Call of Duty: Mobile - April 17th Community Update

Call of Duty: Mobile - April 17th Community Update
Greetings Call of Duty: Mobile Community, while we have plenty going on this week in the game and a lot of exciting content on the horizon, we just want to slow down a bit, step back, and focus more on some bugs & issues that we mentioned last week that have been tough to diagnose.
First up though, let’s take a quick moment just to share some information about the public test build for anyone who is still interested in joining in on that but have not been able to access it yet. Just remember, it is first come first server and it will only be open for a short while longer.
Public Test Build We were going to share information here about how to join the public test server, but people wanted in quickly this time around and we’ve already filled up our 20,000 slots. Apologies to anyone else who was still trying to join in on that test.
However, we’ve seen some general questions about this so just to reiterate some of the information we shared previously: we know some people are still asking what is a Public Test Build? The easiest way to describe it is as a “beta” version of the next update that you can download, test out, and see the majority of the features coming out in the next update.
Due to it being a test/beta build there may be incorrect information, like many people learned in relation to esports last time, outdated or incomplete features, or plenty of bugs. We use it primarily as a way to collect bugs and feedback on certain aspects of the update that we may be able to fix or change before the release.
If you see new “leaks” coming out they are undoubtedly related to this public test build since it features some of the following from the next in-game update:
  • Mode: Kill Confirmed
  • Mode: Capture The Flag
  • Mode: 1vs1 mode
  • Map: Rust
  • Map: Saloon
  • New Event UI
  • New Operator Skill
  • Various Battle Royale map updates
Thank you to everyone who is taking the time to assist us with this test and please make sure to take the in-game survey some time before the test ends. Those are the primary way we collect feedback on the build. Lastly, we may have a second round of the test, so keep an eye out for that.
Upcoming & Ongoing Events Here is the full look at most events currently running or coming soon in COD Mobile:
  • 3/26 - 4/28 ~ Daily Missions Exchange Center
    • This long running event provides many opportunities to grab the brand new HVK-30
  • 4/16 - 4/22 ~ MP Snipers Only Mode
  • 4/16 - 4/28 ~ Tenacity Rewarded Event
  • 4/17 ~ Credit Store Update
  • 4/17 - 4/23 ~ Free For All mode
  • 4/17 – 4/24 ~ Clan Ally Event
    • Join a clan, play with a clan, and acquire some new swag
  • 4/17 - 4/28 ~ Weekly Challenges
  • 4/23 - 4/30 ~ Gun Game Team Fight Mode and Challenge
*All Dates UTC
Tenacity Rewarded Event If you’ve ever wanted some more epic weapons in your life then Tenacity Rewarded is for you. For this event it doesn’t matter if you are primarily a Battle Royale or Multiplayer player, we have you covered and have tasks challenging you to complete feats in both modes.
Complete enough tasks and you’ll first earn the S36 – Reticulated, followed by the rare and often complimented Type 25 – Evil Chip, and if you complete enough you can earn the epic AK-47 – Jade.
Gun Game Team Fight Coming up early next week is our team-based version of Gun Fight! Team up with some friends and fight your way with through a variety of weapons in an attempt to climb the ranks faster than the opposing team.
Don’t forget to check in on the related challenge as well to make sure you are grabbing some rewards just for trying out the new mode. We’ll be on the lookout for feedback on about this new variation to the long-standing classic Gun Game mode.
Credit Store Update Yesterday we released yet another credit store update and this time around we are mixing it up by bringing in weapons, a character, and a scorestreak. On top of that, from recent updates we still have two relatively epics available as well. However, we have released the following in this update:
  • Assault Rifle: M4 – Cubic Illusion (Rare)
  • Character: Special Ops 3 – Arctic (Uncommon)
  • Scorestreak: XS1 Goliath (Rare)
  • SMG: PDW-57 – Easter`20 (Uncommon)
  • LMG: RPD – Fashion Purple (Uncommon)
  • SMG: HG 40 - Reticulated (Uncommon)
Free For All We wanted to a quick moment to address some inquiries about Free For All being removed as a permanent mode. Basically, we have some new modes coming in and we generally always want to test out the performance of new modes while giving everything an equal shot as becoming a permanent mode, like we did with Hardpoint.
However, Free For All for a while now was no longer being utilized enough to keep it as a permanent core mode so we’ve cycled it back in with the limited time modes. If you are truly passionate about it becoming a permanent core mode again then just make sure to play it as much as you can once it returns on April 17th.

Functional Weapons Since our April release, we have seen consistent inquiries about releasing more functional weapons into the wild and specifically in regard to some of the more recently released weapons. As you may know, in March we released a functional version of assault rifle the KN-44 through the Heavy Shot event and this month we released newest SMG, the GKS, in Steel Legion Battle Pass.
We also have the long daily missions - exchange center, which is lasting just over a month, and through that event you can grab the new base version of the HVK-30. Just another way we are trying to provide more opportunities to grab base versions of weapons for free.
We haven’t forgotten about those older weapons though and we are planning out a variety of options right now to release a functional version of all of those weapons, like the Locus, HBRa3, Man O War, Pharos, and several others. There is no news on specifics just yet, but hopefully throughout May you’ll start to see some ways to acquire those and see more events like Heavy Shot tied to them.
Bans & Enforcement Just to reiterate this information from last week, but we are still striking hard against any cheaters in the game and always on the look-out for reports from the community or through social media. Over the last couple of weeks, we’ve sent up a variety of reports and all of them have resulted in enforcement. We don’t want cheaters in our game, and we don’t want them ruining your experience, manipulating our systems, and destroying the balance of the game. If we see cheating we will enforce on it with our CODM Security & Enforcement Policy in mind.
If you are reporting someone directly to us through social media please make sure to grab their UID, not just their username (which can be changed). We’ve added more and more ways to quickly grab player info, like their UID, for direct reports and just to go over that again here is the best way to grab that info:
  1. Under your profile go to the last tab (Player History)
  2. Find the match in question, click on the arrow on the right-hand side, and pull up the player list
  3. Find the suspected player’s name and copy it (names are case sensitive)
  4. Go to Friends, Add Friends, and search for the player
  5. Find their profile there and click on their profile picture or name to see the full profile
  6. Copy the UID manually, or with the quick copy tool, from that profile
  7. Send it on over to us via a PM and let us know if you have any screenshots, clips, or information to back up that report
However, we also have new tools in-game to help you know when your in-game report results in enforcement, as we highlighted last week in the community update.
Lastly, one final note if you have been banned and are looking for an appeal we are happy to do so manually. Just reach out via PM or ping us on any channel. We have had a few players get theirs ban reversed recently through this method and while our teams are looking for an option to do this in-game we are happy to manually send these up for review.

Bug Reports

We’ve been hard at work looking into a variety of bugs that have been reported recently, like an issue with freezing in place, latency issues after the update, or various smaller bugs related to events, modes, or new content that has released. However, the biggest issue we are still struggling to learn about, and fix is the black screen crashes the occur for some people in BR, some people in MP, and seemingly at random on a variety of different devices.
We want to focus this section entirely on that today and to try to gather as much information about that as we can. That way we can consolidate your reports and see a better general of volume of how many players are running into this issue.
For you folks here on Reddit that are experiencing this issue we have a dedicated comment section below stickied, so please reply there and let us know the following information:
  • How does the bug occur?
    • Frequency (every match, one in five matches, completely random, etc.)
  • Modes (only in MP, only in BR, or in all modes)
  • Potential triggers (does it always occur after you do X action or anything specific)
  • Device and Version Number
  • UID or Username
If there are any additional details you have about how that issue is occurring for you please feel free to leave them, but also make sure to cover those basic topics. Thank you in advance to everyone who to takes the time to do this.
We know it is frustrating bug, but we’ll keep working on finding ways to combat it and improve the experience for those of you who are encountering it.
Where To Find Support If you need any assistance in general, whether it is reporting a bug, running into issues purchasing something, you are experiencing stability issues, or anything related then please contact our Player Support channels through the in-game option or through the Activision Support website: Contact Us
One of the most commonly ignored, but incredibly useful items, in any Call of Duty title is the smoke grenade. It can save you from snipers, allow you to sneak into an objective, confuse your opponents, and be utilized in so many different ways.
Reddit user u/cdog77777blue made a video to just show off some ways to use smoke grenades on Crash and it is the perfect example of a community driven tips & tricks. Their intent is just to share this knowledge with others and people who create content, share information, and help other players.
That’s something worth highlight any time, especially when their discussion reaches thousands of players and creates a discussion that is up to 150 comments. Thanks for the thread cdog and for doing justice to the poor and neglected smoke grenade. Check out that post here:
We’ll be back next week and it will be alarmingly close to our next update. It may be hard to not just share all of the details then, but you can bet that we’ll have a specific post with all of the information and patch notes as soon as that update releases.
See you all then and see you on Rust in the near future 😉

