to eat dog faeces, children murdered after being sexually abused and degraded, that they seem UNbelievable. Too fantastical to be believed. would you believe a small child who said rabbit waiters were in a castle with all these famous high-powered people who abused you or the famous high-powered people?
- Prince Andrew attended some extremely Questionable parties hosted by Mr Jeffry Epstein, a convicted paedophile who recently died in prison pending a further trial. These parties were enabled by Ghislaine Maxwell, daughter of Robert Maxwell, previous owner of the Sun Newspaper - most popular newspaper in the UK - whose Editors mercilessly targetted Royals and Politicians. He died in mysterious circumstances; he was lost at sea after falling overboard on his yatch.
- There have been famous cases in British politics/high societies of the 1980s where very senior politicians, senior policemen and even royalty have reportedly sexually abused children and young people.

Question: If someone rich and high-powered was compelled in blind drUNkeness to do something so appalling at one of these Clubs' sessions, and if photo/video evidence existed of them doing it which would destroy their reptations and potentially put them in jail, would they be free to make their own decisions or could they become compromised agents of an UNknown group, forever carrying out the instrctions given to them, the threat of exposure hanging over them forever. Trapped?
Question: What did Boris mean in election pledge to "Unleash Britain's Potential"?
Question: What did Boris mean when he told Merkel, Macron, Tusk etc that Iran should come round to "our way of doing things?"

John Wilkes great nephew, fighting for the Union Army of Abraham Lincoln, intercepted the British Mail Packet ship 'Trent' dring the American Civil War. It carried 2 Confederate Diplomats, on their way to Europe to attempt to gain support from France and UKfor the Confederate forces. It caused a major diplomatic incident between the USA and the UK. Apparently, only Lincoln's disavowment - but no apology - of Wilkes' actions stopped UKentering the war.

John Wilkes Booth assassinated Abraham Lincoln
John Wilkes Booth is a distant relative of Cherie Blair (nee Booth). Her father was a semi-famous actor.
Cherie Blair (nee Booth) married Tony Blair who became Prime Minister.
Tony Blair was persuaded by INTELLIGENCE and those around him to invade Iraq. Trned ot the false intelligence was provided by an Iraqi who had fled to Germany. He'd passed the info to Germany intelligence who then shared it with Britain and Americans. Americans reinterviewed him. He claimed that he had worked as a scientist at a scientific research base in Iraq that was creating weapons of mass destrction. He referred to some cylindrical containers supposed to contain chemical weapons. This intelligence formed the basis of the decision by Tony Blair to go to war in Iraq. Years later after the war, the man who provided the intelligence was approached by a journalist and when told that the information he had provided turned out to be false, he said "I know" and smiled.
Tony Blair converted from Church of England to Catholicism and said his wife was the main reason.
Cherie Blair (nee Booth)'s sister recently converted to Islam.

T spoke positively of P in USA election campaign.
P spoke positively of T in USA election campaign.
T and P have had off-record, private conversations at the side-lines of global events
P wanted T in power.
P did not want Hi in power.
P had a motive for putting T in power which is unstated.
P must have begun planning complex and significant USA Election 2016 operation long before the 2016 election.
P is in his latter years and he has been building and shaping Rssia for over 10 years unopposed, continuously increasing his grip on power over Rssia and the Rssian people.

T about EU "Now you wouldn't think of the European Union [as a foe], but they're a foe"

4) T and UN
UN is a group of all the world's nations, like a global parliament, led by Security Council
UN security counil is made up 5 countries; UK, USA, France, China and Russia. Each holds a veto on UN decisions. Each is armed with nuclear weapons.
USA is the biggest contributor to United Nations budget and it is head quartered in New York City].

5) T and NATO
NATO is a group of nations near the North Atlantic, formed in aftermath of WW2 as bulwark against Russia, led by USA, UK, Germany and France, with more power together than apart.

T described NATO as obsolete and threatened to pull out if other nations, like Germany and France did not increase their fnding to 2% of GDP (the minimum reqirement).

5.5) T and G7 (a grop of the wealthiest nations in the world minus China and Rssia)

T to B in 2019 G7 meeting "I've waited 6 years for this".
- T was elected in 2016 and decided to run in 2014/5, 5 years previous.

What is the 'this'?
'This' clearly refers to a planned event to which B is a party.
'This' is spoken in front of the other G7 leaders, which implies they are part of 'this'.

In 2019 G7 meeting, in an nprecented and unscheduled development, an Iranian contingent flew in uninvited and immediately joined the top table of world economies for emergency talks alongside T, B, Me, Ma, Ty, Tr etc. A photograph is taken. Everyone is smiling.