Psycho Betting and Stats 301-Degenalytics Question

Before you even start watching this for entertainment and see if you get offended by this un-P.C. content. Don't be a pussy.
If you can't handle it, leave this thread. If you can, then you may proceed to the next level.
I've been scatter-brained, ire-filled, soul-searching and lost after a 7-day Degen Marathon that brought a shit load of misfortunes. I used to hate social media, but I've learned how to wield the soc. med. sword like a fucking Degen Jedi. I'm going to promote an honest cause where I seek to be victorious in the end. Just you watch you fucking doubters, haters, blockers, scammers. How much grit and intellect would the average fucking person have to endure what I've gone through in the last fucking 48 hours and still come out alive with a sense of greater purpose?
Had about $400 to $500 in righteously earned bonus dollars earned through impossible grinding degen mission that came pretty close to accomplishing (91%).
I would have had some imaginary >$600 BR by now, but instead the roll-over deadline caused the entire deposit to be forfeited and I manage to salvage some $100.
Due to a bonus rollover scheme, 80U of my balance was stuck in bonuses and if I fail to accomplish the roll-over by the deadline, it all gets forfeited.
With a $500-$600 balance, I could have somewhere at $900-1000 by now after a 20-2 W-L record on European football on Wednesday.
How did I get that record yesterday, by sampling a bunch of solid pre-game picks and live betting using my own fucking brain. I consult with the finest in capping. With $10-$20 bet sizes, That would have put me up maybe $15x16 = +$240 at minimum. $1000 was the imaginary bank roll. As of today, betting with $1 units, after Monday-Wednesday's successful run, while Tuesday was a -$50 blip, I converted $100 to about close to $200 (40U).
🤪🤑Psycho Betting🤑🤪:
I learned the art of psycho betting. Taking some well-advised 10U and 30U psycho bets that put my bankroll up a significant amounts, but a big loss does the opposite. Yesterday I manage to hit 4 grand 30U slams in a row, however many on juiced lines, so each $30 bet one returns about $15-20. Thus my bankroll grew nearly +100 units and sits close to $200 from the initial $100 I manage to salvage after that bonus robbery.
If you want to fucking learn the art of Psycho-Betting to the extremest and be successful at it, fucking put in $100 in Bovada (remember to use money that you can afford to lose) and get that fucking bonus for the purpose of looting the bookies in a successful vengeance scheme. This guy is a fucking Artillery:
Fucking hit more than 4x30U grand slams yesterday and some 10-20U cherries on top. I tailed his free picks and other through consultation [Haha fucking reddit/sportsbook will probably ban me for promoting another tout, :)].Of course with my $1.5U size on a crippled bank roll, I cannot grow it to as much as I wanted to using GoTime's techniques. I would have been at another +$400 if I had $6 units. It's a high risk and high reward system, but if you are confident with your picks you go big on it. If you lose it, then you grind back with smaller 10U and 20U bets to try to get back to part to be able to do another 30U bet. The goal is to be like 2-1, 3-0 on 30U grand slams a day. There is some level of sustainability and back up plans to execute in case the 30U bet did not work out. It is very improbable for you to lose 10 in a row on well researched picks that the experts in the community have common agreement on. A lot of the times, the lines shift to reward you less for the pick since big money is already on the pick.
Use the chart on:
Here is a Nice Calculation to do:
📚📑💻Stats 301 Question in Degenalytics💻📑📚**:**
Lastly I asked anyone in the past few days to do a Stats 301 question with Degenalytics Context: To fucking determine the probability that an avg Joe with a $100+100 Bonus Bank-roll or $500 + 250B bank roll can actually pull off the $3000/$7500 grind in some number of N months betting with supposedly 2 full months of real sports (N-2) getting Obliterated by COVID-19. I want you to give me an analytical calculation or a simulation of your work and give me all the possible scenarios.
Then give the final verdict of if that number converges to 0.000% or 100.00% that the average Joe would succeed his false-hope mission for a successful rollover.
In other words think of it like this: If the average joe bets his entire bank roll 12 or more times (roll-over is not x10 because of bookie juice), what is the probability that he will still end up in the green? Also assign a tilt probability factor that the Average Joe would go on some emotional tilt spree to end up bust again? And make it even harder by eliminating 2-3 full months of real sports (N-2.5) and having to bet on Bovada's limited shitty ass lines and shitty live odds.
If you fucking want to eliminate the -2.5 months, then allow the average joe the freedom to bet on N months of e-sports [hahah] and see where that goes.
I had a bad experience betting on e-sports for 2 months and only end up -15-20U. I'm not saying that I lost because I suck at e-sports betting or I tailed the wrong people. The Bovada lines are super shitty and limited. Most of the time, on live esports, all you see are dashed out lines as if they fucking know what the rigged result is and prevent people from doing hedge bets or try to bet opposite spreads when they are winning to guarantee an insurance 1-1 with minimal damage incurred to their bank-roll. The live betting experience on e-sports on the Bovada platform is so bad that you are guaranteed to lose in the long run. Fucking hell Bodog/Bovada even offered me a $250 deposit on 100% bonus after the Rudy Gobert day in Mid March. They advertised the joys and wonders of getting rich betting off esports.
I was so tempted to deposit, however I kind of over-slept and missed out on the dead-line so they closed the bonus offer. Pretty good relief that I did not fuck-up my real credit card and bank account by falling for that scam again. It was an accidental Grace of God moment to fucking avoid that E-sports deposit marketing scam.
BONUS Questions:
A: Calculate the number of months needed and number of successful bets required for the conservative degen 1u bettor to grind out the roll-over playing
$2.00 tug of war with the bookie.
B: Calculate the odds that a professional capper who knows how to adjust unit sizes (1u-5u), do parlays once a while, will succeed the roll-over in some
N-2.5 months or add some e-sports to have fun to keep the N factor.
C.1: Calculate the conditional probabilities for the bettor succeeding in the mission if on the first few days of betting:
i) He loses bet 1 for about $20.
ii) Wins bet 1 for about $20 to earn $17.5.
iii) Goes on a 3 game losing streak
iv) 5 game losing streak
v) Positivity case: The guy got lucky and nearly doubled his bank roll on a decent run from day. Up +100U or $200. [I'm sure that out of bad discipline the average Joe would still go -200U in the long run with a pretty high probability.]
C.2: Determine the mathematical scheme on how the Bookies can use your first few losses to eventually put you in a 60+:40- (Greater than 60% locked in bonus, less than 40% of your deposited money). Bonus:Locked funds ratio.
The Jinx-King answer: It converges to zero [hahaha], but I really am interested in know what other scenarios math and stats people have come up. And your mathematical approaches and formulae used to generate possible scenarios and probabilities. But I think it is safe to say that for the average Joe,the answer is 0.00% success rate. Bodog/Bovada knows this exactly and refuses to put a hiatus on the roll-over deadline. Instead they keep it going so that people can try to wager on e-sports and lose their entire bank roll. They are only interested it getting 100% of your locked funds so that they can buy expensive cruises, yachts, beach mansions, resort packages, etc in Aruba or some other tropical place. Where you got millions of desperate Americans, Canadians in struggling economies with lost jobs and zero positive cash-flow. About 10% or so or perhaps even more deposit money into off-shore gambling websites hoping they can roll-over their bank-roll some ridiculous number of times and make a few bucks to put food on the table.
In fact, it makes matters worst being jobless, having zero cash flow and having locked funds in scamming bookies. If you are not good at casino or sports-betting games, you would have:
A: Lose your entire deposit for failing to grind it out properly.
B: Not grind it out on time on whatever dead-line the roll-over was.
C: Even if you did successfully grind that shit out using conservative 1u betting and play $2 tug of war with the bookie, you will end up just wasting your time grinding it out for hours and hours on end. It would have been better for you to fucking find a job at some farm helping out with harvesting crops or work in meat plants so that food does not go to waste. I bet you I can make more money than your $2 tug of war in one a day picking off cans and bottles off the streets in some exercise walking/running/biking + collection routine then selling it to the recycling center for $0.05-0.25 a unit. Trust me at my university, I spot maybe about 50-200 empty/partially driven cans and bottles left on desks, lecture halls, the floor, libraries, work areas, etc. Supposed that I harvested that shit, I would be making $5-$20 a day collecting it all and going to the recycling center once every week.
The fucking company knows this COVID-19 closure shit and want to use it to their advantage to continue to rob millions of their customers. Last week, I tried to call customer service, chat help, email, etc. and management has spoken to plead my case to delay the roll-over dead-line in a pro-rated time frame so that customers with locked balances can resume betting with their full balance when Game 1 of any Major League Sport actually returns. They give me the same bull-shit over and over saying they decline my request. For what reason?
  1. The terms and conditions written in fine print for accepting the bonus conversion challenge. "Rules are Rules."
  2. They were aware my deadline of June 22 at 19:23 ET was approaching soon. They knew I was on a mission to salvage my bank roll before they yank out the 60-75U trapped in bonus balances (i.e. Ghost money). By the end of it, I realize I made a foolish mistake. Most of my wins were just from bonus money and I was rewarded $0.00 on righteous wins on expired bonuses.
Therefore Bonus money only earns bonus money which put my entire bank-roll in a 80:20 ratio where the bookies control 80U in ghost money. By the end of the roll-over deadline, they get to yank out 80U of my balance at the deadline and left me with about $100 (20U) bank roll to regrind.
  1. They knew I was winning consistently making solid picks.
During my 110 hour marathon over the brutal grind of losing more than 70 hours of work, leisure and recreation; 35 hours of sleep; to a fucking impossible grind of trying to roll over some 60% of $7500 on sports I have little knowledge of capping (i.e. E-sports, Table Tennis, European football) after a few days of studying the game, I was picking up my stride to grind it to 91%. They fucking knew that if I had another day to grind, they would be coughing up +$600-800 of withdrawable balance to my account.
I am a Fucking PHD Candidate (2-6 months from graduating and not having to pay another round of BS tuition) who does a shitload of mathematics, statistics, simulations, mathematical physics, wrote scientific papers. I've won T.A. Awards, Government/Provincial/Institutional level scholarships, Conference presentations, with even Undergrad honors back in the day. DM me if you need a fucking CV to prove my fucking credentials.
Why am I able to write a lot of shit? Because my fucking brain operates on some max level Intel Xeon chip on overclock mode and I cannot do much to shut it down other than going to sleep. They only way is to write articles that I think might benefit the community.
I have a crazy interest in sports and Degen'ing. I love to fucking put action on sports games, be proud about making the correct calls on the outcome of games before it happens, and then boast to my circle of competitive friends about who's the fucking Boss. As tabboo as society think us degens are, I think this absolute BS. There is a pure enjoyment in watching sports and having action on it. It is nice to get paid beer money to cover a round for your buddies, or earn that rent money over a successful night of betting on shit you actually enjoy watching. Fuck I rather make $300 for one evening of enjoying sports rather than working a 9-5 dull job to try to afford rent/mortgage. If I can fucking pay off all my monthly expenses in 3 fucking successful nights of 3 hr sessions of sports matches, that would be ideal. I would take the lather over a 9-5 rat-race grind.
Overall I am "PRO" in the debate for local single sports betting bookies to be established in Canada. Get these fucking scamming off-shore books like bodog/Bovada who contribute only contribute "Bagel" to the Canadian Economy, but instead make it worst by scamming the masses of hard working or desperate people to leak out some sum of billions of dollars of national GDP. Probably the same applies to all American States, that people should not have to cough up their hard earned $$$$ to off-shore scamming bookies. I shall write an article about this later to justify my arguments later.
Ultimately I my goal is to obliterate or negate the influence of all the cons, scamming bookies, and false touts out there who are just interested in stealing people's $$$. To write out full studies on exposing their schemes in an objective lens.
Calling me out: (Think I cannot track these pussy downvotes? I know you cowards 😂😜😎)
If you think I'm full of BS, then send me a personal DM to have a 1v1 argument the same way that Stephen A debates sports with Max Kellerman. You can downvote me or flame me with empty hate talk all you want on public threads. But don't be a fucky pussy by avoiding a debate with me. Trust me, I'm going to win and be the last one to state a real point that you will have no comeback for [haha]. Lastly, if you are open to discuss or debate with me about some issues, do some resarch/exploration, betting strategies, etc., I would love your collaboration in some projects I got going on.
Ultimately, I should help every honest worker strive towards Degen success or if not, just to purely enjoy putting action on sports games. If you are too full of yourself, then you are on your own, I bid thee adieu, and wish you all the best. However you will be absolutely declined to all services and counsel I work to provide to friends for free.

Turns out many people cannot withdraw anything out of Bovada/bodog due to some website glitches. Will try to recover a bankroll to attempt a withdrawal, however I am likely to have the same issues too. They will make some lame excuse to not give me a cheque. Definitely no point of pursuing anything in bovada/bodog if they refuse to give you withdrawables. The goal is to get their website off outta here. As well as get them out of advertisements. They definitely pulled off some "Get the fucking money and run scheme" and you will likely not see your money again. GG

My 5 Lessons from 2 Failed Startups (attempt to post No. 2)

Yesterday I made a post here, and even though the comments and reception were overwhelmingly positive, the mods decided to remove it. I tried to get in touch to ask why and didn't get a reply, but I assume it's because I linked to my Medium blog post.
So, because I don't care about the Medium traffic that much and because my main goal was to share my personal experience with likeminded people, I'll post again today with the whole gargantuan text copied here.
(I'll still give the original link at the very bottom because the sub doesn't allow pics in the text post, and I specifically made comic strips to make the post easier to read and hopefully funnier (and there are a couple of screenshots). Feel free to ignore it.)

5 Lessons from 2 Failed Startups

7years ago, on my last year in university, I unwittingly embarked on a startup journey. Here are the five most important lessons that I picked up the hard way.
(comic 1)
The main reason I wrote this piece is so that I don’t repeat the mistakes I list below, but I’m publishing it in hopes that my experience will have a positive externality — that someone out there will internalize these lessons without paying the cost of money, time, and tears.
FIRST STARTUP What it was: the first premium educational platform for a popular competitive video game (Dota 2); My role: main content guy — I wrote most of the content and worked directly with our influencer partners, but with time got more and more involved; Timeline: created platform and developed content; launched successfully and found decent traction; slowly faded into obscurity due to lack of sufficient funding;

LESSON 1: Be prepared for different levels of success

Naturally, when we started the project we had great expectations for its future financial performance. We also kept in mind that it could crash and burn, as we knew most innovative products fail.
The two options in our heads were either:
  1. great success — the business supports itself just fine and grows
  2. or total failure — we close down and search for “real” jobs.
What we failed to anticipate is the vast land in between those two extremes. That’s where we ended up. When we launched we started making enough money to indicate we are onto something, but not enough to fully support and grow the business.
(comic 2)
When you hear something along the line of “90% of startups fail”, you imagine that 10% of startups hit the jackpot while the other 90% lose their money and close their doors instantly. However, this statement lacks a time dimension and a grayscale between the whiteness of success and the blackness of failure. It could be useful to investors, but it is misleading if you are a founder.
I’m sure some startups lose their money very fast and are left with no choice but to close operations. Yet, I’d wager a big chunk of the unsuccessful 90% spend a long time trying to navigate mixed signals from the market. The problem is that in such conditions decision-making is not straightforward. Are you wasting your time, or are you on the brink of something worthwhile? Not an easy call to make.
When faced with such decisions, pessimists quit too early, while optimists tend to believe success is just behind the corner perpetually. Both mindsets are wrong.
If you quit too early, you are cutting short the chances that you’ll hit a lucky breakthrough.
But if you fight for too long, it could get you stuck in a terrible limbo people in the startup community call “the land of the living dead”. You make ends meet, barely, but in reality, you are just wasting your time, potential, and testing the patience of all the people with a stake in your success or failure (people in both your personal and professional life). A business is, generally speaking, not a worthy cause for martyrdom.
In our case, we ended up in the second option. We had over-promised so our investors and business partners were unhappy with the performance, yet we were not ready to give up yet because we still saw a lot of potential.
At the same time, without the full support of the inventors and partners, we had no chances to succeed. We spend over a year in this state. You need to be realistic about these things, and in startups, the business of selling dreams, this is harder than it sounds.
Plan for success, plan for failure, plan for everything in between.
Retrospectively, what we had was a successful proof of concept which required further funding to grow and become a real business. Our failure to anticipate this outcome meant that neither we nor our partners or investors were prepared, which spelled the slow and agonizing death of the project.
If you’re a founder, you need to be granular in defining success and failure. You need to have a timeline everyone agrees upon (not only the founders but all stakeholders) and a definition of different levels of success so that nobody quits too early or leads a lost war for too long.
For example: Great outcome: X months after launch, we’re making enough money to support the business. We agree to reinvest and grow it slowly to avoid dilution (lifestyle business route) or to fundraise to grow fast and search for an exit (startup route). Good outcome: X months after launch, we’re making money, but not enough to support the business. This is expected — proof of concept. We’re in the process of fundraising. If we succeed to fundraise until month Y (money runs out) — great. If not — we close the business. Bad outcome: X months after launch we’re making very little (if any) money. We pivot if we still have resources, if not — we close the business.