Why would Iran, which ranks x in the GDP tables, be allowed to gate crash the G7 above all other countries?
What was discussed?
Why couldn't it wait?

G7 consists of the top 7 largest global economies exclding China. (Was G8 until Russia expelled).
G7 is the most secretive and highest security meeting in world. No-one can get within a mile of the meeting.
G7 events are largely off camera and in private.
G7 events end with a joint communication containing a summary of what was discssed and agreed between the parties.

6) T and X
X represents China at highest level
T represents USA at highest level
X and T cannot hide their dislike/distaste for each other. No genuine smiles.
T to press conference on visit to China (while pointing to sky) "I am the chosen one"
T strongly opposes X's policies and practices in relation to USA and its interests on many fronts and thinks O was too soft on China.
T to X in 2019 re bilateral relations between USA/China against backdrop of N.Korean belligerence and missle testing and economic sanctions and trade deal negotiations "[condescendingly] It's a tough game"

What 'Game' is T referring to?
- Infers they are both playing the game.

Myanmar's military forcefully removed Rohinghas from Myanmar.
Myanmar's military's orders to forcefully remvoe the Rohingha led to Rohingha refugees in other countries.
Myanmar's military's orders to forceflly remove the Rohingha led to the mrder and rape of some Rohingha.
Sun reacted angrily to accusations from BBC journalist that she supported/did not forceflly criticise the forced removal of Rohinghas from Myanmar.
Sun's Myanmar are under investigation in the International Courts for the military's actions against the Rohingha in Myanmar. This is similar to the sitation in Kosovo will likely lead to a Kosovo solution whereby Rohinghas are allowed back and form their own territory which will gradually be recognised by other countries around the world.
Big genuine smiles between Xi and Sun in recent meeting between two leaders.

X has set up reeducation camps to "reeducate" the Xighyrs and steer them away from Extreme forms of Islam and toward Communist party.
X's orders have led to the destrction of some Mosques.
X's orders have led to Xighyr refugees leaving China.

B and P's Foreign Secretary, L
Visited Russia as Foreign Secretary and met with L.
At this time, Britain was supposedly experiencing a delicate diplomatic sitation with Rssia against a backdrop of the copycat Litvinenko poisoning of Skripal and daughter in broad daylight in Salisbury and economic sanctions.
Press conference begins with spontaneos comic roleplay between the two, alluding to cold war spy thrillers B to L "No-one has searched my pockets" L to B "There's nothing in your pockets worth finding" B to L "A ha!" [both laugh genuinely].

Their interaction as adversaries who were at odds does not ring true. They seem to be on very friendly terms. The laghter is geniune and spontaneous. You would not joke around with someone representing a hostile state which has jst attempted the dangerous political assassination of a citizen on your country's streets in flagrant disregard for that contry's sovereignty and security.

B and Ty

Visited Europe as new-Prime Minister and met with Me. At this time, Britain was supposedly experiencing a delicate diplomatic sitation with European Union against a backdrop of tough Brexit negotiations which had stalled completely.
- B and his hard brexit allies N and J had repeatedly scuppered several versions of the deal to the fury and disappointment of the european union.
- B and the "lies" he was accused of telling were also blamed for the Leave vote generally.
- B has spent most of his political and journalistic career attacking and lampooning the eropean union (since the 1990s).
- B had recently likened Brexit to escaping from a Nazi prison camp, which to the Polish Ty, ex-prime minister

Smellalikes, Dupes, and Clones from a Legal, Business and Industry Perspective [Part I, maybe]