LESSON 2: Find a mentor

The three main components people talk about when evaluating startups are usually the team, the product, and the market.
It’s hard to argue if any of the three is more important than the others. Usually, you need all three to be good enough to reach success.
In our case, we were lucky enough to have a favorable market — demand for what we were offering and lack of any real competition.
The product was so-so: it could have been much, much better considering our lack of experience & resources, but it was good enough to attract the early adopters and with time it could have evolved.
The team, however, had 0 experience.
We did this straight out of university (I worked on the project part-time until I finished my masters). The founder was the technical guy and he was a junior developer at best. I was the content marketing guy and even though I had some marketing courses in uni (which mostly focus on traditional, big businesses), I had 0 real-world experience.
Our lack of technical/marketing experience proved not to be fatal — we were learning on the go and managed to push out a working product and to reach our customers. We had vision, passion, some domain knowledge, and the willingness to work hard.
What was fatal, however, was that we had 0 experience running a business. Honestly, we had close to no knowledge about startups and what to expect of these kinds of projects. Doing the actual work takes thousands of hours, and the minutes spent making a bad decision can easily invalidate all your efforts.
If present-day-me could advise and mentor this startup, I’m certain it would have become a successful business.
(comic 3)
If you are a young entrepreneur, you need a mentor. An official one, with a small share in the business in order to have skin in the game. Ideally — an entrepreneur who has some startup experience behind his back or at least someone who has been deeply involved in such businesses. Turn to your local startup community and it won’t be that hard finding someone interested: after all, most people like giving advice as well as getting free shares in companies.
[If you don’t have an official mentor, at least make sure you’re getting mentorship from other places intimately familiar with your business (investors, startup groups or communities, etc.).]
Embarking on your first startup journey without a mentor is like trying to become an MBA star without ever having a basketball coach. Unless you are incredibly lucky, you will simply fail. You’ll make fatal mistakes like the one above (and many more I can list, but it would take forever). Frankly, even nowadays, being much more experienced, I doubt I’ll ever work on anything innovative without a mentor.
SECOND STARTUP What it is was: a monetization platform for video game influencers and content creators in the same niche My role in it: founder Timeline: fundraised (a bit more ambitiously this time, $90k); created platform and developed content; launched and found 0 traction; turned the website into a profitable gaming blog for a year; tried to pivot in the meantime, unsuccessfully;

LESSON 3: Market expertise doesn’t trump startup common sense

As you’ve probably noticed, startup one and startup two are connected. What happened is that the founder of startup one finally had enough and bailed. I still had a chip on my shoulder, however, and managed to convince one of the old investors (and a few new ones) that there is merit in having another go at the market with a new (more ambitious) concept. Naturally, things didn’t turn out as planned.
“Fail fast, fail cheap, and leave yourself time to pivot.”
That’s probably the most frequently repeated startup advice. And probably the most valuable one you can get. The one that you need tattooed on your forehead if you’re a founder.
So, even though I was aware that the biggest startup mistake is to spend all your resources developing something no one needs, I made exactly that mistake. Like many a startup, I burned through 90% of our bank to acquire the validated learning that there’s no demand for the product we’re making.
What led me astray was the belief that I was an expert on this particular market niche and knew intimately its needs.
(comic 4)
The confidence I had, obviously, was false.
What’s true is that the previous startup validated that the market actually exists, which is a good start.
What’s not true is that the previous startup validated in any meaningful way the new product we’re developing. We had a new concept, a new marketing approach, etc. Equally importantly, the market had changed since the first project — competition was starting to pop up, etc. I was probably one of a handful of people on the planet intimately familiar with this small market niche, and yet my ideas weren’t bulletproof anyway.
After we launched and saw 0 traction, I tried to pivot with a new idea based on the market feedback. The problem was that I had to validate it on my own with no budget and no team. I couldn’t do it properly, and I still don’t know to this day if this idea would have worked out if I had more resources to test it.
Looking back, if I had focused on being an expert on running a startup as much as I did on being an expert on the market, things could have turned out quite differently. I could have tested the waters for plan A with 20% of the budget. That would have left me with enough resources to try out at least three more different approaches. We were working from Eastern Europe (Sofia, Bulgaria) and mainly with freelancers, which meant that our burn rate was quite low.
Failing fast and cheap would have made the company four or five times more likely to succeed. I suspect that this number is even higher because the accumulated expertise by smashing your head into the wall (market) repeatedly means that plan B is usually better than plan A, plan C would probably be better than plan B, and so on.
Every startup needs to be lean (test your assumptions with minimal resource investment) and agile (be ready to continually change your concept/priorities base on market feedback). This is simply not negotiable if you want to succeed no matter how much of an expert you believe yourself to be.
“Startups almost never get it right the first time. Much more commonly you launch something, and no one cares. Don’t assume when this happens that you’ve failed. That’s normal for startups. But don’t sit around doing nothing. Iterate.” — Paul Graham

LESSON 4: Don’t regret correct decisions that didn’t turn out your way

After launching and finding 0 traction with almost no money left in the bank the realization where things are headed hit me hard. I wasn’t ready for a second failure just yet, however, so I poured all my efforts into finding a source of income for the business to give us some breathing room.
Content marketing was my biggest strength, so I made a content strategy and started churning out articles. I managed to grow the traffic of the website significantly (reached 240k unique monthly visitors at its peak), and at the same time, I was doing cold outreach to any viable business that might want to advertise with us long-term.
(Google Analytics Screenshot)
I deliberately made some of the content well suited to advertise a certain type of business in our niche. Eventually, I managed to close a deal with such a business, which gave us just enough income to keep our head above water.
During this time, an unexpected opportunity presented itself. A new game closely related to the one I was writing about pupped up and started gaining popularity (Auto Chess, which later turned into Dota Underlords). I was in a great situation to start writing about it and to turn our website into the main authority site on the subject, and slowly but surely I managed to rank our website in the first place in Google SERPs for most relevant keywords.
(SERP screenshot)
The hope was that the game was going to continue to grow (and our traffic along with it). This, in turn, would allow me to land bigger advertising contracts, giving me the needed funds to bootstrap a team and continue the validation experiments related to this new market and our newly acquired audience (I was trying to get the business into a positive feedback loop).
Then this happened:
(steam charts screenshot, player base falls)
Dota Underlords (the game we attached ourselves to, our market) fell from over 200k to about 10k concurrent players. Naturally, as I had invested most of my time into Dota Underlords content, our traffic started falling as well, which invalidated the authority site plans and made new advertising sales much, much harder.
You could argue I should have diversified our content to avoid this situation, but the reality is that you have limited resources and you need to plan how to use them. The business was created as a startup, it had investors, which by definition demands at least some level of ambition. Surviving as a niche gaming blog wasn’t going to cut it for the people involved, so I decided to go all-in on the opportunity I saw.
It didn’t work out, but that’s OK. As mentioned, most startups fail. Sometimes they fail because of avoidable mistakes (as demonstrated above), but sometimes they fail because the educated bets they make don’t work out.
Making educated but risky bets is what startups do, so don’t regret the second kind of failure when the risk is anticipated.

LESSON 5: Accept full responsibility

(comic 5, this one's not that funny :( )
It’s quite easy to blame the circumstances when you’re looking back at past failures. It’s a great way to protect your ego. Going back to my own journey as an example:
I could go on, we’re all masters at making excuses. However, this is a fool’s game. Analyzing your past circumstances is important, but only in the light of taking valuable lessons into the future. An excuse means you learned nothing from an important event.
All of the above seems like it’s something I don’t have control over, but I’d argue that’s not true.
Past failures are a blessing — put them on your shoulders and they will make you stronger.
Future failures are the ones you want to avoid, and your past failures are the best tool for the job.

Cineplex (TSX: $CGX)
Another great medium risk but high potential return stock. The stock has taken a beating because of Covid19 & movie theater closures.
Investors think Cineworld's C$34/share buyout offer will be cancelled, yet Reuter's reported, "Cineworld Says No Change In Co's Position On Cineplex Takeover Since March" on April 7. That's double your money at C$11.69 (at post) if it goes through.
Investors also think Cineplex will cancel their monthly $0.15 per share dividend in their next ER that they delayed until June 29, 2020.
Investors are discounting Cineplex's possible rise of online movie rentals to offset their onsite losses.
The odds don't get better than this but do your Due Diligence before investing.
The Motley Fool described Cineplex as having a "virtual monopoly" over the cinema market in Canada.

2019-present: Proposed acquisition by Cineworld
On December 16, 2019, Cineplex announced a definitive agreement to be acquired by the British cinema operator Cineworld Group, the second-largest film exhibitor worldwide, pending shareholder and regulatory approval. Cineworld would be paying $34 per-share—a 42% premium over Cineplex's share price prior to the announcement, valuing the company at CDN$2.8 billion. Cineworld planned to pay US$1.65 billion, and to fund the remainder by taking on debt.
The sale was approved by Cineplex shareholders in February 2020. Activist shareholder Bluebell Capital Partners called for the Canadian government to block the sale, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. which in turn led to the temporary closure(s) of all Cineplex movie theatres across Canada since March 16, 2020, and up until further notice.

Newzoo: Global esports will top $1 billion in 2020, with China as the top market (Feb 25, 2020):
Global esports revenues will surpass $1 billion in 2020 for the first time — without counting broadcasting platform revenues, according to market researcher Newzoo.
Globally, the total esports audience will grow to 495.0 million people in 2020, Newzoo said. Esports Enthusiasts (people who watch more than once a month) make up 222.9 million of this number.
In 2020, $822.4 million in revenues—or three-quarters of the total market—will come from media rights and sponsorship.
“As the esports market matures, new monetization methods will be implemented and improved upon,” said Remer Rietkerk, head of esports at Newzoo, in the report. “Likewise, the number of local events, leagues, and media rights deals will increase; therefore, we anticipate the average revenue per fan to grow to $5.27 by 2023.”
On September 13, 2018, Cineplex announced that it would acquire a stake in VRStudios—a Seattle-based provider of virtual reality installations, and utilize its equipment for as many as 40 VR centers across the country.
Playdium is a family entertainment centre chain owned by Cineplex Entertainment through its subsidiary Player One Amusement Group. The flagship location in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada launched as Sega City @ Playdium near Square One Shopping Centre on September 7, 1996. The 11 acres (480,000 sq ft) centre cost CA$17 million to build and included an arcade, batting cages, go-karts and mini-golf. A partnership with Sega GameWorks, it featured many arcade games from that company such as Daytona USA, and eight-player racing setups for Indy 500 (as Virtua Indy) and Manx TT Super Bike. Indy 500 remains available today. In 1999, the centre was renamed to Playdium. The company opened up two more locations in Brampton and Whitby in late 2019.
The Rec Room
The Rec Room is a Canadian chain of entertainment restaurants owned by Cineplex Entertainment. First opening in Edmonton in 2016, its locations feature entertainment and recreational attractions such as an arcade, driving simulators, recreational games, and virtual reality, as well as restaurants and bars, and an auditorium with a cinema-style screen, which can be used for concerts and other live events.
The Toronto location features The Void virtual reality attraction. In July 2018, Cineplex announced that it would become the exclusive Canadian franchisee of The Void and add additional locations (such as the Mississauga and West Edmonton Mall locations).
SCENE (loyalty program)
SCENE is a Canadian loyalty program established in 2007 by Cineplex Entertainment and Scotiabank.
The main reward is a free movie ticket, starting at 1,250 points for a regular or 3D ticket. Over the years, the program has expanded to include a greater variety of rewards, including restaurants and sporting goods.
Cineplex has an Outtakes (French: Restoplex) restaurant in 94 theatres, some which replace previous restaurant partners (Burger King, KFC and New York Fries) and others which introduce restaurants at locations which did not previously feature one. VIP Cinemas and some Xscape locations feature a licensed lounge with more premium offerings compared to Outtakes. Poptopia is a flavoured popcorn restaurant offered in a full-service format at 22 locations. Other Cineplex theatres may feature Poptopia at the concession stand, but only in the caramel corn and/or kettle corn flavours.
Ice cream at Cineplex locations debuted with Baskin-Robbins and TCBY. Beginning in December 2007, Yogen Früz became the preferred partner. On January 1, 2014, Cineplex acquired a 50% stake in Yoyo's Yogurt Café. As of January 2017, 77 Cineplex theatres feature Yoyo's restaurants, while Yogen Fruz is still available in 23 Cineplex theatres while TCBY is available in 16 locations. Cineplex also manages Melt Sweet Creations, an in-house dessert bouqtiue brand targeted at women ages 19-35 debuted in December 2017 at Cineplex Cinemas Queensway and VIP. Melt is available at 13 locations.
Beverages are available in both cold and hot formats. Cold beverages include the Coca-Cola lineup, which replaced the Pepsi lineup used at locations formerly owned by Famous Players. 12 locations feature Coca-Cola Freestyle. Hot beverages include Starbucks as the incumbent provider with 105 locations, all which offer Pike Place Roast coffee (regular or decaf) and Tazo tea. Select locations also offer premium drinks such as caffè mocha or caramel macchiato. Tim Hortons is available as a full-service restaurant in five locations,[75] with Brossard being the only location to offer both Tim Hortons and Starbucks.
In most theatres, Cineplex offers sale of alcohol to 19+ guests in Ontario (18+ in Alberta) similar to the VIP theatres albeit from a selection of beer or cider beverages.
If Aurora Cannabis (ACB) & Cineplex (CGX) partnered up to offer CBD & THC infused Cannabis 2.0 edibles in movie theaters, especially the IMAX & 3D ones, it should do very well. Canadian Cannabis Industry stocks should also do well as I posted earlier Cannabis Stocks Opportunity.

Cineworld to buy Canada's largest movie theatre chain in $2.8B deal (Dec 16, 2019):
Cineplex’s stock had been trading close to the Cineworld offer price of C$34 per share through early 2020, but has since plunged 40% following the virus outbreak.
Cineplex could lose a potential lifeline if its outstanding debt exceeds more than $725 million. As of December 31, 2019, the debt level was $625 million. The debt might balloon past the threshold with a further lockdown extension.
Cineplex shares fall after short seller raises concerns about Cineworld deal (March 5, 2020):
Cineworld Dives After Cineplex Activist Urges Rejection of Deal (March 16, 2020):
Cineplex closes locations, provides Cineworld acquisition update (March 17, 2020):
Cineplex Inc. cuts salaries of full-time employees after part-time layoffs (Mar 23, 2020):
P/T employees laid off in Canada & USA. F/T employees take reduced base salaries & senior executive team takes 80% reduction in pay.
Cineworld halts dividend and says will 'monitor progress' of its buyout of Cineplex (April 7, 2020):
Staggered seating, nostalgic films: Cinemark offers a look at movie going post-coronavirus (Apr 15, 2020):
Cinemark, the third-largest movie theater chain in the U.S., hopes to reopen at least some of its doors to the public in July.
With no major movie release until mid-July, theaters could play “library” movies, which are movies that have already previously been released in cinemas, for several weeks.
If social distancing restrictions are still in place the company said it would either sell every other reserved seat in the theater or suspend reservations and just sell 50% of the tickets per theater.
“Even at peak periods of time in a normal environment, our occupancy levels range from 20% to 30% and we can operate profitably during those scenarios...” - CEO Mark Zoradi
He added that Cinemark has seen attendance as low as 10% and still was able to turn a profit.
North Vancouver's Park & Tilford Cineplex permanently closed (May 20, 2020)
The company closed all 165 theatres across Canada in March due to COVID-19, but the 1,382-seat Brookesbank Avenue location won’t be among those reopening, Cineplex has confirmed.
With Cineplex closing its Lower Lonsdale theatre in 2019, it leaves Park Royal as the only place to catch a big screen flick on the North Shore.
“We thank the community for their patronage over the years, and look forward to welcoming them at neighbouring Cineplex Cinemas Park Royal and VIP,” said Sarah Van Lange, executive director of communications. “I’ll note that our intent is to repurpose the Park & Tilford theatre space, which we’ll have more details on at a later date.”