When the fragrance industry was an insular group of unconnected companies operating a lot like medieval craft guilds, and before the advent of GCMS technology, fragrance trade secrets and intellectual property were relatively easy to protect. But even way back then, brands and marks like Chartreuse liqueur, Meissen, and Champagne were subject to trademark appropriation and infringement. These days, the only protections of varying effectiveness and enforcement left to original brands are proprietary and/or exclusive Ingredients; money, a strong identity and brand that encompasses not just perfume but a range of branded products, and trade dress. The latter two don't necessarily have to be costly legal challenges after the fact. They can be deterrents.
"Trade dress is a legal term of art that generally refers to characteristics of the visual appearance of a product or its packaging (or even the design of a building) that signify the source of the product to consumers.Trade dress is a form of intellectual property." Wikipedia
Trade dress takes trademark infringement a step further. In the U.S., the Lanham Act protects trade dress if it serves the same source-identifying function as a trademark. It is possible to register trade dress as a trademark, but for practical reasons most trade dress and product configurations are protected without registration under 15 U.S.C. § 1125(a)." 1
"Trade dress creates a visual impression which functions like a word or design mark, as an indicator of source. For example, the Chanel No. 5 bottle is instantly recognizable as the Chanel No. 5 bottle, even without the “Chanel” name on it"...."The success of a plaintiff’s trade dress infringement claim turns on whether defendant’s mark causes a likelihood of confusion amongst consumers that the plaintiff has in some way endorsed defendant’s goods/services or is connected or affiliated with the defendant and its goods/services." 2
In the US, "while trade secrets...are not broadly protected under federal statute, they are regarded as intellectual property alongside information protected by patents, copyrights, and trademarks." However, with the exception of a few legal carve outs for semiconductor chips, digital content anti-circumvention technologies, and original boat hull designs, it is "generally legally permissible in the United States to acquire trade secrets through reverse engineering."
The EU Directive on trade secrets establishes an even more liberal policy toward the acquisition of trade secrets through reverse engineering. Yet conversely, the "acquisition of trade secrets eventually could result in the evisceration of innovation in this industry and lead to the failure of this market." 3
Trademark infringement weakens the exact same original brands that clone manufacturers lean heavily on to position their own products.. in diluting the strength of original brands, those marketing "similar to", "inspired by", or "impressions of" ultimately weaken their own sales. "Failure of the market" is not relegated to trademarked brands
While original fragrance manufacturers don't patent formulas, they do trademark names. Clone companies rely greatly on these names to sell their copycat fragrances. When DUA or another clone company has a drop-down list of manufacturer trademarks, does that fall under trademark infringement or trade dress?
"L’Oreal scored a major victory in trademark protection against smell-alike perfumes this past month in England’s Court of Appeal. In L’Oréal v. Bellure, the court held that Bellure’s use of lists in its advertising that compared its perfumes’ scents to those of well-known L’Oréal perfumes constituted trademark infringement.
Justice Jacob ruled in favor of L’Oréal due to the strict language of European trademark law, which provides that if the use of another’s trademark goes beyond being solely descriptive and instead affects the advertising functions of the trademark for the purposes of publicizing a replica, then it is not permissible use. The advantage that Bellure gained from the use of L’Oréal’s trademarks was regarded by the court as unlawful "free-riding" on the trademarks’ prestige.
Bellure’s advertising in the U.S. would have been analyzed under the doctrine of fair use. In general, comparative advertising is regarded as fair use when the comparison being made is clear, not likely to generate confusion about the identity of the products, and does not suggest that the trademark holder endorses the product being advertised. Non-deceptive comparative advertising is encouraged in this country, because it assists consumers in making better choices when purchasing goods, promotes product improvements and encourages lower prices, echoing some of the concerns of Justice Jacob." 4
It's not Counterfeit or Intellual Property Theft;, It's Trademark Infringement.
"*In Coty, Inc., et. al. v. Excell Brands, LLC, a high-end fragrance company sued an all-but-dissolved manufacturer of knockoff fragrances for trademark infringement, trademark dilution and false advertising. Excell identified high-end fragrances to style themselves after, and then sold nearly identical-looking fragrances at retailers such as Dollar General and Walmart. Excell used plaintiffs’ exact house and product trademarks, similar bottle colors and sizes and gave their fragrances related names.
However, the Excell fragrances’ packaging included a disclaimer. For example, a front label of an Excell fragrance would read, “Our Version of — Eternity, by Calvin Klein.” The back label read, “Not Associated with the Makers of — Eternity, by Calvin Klein.” Both labels included the plaintiff’s registered trademarks, in addition to Excell’s own brand name in smaller lettering."
Coty won.
When Knockoffs Get Dangerous
Bill Bronson, CEO of Ruffin, "had been 80 feet below the surface of Subic Bay, exploring the wreck of the USS New York, when he had found it nearly impossible to breathe. His watch indicated he had been down no more than 20 minutes, so how could an air supply that would normally last him more than an hour be gone? That’s when he realized the bezel was no longer locked, and the instrument he had thought was his company’s premier dive watch was, in fact, useless. He shot to the surface in desperation and then spent the next three days in and out of a recompression chamber, undergoing hyperbaric oxygen treatment to stave off the sometimes-fatal bends.
Just after his recovery, Bill abruptly fired the Ruffin marketing director who had given him the watch just to see if Bill could recognize it as a knockoff, intending to let Bill in on the joke long before he could ever actually use the thing." 5
Generic drugs are highly regulated, legal copies. They bear the exact same formula, chemical name and dosage. Generics come on the market when the original drug's patent protections have expired. They are subject to regulations (national or transnational) and are manufactured per industry agreements, standards, and inspection. 6 Recently there have been contamination recalls of generic drugs (e.g. Losartan) by the FDA from specific generic drug manufacturers. Copycat perfumes do not follow any regulations. 7
Brands that Clones and Counterfeits Avoid?
Clones/Dupes that skirt or totally avoid Trade Dress
Armaf - doesn't seem to even have a website, sells through distributors, and doesn't mention smell alikes. Its customers do free marketing.
Parfums Vintage -- doesn't mention smell alikes at all. Its customers do free marketing
Swiss Arabian -- although I have seen one of their products on eBay called Encens Mythique d'Orient.
Clones/Dupe Manufacturers Likely Trademark Infringing
Alexandria -- You can filter by proprietary name or manufacturer. Very little mention of "smells like" in product copy.