Why Amazon’s Rumored Buyout of AMC Entertainment Makes Sense (May 12, 2020):
If Amazon can buy AMC, they can most certainly by CGX & dominate & control most of North America's movie theaters. Amazon would then control Hollywood! Why stop there, they should buy Cineworld too.
AMC Entertainment Surges 56% on Report of Talks With Amazon (May 11, 2020):
Alert: Cineplex (TSX:CGX) Could Be Acquired by This Incredibly Unlikely Source (May 12, 2020):
Despite Cineworld maintaining its commitment to buy Cineplex, the market has a different opinion. Remember, Cineplex agreed to be acquired at $34 per share. As I type this, the stock trades at $14.44. There’s no way the spread would be that wide, unless investors were writing off the acquisition completely.
Fortunately for beleaguered Cineplex shareholders, a new suitor could very well come along — one virtually nobody sees coming.
Although I think there’s potential for a private equity group or some other deep-pocketed investor taking a run at Cineplex’s cheap assets, there’s a much more interesting suitor on the horizon.
That acquirer is (NASDAQ: AMZN).
AMC says it will no longer play Universal Studios films (Apr 28, 2020):
“AMC believes that with this proposed action to go to the home and theaters simultaneously, Universal is breaking the business model and dealings between our two companies,” AMC Chief Executive Officer Adam Aron said in a letter addressed to Universal Studios Chairman Donna Langley.
Universal added that the company looked forward to having “additional private conversations” with AMC but was “disappointed by this seemingly coordinated attempt ... to confuse our position and our actions.”
Cineworld joins AMC in banning films from Universal Studios (April 29, 2020):
Cineworld, the world’s second largest cinema chain, has followed its rival AMC in banning Universal Studios films from its cinemas when they reopen, after the Hollywood film-maker released Trolls On Tour direct to streaming platforms.
“There is a certain system of windows which are a custom in the market and this sets the time difference between the theatrical market and other ancillary markets, among them streaming. Any movie that will not respect this window will not be shown in Cineworld group,” Mooky Greidinger, Cineworld’s chief executive, said on Wednesday.
Odeon bans all Universal Pictures films as studio skips cinema releases (Apr 29, 2020):
AMC Entertainment Holdings, Inc.
AMC Theatres (originally an abbreviation for American Multi-Cinema; often referred to simply as AMC and known in some countries as AMC Cinemas or AMC Multi-Cinemas) is an American movie theater chain headquartered in Leawood, Kansas, and is the largest movie theater chain in the world. Founded in 1920, AMC has the largest share of the U.S. theater market ahead of Cineworld and Cinemark Theatres.
Cineworld Group PLC
Cineworld is the world’s second largest cinema chain, with 9,518 screens across 790 sites in 11 countries: the UK, the US, Canada, Ireland, Poland, Romania, Israel, Hungary, Czechia, Bulgaria and Slovakia. The group’s primary brands are Regal (in the US), Cineworld and Picturehouse (in the UK & Ireland), Cinema City (throughout Europe) and Yes Planet (in Israel).
And Action! All the Movies We Can't Wait to See in Summer 2020 and Beyond (May 22, 2020):
Fingers crossed that it’ll be safe to step into a theater this summer. If they open, there will be plenty to watch. “Summer hits are the popcorn movies,” says film historian, author and podcast host Leonard Maltin. “They can be the biggest box-office hits of the whole year.”

I'm sick of the congested internet & buffering of online movies & services during Covid19. They need to upgrade the internet infrastructure to 5G & Fiber Optics before it can really grow in my opinion -- especially buffering 4K & 8K movies & future tech that will only require more bandwidth going forward.
Younger people are not afraid of Covid19 like the older crowd. When theaters open, they will rush in to see their favourite movies.
Betting that people won't want to go to movie theaters when they re-open, is like betting the same against live sporting events or music concerts.
No home movie theater can match a real movie theater, even the smaller discount ones, unless you're Bill Gates or Jeff Bezos etc.
With Cineplex's Canadian Monopoly & diversification into other entertainment arenas like eSports & Virtual Reality, as long as they don't go bankrupt & social distancing restrictions are loosened, the stock should increase 2 to 3 times by end of 2021 in my opinion -- especially if the Cineworld Buyout goes as planned or another company like Amazon buys them out for a strong presence & control in Canada.
If a Coronavirus Vaccine is discovered sooner than later, then this stock will rebound accordingly & rapidly -- especially if they don't cancel or even if they do, resume Dividend payments in the future. At current prices, Dividend yield is about 13% per year.
Social distance cinema: drive-in theatres boom – in pictures (May 5, 2020):
We are all social creatures & want to go to movie theater as a social activity, to see & be seen; otherwise, why would Drive In Movie theaters boom during Covid19?
If no one goes out to be seen anymore, then all the Vanity Goods & Services will go under too & we will all dress in sweat pants & T-Shirt -- no need for designer suits & dresses working & staying at home. LOL ;p
Internet Bandwidth Requirements:
Online streaming remains the biggest source of 4K content, led by Netflix and Amazon’s growing selection of original series. But many consumer broadband connections aren’t fast enough to allow reliable 4K streaming.
Home Theater Movie Resolutions:
  • 4K (UHD): 3,840 x 2,160 pixels
  • 1080p (Full HD): 1,920 x 1,080 pixels
  • 720p (HD): 1,280 x 720 pixels
  • 480p (SD): 640 x 480 pixels
  • 8K: 7,680 x 4,320 pixels
For comparison purposes, 70mm film - still considered by many to be the gold standard - is roughly equivalent to a 12K resolution in digital terms, so digital's still got some catching up to do on that score.

[NEXT LEVEL EFFORT POST] Innovative gamemode for Clash Royale - could change the entire future of the game Idea

“DeckChallanger” - Worked on this for two months… Lets go:

Incorporates deckbuilding and poker-ish strategy thinking
But also: ability to bluff, surprise and outsmart your opponent.

Purpose: To enhance the tension before the game, and get at the same time rid of the “rock, paper, scissor”-problem. Either a CR game can look like this: Two players select without any regulations - thus, it is completely random - each one a respective deck. The only tension created, comes from the fact that the two players have no idea what deck they are facing. This often results in unfair matchups, where the winner is already decided from the first 1-2 minutes of the game.
So... if the matchups already are made in a random way:
→ why not make the <> a bigger part of the game...?

This gamemode will make everything more challenging and diverse on a level never ever seen before - and fun at the same time - and not only fun.
But a ridiculous level of fun with new and fresh mechanics, that will never seem to get old and boring.
[I think this gamemode even could awake CR from the dead]
The gamemode is that good.
And guess what? I don't care about the money! I could probably sell this idea, but no. I want to share it with the community. Because I love Clash Royale gameplay, but the peak potential of the game is so far away. This gamemode would take the CR experience from a 2/10 of its possible ”game potential”
So... let's explain this, and stop talking:

- A luck based wheel decides the two decks facing off eachother, a primary and a secondary time
- Before the wheel is spinned, both players has to select one wincon (one circle sector) each, that gets banned from the wheel in their match
- Each sector in the circle is consisting of every win condition (or perhaps another regulation that will challenge the player to build a deck: like ”5.0 or more” or ”2.5 or less” and so on (and for these special ones, the advantage is the the player gets to pick the win condition by himself, but has to compensate that by getting around the challenge of the regulation)
- Then you build your deck from an empty cardslot-interface, from the ground up.
- Every win condition has a group called ”hardcounters”. Since the player knows the opponents win con (in the case of that regulation) - he can pick a hardcounter that fits with his deck - his regulation - but also hard counters the wincon from the opponent
- If a ”neutral” wincon gets selected, like the Pekka or Mega knight, a maximum of 1 ”firsthand” win con can be added
- Also, the miner, skeleton barrel and rocket (I could have forgotten someone) has a special category as ”secondary win conditions”, and can be added to any win condition, but max 1 of them
- All of the other cards can be chosen when building the deck
If matchup is defined as ”advantage to one player” - For example [ballon - ramrider]
—> the player in disadvantage gets to pick two hardcouters, while the one in matchup advantage only get to picks one hard counter for the opposing wincon
Max 2 small spells (not tornado, including royal delivery)
Max 1 big spell (including EQ)
And ofcourse - Max one hardcounter to wincondition (if defined as equal matchup)
When you have built your decks, you lock them in. Then you have to show 1 of your cards to the opponent. You can pick by yourself what card to show the opponent. Here lots of different strategies will develop, for example: bluffs, surprises or to just outsmart your opponent into thinking you have a deck that you may not use, different strategies and of course reversed psychology. Then you get the ability to change two cards in your locked deck, but only two. But the card you show and your wincon, are locked, and cannot be changed.
Then the same thing happens to the other player.
This interchange of cards happens one time, and then a second time - showing your opponent a total of 2 free cards plus your given win con.
(The card you choose to show is automatically locked, and very much like your given win condition, can not be interchanged.)
Then the decks are finished! This adds up to the tension before the game like never before, and creates a whole new level of strategy. Instead of just saying ”of well, this is an unfair matchup. What a shame.”
There is so much potential to be captured here. Really note that.
This maybe even could bring CR back from the dead, and enhance the esport side of the game, but LIKE A SHIT TON. This not only makes the game more developed and skilled in a new way for the pros, but also gives viewers a new level of curiousness and tension as a part of every game, instead of just players picking a meta deck from some of the few viable archetypes in the current meta, and then it is pretty much rock paper scissor to see which one wins, because:
So, ultimately this makes the matchup less ”rock paper scissor”, that is Clash royales biggest problem right now. Players would have to not only need a skill to build good decks, but be prepared for anything, and create strategies for their own new deck, tailored for the opposing deck AT THE LIVE TIME as the game is played
The level of skill in E-sport with this gamemode would be on a whole other new level - that's some good entertainment, let me tell you.

- It creates a challenge for both opponents, that they need to solve with their <>
Skill 1.
+It is up to the players SKILL to first build a deck that counters it in a FAIR way (with all the rules)+
Skill 2.
++And finish the game with even more skill to create real time epic strategies in game, tailored for that specific matchup++
[I can guarantee you that this will create results, like when someone has the advantage in matchmaking defined by their wincon - but still wins a CR game because of the deckbuilding skill and real time strategy combined with quick reaction and precision gameplay.]
—> this would be a new level of CRL entertainment (but also as a Casual/Competitive mode IN the game for normal casual players)
Also, since every wincon will be inte the game, you can't get a weak card. That would not be fair. So ebarbs for example. They are too weak on ladder - well, buff them to the viable point in this particular gamemode. But jezzz. Don't screw it up SC, have a separate feed of this gamemode-balances, and survey how cards are performing. This gamemode needs to have every wincon that is on the wheel, 100% balanced.

*Sidenote* - SCROLL PAST IF NOT INTERESTED, it is not relevant to the gamemode!
(logical preposition for ebarbs when we're at it:)
Motivation: “ ebarbs could be used as a counter pushing card, that's effective on defense, and after; be used in a counter attack. One problem today is their health, they die easily. And, since they are whole 6 elixir today, it is hard to combine other cards with them, to support them while active in game (Like ice golems, ice spirit etc). Therefore, make them 5 elixir (IN ONLY THIS GAMEMODE), but set their crown tower damage to 40 - 60 % of their normal damage - since they need to be able and two-shot ranged support troops like wizards and musks, because it is one of their main interactions (They have a slow hitspeed, but when they do get their shot in, they are effective, and can quickly move on to a different target, like a giant) . This way, if an ebarb gets to you tower, it won't punish you as much, and the ebarbs can easily be killed on offence, since they have such low HP - if the opponent doesn't support them with more elixir”
I´m just using common sense here guys, don't be hard on me. But I think that would make ebards more of a card that has a place in the game, an ideal way to use them effectively, that every card should have a clear definition of: Like most other cards. Right now, ebarbs have too many things that they are good at, and way too many things they suck at. This idealized concept of them, would actually make them quite unique in the game, and add a new nuance to the possible card-choices for counterpunching tank killers. The other problem is also that they are way too rewarding when reaching the tower - but also way too undervalued when used on defence - since they die so easily, and bam: 6 elixir down the drain, and you can't support them with other cards, because of their high cost.
→ Therefore it could be tried to see what happens if they cost 5 elixir, and had reduced crown tower damage. If they are to strong, lower their HP to balance out the question of how hard it should be to kill them
If you are not using this thinking process when balancing cards already SC (cause of your history, lol XD), maybe take some inspiration: because I have a strong belief, in that [Every card in the game has a place, and can get balanced. There are no such things as: “Bad designed cards”, that just a sad excuse] - imo
*Sidenote finished*

This would basically be the peak of CR potential - if we get this gamemode in the game - or at least in CRL... imagine this, instead of 2v2. (If you have lost track, read the paragraph over the sidenote again”)
The purpose of this gamemode is to enhance the player's ability of deckbuilding, incorporated into the gameplay. The player also has to know what cards fit good with exactly every archetype. This gamemode would make for an extremely DIVERSE and always FRESH and SURPRISING gameplay, never seen the likes of in CR history. That's of course depending on the pros innovative skills… and them skills bro… they will most certainly create a good basis for this.
This is the gamemode that I think everyone wants, including the developers of Clash Royale. They have always been nagging about making a gamemode, that is more
  • diverse
  • and has deckbuilding as a bigger part of the game itself
The gamemode would also be extremely, EXTREMELY entertaining to BOTH:
- watch, for example CRL, because we would get to see what cards they are picking, and see their strategy - made under pressure and small timeframes. This would add soooo much content to commentary for the casters. Extremely interesting. Pros have to be wearing soundproof headphones, we also need to check microphone-cheating way more in this case of gamemode - since the audience knows the decks that are facing off - but the players don't. They only know 3 of each others cards
- Or as a gamemode in Clash Royale, live time with random players. Imagine playing this, as a casual gamemode, or as a separate ladder with kingtower level brackets... (*orgasm*)
The ”balance-rules” of this gamemode would be :
- ”what cards are defined as hardcounters to each wincon?”
- ”What matchups are defined as; advantage - to one of the wincons facing each other?”
The cards in each group could be a subject to change, very much like the balance changes each month. It gets better and better the more we get experienced within the gamemode
TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK REDDIT! I can't wait to hear your thoughts. Let's make Drew of Seth hear this. We could be changing the way CR is played