[Game Preview] Week 1 - Atlanta Falcons (0-0) at Philadelphia Eagles(0-0)

Atlanta Falcons (0-0) at Philadelphia Eagles (0-0)
The Eagles open their first season as defending Super Bowl Champion against a team they faced on the road to their Super Bowl win. The Falcons gave the Eagles one of their toughest tests and took them down to the wire in the Eagles 15-10 win. The Eagles will once again be turning to their backup QB Nick Foles to lead them to victory as Carson Wentz continues to rehab his injured knee. Foles will look to find some of the magic that made him a Super Bowl MVP, a he struggled in his last game against the Falcons and has struggled throughout his preseason appearances this year. Foles will get some help as future Hall of Famer Jason Peters will return to watch his blindside and Swiss Army Knife Darren Sproles returns to do everything. The offense will still have a tough task, the Falcons have a fast defense that flies to the football and gets to the quarterback. On the other side of the football, the Eagles will also be shorthanded at LB where Nigel Bradham is serving his 1 game suspension for punching a cabana boy two years ago, however they do get Jordan Hicks back from a torn achilles that forced him to miss most of last season. The Eagles will also be swapping out some new faces for key contributors last including Michael Bennett for Vinny Curry, Sidney Jones for Patrick Robinson and Haloti Ngata for Beau Allen. The defense will be up to a tough task facing one of the best QBs in the league in Matt Ryan who has a plethora of weapons at his disposal including one of, if not the best receiving corps that includes Julio Jones, Mohamed Sanu and rookie first round pick Calvin Ridley. Even if the Eagles are put to the challenge of shutting down a dangerous Falcons passing attack, they will also need to deal with the 1 - 2 punch of Devonta Freemen and Tevin Coleman. NFL fans should be in for a treat because this has all the makings of a tough fought slugfest on both sides of the ball to kick off the season with Thursday Night Football.

Since 2016, Philadelphia has produced a 15-3 home record (including playoffs), which marks the best home winning percentage (.833) in the NFL in that span.
The Eagles have won 11 of their last 12 home games dating back to Week 16 of 2016. Philadelphia finished the 2017 season with a 9-1 record at Lincoln Financial Field.
In 2017, the Eagles outscored their opponents, 282-124 (+158), over 10 regular-season and postseason games at Lincoln Financial Field. Philadelphia’s 229 points scored at home during the regular season marked the 4th-highest single-season mark in team history and the Eagles’ most since the 2014 campaign (franchise-record 261).
Philadelphia is aiming to win its third consecutive season opener (9/11/16: W, 29-10 vs. Cle.; 9/10/17: W, 30-17 at Was.), which would tie for the 3rd- longest streak in franchise history (1st: 6 from 1942-47; 2nd: 4 from 2011-14).
Doug Pederson can become just the fourth head coach in Eagles history to win three straight opening day games, joining Rich Kotite(3, 1991-93), Dick Vermeil (3, 1979-81) and Greasy Neale (6, 1942-47).
Philadelphia has won each of its last two home openers (9/11/16: W, 29-10 vs. Cle.; 9/24/17: W, 27-24 vs. NYG) and can tie for the 2nd-longest streak in team history with a win on Thursday night (1st: 5 from 1945-49). Pederson can join Joe Kuharich (4, 1964-67) as the only Eagles head coaches to win their first three home openers with the team.
Doug Pederson became the eighth head coach in NFL history to win the Super Bowl in their first two seasons as a head coach (first since Mike Tomlin in 2008).
Pederson also became the seventh head coach in NFL history to win the Super Bowl in his first playoff run as a head coach (first since Brian Billick in 2000).
Pederson became just the fourth head coach in NFL history to win the Super Bowl following a sub-.500 record the previous season, joining Bill Belichick (2001 Patriots), Dick Vermeil (1999 Rams) and Bill Walsh (1981 49ers).

Matchups to Watch
Nick Foles vs Falcons Pass Defense
All eyes should be on the Eagles Week 1 starter for the opener. Coming off an excellent playoff run culminating in a Super Bowl MVP award, Nick Foles takes the helm as Carson Wentz continues his rehab. What Foles has shown in his career are incredible highs and incredible lows; this includes a relatively shaky preseason where Doug Pederson went the disappointed father route when discussing Foles poor play against the Browns a couple of weeks ago. It's important not to take too much away from the preseason since the coaching staff isn't game-planning extensively like they will for this matchup while also missing several offensive starters. Entering week 1 the Eagles will still be down one starter in Alshon Jeffery and another offensive contributor in Mack Hollins. Even with the benefit of preparation, the Falcons are one of the best teams in the NFL and tend to suffocate opponents against the pass. The Seattle-style defense is flush with high-end athletes that prevent a lot of big plays. Doug Pederson is 2-0 vs the Falcons as the Eagles Head Coach and in those 2 games the Eagles have 0 passing TDs. Foles was pretty decent against the Falcons in the playoffs and I think needs to be more consistently good in this one to keep the offense on schedule. This will be a a difficult task without Jeffery and some new pieces to work into the offense. Even with the capable backs the Eagles possess, they only averaged 3 yards per carry against the Falcons in the playoffs on 32 carries. In order for the offenses to be more efficient the passing game needs be good early and often. They cannot afford to put themselves in situations where they have to chase the Falcons through the air.
Eagles Secondary vs. Falcons Passing Attack
The Falcons have a plethora of weapons to contend with on the offensive side of the ball that can make life difficult for the Eagles defense. Everyone knows Julio Jones is a monster and has shredded the Eagles secondary in his last 3 games against Philly. Julio probably should perform this way; he is an elite talent and the Eagles haven't had a strong secondary. What has helped the Eagles in the last two outings against the Falcons is limiting the damage done by the supporting cast. Sanu is a good number 2 receiver and a reliable passing option to keep the offense on schedule. The addition of first round rookie Calvin Ridley can also help the offense be more explosive than it was in 2017. There will be an adjustment for Ridley to the pro game but he is already a very good route runner with good speed that is an upgrade over what they had previously. Austin Hooper is a reliable, if unexciting tight end option as well and helps make the offense efficient much like Sanu. Lastly, Freeman and Coleman are one of the best RB pairings in football and also excellent in the passing game. While it'll be important for the Eagles stingy run defense to continue to control the line of scrimmage, the Falcons offense has a number of very good weapons for Matt Ryan to use in the passing game. It'll be up to the Eagles young and ascending secondary to take a step forward early in the season. The Eagles also need Jordan Hicks to return to form in a hurry as Nigel Bradham serves his one game suspension.
Eagles Offensive & Defensive Line vs Falcons Offensive & Defensive Line
The battles that will have the greatest influence on the game, especially for the Eagles, is along the trenches. The Eagles enter the season with their OL 100% healthy as Peters makes his return to left tackle. One thing the Eagles haven't had in their 2 matchups against the Falcons under Doug Pederson is OL continuity. Lane Johnson was suspended for the 2016 meeting and Jason Peters was on injured reserve for the playoff match up. The addition of Peters back into the line up is big for the Eagles as they are incorporating some new pieces into the offense while missing Jeffery. The Falcons have a young, fast, and aggressive DL that can cause problems for opposing offenses. Even without Peters, the Eagles finished as PFFs best offensive line in 2017 and will look to maintain their status as one of the best units in the league. Both tackles are more than capable of erasing the EDGE defenders the Falcons have to go along with an All-Pro caliber Guard in Brandon Brooks and All-Pro Center Jason Kelce. While Wisniewski doesn't share in the same accolades as his other linemen, he is a very reliable LG in his own right. Controlling the line of scrimmage and keeping Foles clean will make a big difference for the Eagles in this contest. On the flip-side, the Eagles moved on from Vinny Curry and Beau Allen this offseason but upgraded both spots with veterans Michael Bennett and Haloti Ngata. Both players serve as strong run defenders with greater potential as pass rushers than their predecessors. Chris Long, Brandon Graham, Fletcher Cox, and Derek Barnett all return to form the deepest and most disruptive defensive line in football. While the Falcons possess quality tackles, the amount of bodies the Eagles can throw at opposing offensive lines can be game changing. Alex Mack is an All-Pro Center but is surrounded by some question marks at guard. While the Eagles certainly lack some proven depth along the interior defensive line in the absence of Timmy Jernigan, there are still plenty of high quality rushers for the Falcons to contend with. Without Nigel Bradham and Jordan Hicks returning from IR, the defensive line needs to establish dominance for the Eagles to control this game.