This mode - could be a new "competetive ladder" bracket. SERIOUSLY.
(Like you just read way less than half of the total text:)
Main notes:
- Supercell needs a healthy relationship with their playerbase (They don't really have that now)
- The player should be offered a small piece - a limited, but still fair opportunity- of the beautiful game they are working on - for <>
And theeeen...
- If the players tries it, loves it, and decides - “I WANT MORE, I think the money is worth it” , that's when you as a free-to-play game developer offer the player a less limited offer, for real money - for example a pass royale with mer premium features (Still not changing the game mechanics tho, just progression, but not in pay to win way. In a “Pay to experience less grind”- way) You´ll understand more soon!
That is a healthy way to make money. You as a free to play game developer should give players the <>, and if you make a damn good job - you should automatically get more money, BUT IN A FAIR AND HONORABLE WAY
The system SC today uses in today's ladder, with pay to win walls from the gem-currency:
- That has to be the worst business model to make money on a free to play game.
That's a fact. It doesn't matter how much supercell has made from these games, they could have easily made way more with a more healthy business model.
But... there is hope! Because, with this gamemode, I would stand by the opinion to say:
- Clash Royale would not only be the BEST mobile game ever made
- But perhaps, one of the best games ever made on this planet.
—> but supercell doesn't see it
However - I do.
With my vision for supercell though, if I were in charge: I would incorporate this gamemode, in a <> way with the pass royale each month if they give me this kind of freedom and gameplay opportunities - and a need to grind less.
—> I would pay for that pass royale. That's how much fun I think CR is
So let me present the business model:
- FREE CHOICE: 5 free daily matches on this gamemode. You get 5 new ones every 24 hours, and if you can't play for 1 day, there is a bank that can store a maximum of 10 matches
THIS IS LIMITED - but free. You get the taste of brilliance and entertainment
- PREMIUM CHOICE: 15 battles every day, and banks that store up to 3 days of not playing - 45 battles capacity. (This would be the current passroyale)
THIS IS FOR THE ENTHUSIAST. If you have a good logistic when playing - this will be enough for anyone - for a small monthly fee (the same value as a cheap lunch in town - is CR DeckChallanger worth that to you, personally?
- UNLIMITED CHOICE: a new more expensive version of pass royale, like ”legendary pass” gives you an unlimited amount of matches.
THE HOLY GRAIL. No boundaries. Infinite fun.
*More in depth:*
You get the mode in lv 9. But when you start over for each season, you get to CHOOSE what kingtower leauge you wanna play in: if you are king tower 12 for example, you can't access the lv 13 league, but can choose between king lv 9 all the way to lv 12.
If you choose lv 9, you will have a better opportunity to level up most of the cards you will use in the game when building the diverse possible amount of decks. Since versatility is key, this will improve your chances to perform and reach higher. In lv 9 league, the seasonal end rewards are the lowest point in the pair of leagues, though. So you have to compensate for: FairPlay- and The size of rewards
Then again, if you are in kingtower lv 12, and have most of the card you still will do fine with, at lv 11 and some at lv 10 → Then maybe, it is worth the sacrifice of lowering the FairPlay to king tower league 11, but increasing the potential rewards - as you progress on the global leaderboard for your bracket.
Each season you pick what kingtower leauge you wanna bet on.
(The more wins you have, the higher you get on the GLOBAL leaderboard for your separate king tower league. If this is a trophy system or just K/D, it's up to supercell to decide, or you guys on reddit.)
I prefer the good old trophy system, and then we incorporate your highest ever reached trophy number on OLD LADDER, to define the starting place you will have in your kingtower bracket. Therefore, you will get an advantage if you are high on ladder - which is heavily dependent on spending money on the game via supercell’s current method, so that you need to, agan:
Spend money on the game - and SC gives you advantages in fair ways - which makes supercell sustainable money making company
- still because of this game mode.
This system will also not compete with ladder, since you won't be having “Your own deck”. This gamemode will hover ever be a method, to get more resources, to upgrade your cards for the normal ladder - that the current supercell-business model for making money, is in charge for.
So the higher card levels you have, the easier it gets to have more cards in higher levels - to compete in leagues with higher rewards - and again:
  • spending money on the game gives you an advantage to progression
BUT! The player WHO WANTS to play CR fair play, can still do that with a fair-cost passroyale and in lv 9 - with low rewards, but again: with fair play.
If you on the last hand thought, do completely fine with only 5 matches a day (or how many SC would evaluate that to be sustainable for them), then you don't even need the pass, but:
  • you will start way lower in your king tower league each month
  • have to push for longer ro reach the competition of your skill level
  • the rewards are crappy
  • thus is a disadvantage in ambition, energy consumption and time, but it is still
FAIR PLAY. AND FAIR LEVELS when doing the grind. The frustration being created, will be way different than the one on ladder. That feels like just pure pain ass bullying… to be real here.
If you want to do that extra work, do that good old grind, IT SHOULD BE UP TO YOU, THE PLAYER,
  • If you feel like skipping that extra work is worth a pass royale to earn more gold, play more matcher every day, to upgrade more of your cards, to reach higher ladder records, get better starting place - and finally be able to progress <>
    • to compete in higher leagues for more rewards
- that´s in this business model - up for you, and ONLY for you to decide.
My last wish or idea is to have live spectating on top 500 on each of these king tower brackets, where live matches are in a little interface, so that you also easily can find the live ones. This way:
  • You can just log in to CR, play a few games, but then if (lol, WHEN) you get frustrated
chill and watch a few pros play, get inspired - and then get in the game again with that new motivation and focus!
THIS IS WHAT CR NEEDS TO STAY ALIVE, and not in a few months, or a year,
Supercell, spend the work on this, instead of making amazing looking new arenas every month that we then throw away and never see again...
We have plenty of arenas now! Save yourself that work, vary insead between the beautiful 15-25 arenas we now have (why not have some lower season arenas a few times a year? That would still be refreshing for the +4000 trophies players)
  • All while developing this system instead. I also think this tops the clan wars update, but if you could start working on this as the next project after the CW update, that would be amazing.
And I mean... the work that needs to be done, are just a couple of interfaces that take care of the logistical system. No new arena. No new animation with cards. No boats or whatever the huge and complex stuff that you have worked on in the new update.
THIS IS VERY SIMPLE COMPARED TO THAT —> and still... still this would be so much more:
  • Grade of how healthy the relationship is with your playerbase
  • Money income, on a predictionable and regular basis each month with the increase of passroyale purchases
Let's leave that for now, and look at this idea I have… for the community in Clash Royale:
Shoutout to LEGENDARAY! I know you are reading this, if my comment gets upvoted ;) been watching you and your creative ideas for over a year now. Been there since like 12k subs- so you kind of owe me not just this- but all of your subs, and everyone else in the world:
  • that loves Clash royale, but doesnt play it any more because it is so far off its maximum potential of being a both FAIR, COST FRIENDLY and FUN game
To Legendaray:
If you see the same potential in this gamemode as I do, please make a Concept video of it. Both explain, and literally play it with one of your friends or co-lab with other youtubers - for example KFC (would be awesome)
(This is possible, because the gamemode is so simple to develop. It is just basic logistics)
You are studying engineering, very much like I want to do (just finished high school baby, and I got into design engineering - my dream - in Sweden!) - so I know that you not only this, but do this . Damn good.
Together with my idea, innovative skills and ability to make a well thought out basic described concept - combined with your videoskills, problem solving-ability AND your youtube channel that has blown up recently...
We. Can. Change. CR. Forever.
I mean this dude. That's why I'm hyping this up...
We can not only make an awesome concept and create some excellent content for you channel:
But we can spread this to a whole other and new level than never ever possible before. (Cuz you are very smart, and have a youtube channel AND looks at reddit!! All at the same time.)
It is meant to be
Here is how you (or anyone else that feels entruiged) - can do it.
- Make a virtual luck based spinning wheel, or a physical one (that would be AWESOME) with every win condition and/or also with other types of regulations the deck should be built around (for example [5.0 or more]) - on all of the many circles sectors on the ”spin the wheel” like wheel-thingy
- Then you spin the wheel, and see where it stops *intense thrilling musicccc*
- Switch to the deck building interface with empty cardholders (the wood thing-slots), and have a small animation that locks the wincon that got chosen by the wheel, for example: ram rider
- Then the same thing happens again to the other player
- now the players vote for how long they wanna build. Tryhards will go for the lowest allowed, like 10-20 sec, but noone will be able to pick a maximum of... hmm lets say 40 sec. The middle point between the votes, decides the time both players have to build their decks
- A timer starts ticking down : 3, 2, 1, START BUILDING! *creative, intense music*
Display both players at the same time. For each player: Facecam, Mobile cam, card collection of the hardcounters you can use one of, spells, ground attackers ect. All the categories in a pedagogic way to more easily build a deck, and display at last a separate 8-slot card holder that shows the deck´s cards being inputted over time.
- The less time you have to build a deck, adds to the skill of having diverse knowledge within every win condition, thus: what cards fit ”in the current meta”. (Haha I always hear your voice there) You really have to be up to date with the cards that will fit with any wincon or archetype
- Time stops. If you do not make it in time, the remaining card slots will get a random card.
- The first player gets 10 sec to pick a card to show.
- The card is shown to the other player in 3, 2, 1, GO
- The other player (he is named player 2 from now on) gets 15 sec to change two of his cards 7 cards.
- Then player 2 gets 5 sec to decide what card to show: 3, 2, 1, GO
- player 1 gets to change 2 out of his 6 cards, since the one that he exposed earlier is ofcourse locked
- Then, player 2 again gets to show one card again, because that is more fair. (If you do not get that, think again.) Anyway - the same thing happens again, but he also has only 6 cards to choose from.
- At last, player 2 gets his last, and second chance to change two of his cards.
If anyone plays poker, you should be noting the vibes right about now;)
- and that's it! That's how you can make a fun concept video of how this game mode works, and then actually play. We don't need supercell to check if this is fun!
Us, we in the community can do that by ourselves, and then publish it on Legendarys channel, to get feedback on if this is something the game wants.
Together we can do some amazing stuff guys! Lets change Clash Royale forever, together! They can't ignore us if we do this really well. And if we really want this, then use that motivation to really get this concept video top notch Legendaray-quality.
Let's continue on the gameconcept a bit more thought, got some more ideas:
Now the match plays out much like any other, but you know 3 of the opponents cards, and you also know [that your opponent knows] 3 of your card in the deck, and you know which one you have showed (if you have a normal IQ memory)
The last thing you <> to the concept, is to add a crowd and commentators to this. Try to see how that works out. Let the casters have a prep talk about the players:
for example: (I'm trying to add some bad humor in to this - so that is is just like the CRL we all love)
”Hello and welcome to CRL west, spring 2020! This day we will be starting off by talking about our week top crl player, KFC, that will be kicking off the season today in just a couple of minutes.”
(KFC is a content creator known for making a fool of himself - for entertainment)
- Yes that's right [other casters name] KFC is looking real focused down there, but hey! Now he is looking at us, and he is still looking at us...? *5sec pass* now it is just weird - what are you doing down there KFC? *KFC smiled and says ”ha! Gotd you!” *But you can't hear him, only see him and his awkward gestures*
- Ooookey... anyway! At Least KFC is looking to be having a real fun time down there! So, KFC as I was about to tell you, is known for his lethal choice of quick deck building time frames to stress out his opponents, but always tends carefully select what cards to reveal in his deck - to lure and surprise his opponent with an innovative deckbuild”
- ”that's right [other casters name], in just s few minutes we will get to see him in action”
Wheel is spinned:
”And here we go! Kicking of the first spin of the day. [wheel spins] ohhh and it is looking to be... the ram rider!”
*Fill in the commentary between with some bullcrap here etc, you get it*
Player2-wheel spin:
”The second spinn of the season starts... now! This is going to be a good one, let me tell you that [casters name]. *other caster* ” That i for sure can reassure you of, because it is looking to be the Pekka!” ”What a way to kick off the season. It will be interesting to see how this matchup turns out...”
- Yes that's right my friend, you can just see the sheer tension in Legendarys face. He knows he's up for not only a deck building challenge, but also a real-time problem solving when playing to get his ramrider around that moma Pekka. He has got to outsmart him somehow…”
The deckbuilding begins:
”Oh, looks like KFC is going the other way today, with some conservative card revealing - While Ray on the other hand is surprising us by showing his big spell!” *surprised, chocked, stunned* —>*other caster* ”Yes that's right [casters name], that not something you see happen every day”
The match begins:
”Okay! Let's go, this match is looking like a real thrilling one, and the smile on Rays face actually seems to be making KFC nervous of what's to come” *other caster* ”to be honest, I have quite frankly never ever in my career of CRL - seen a pro player look that terrified as, KFC does right now.
Lets lean back, and have a good look at this game.”
After that, the rest is just like the already existing seasons of CRL...
- But! With waaay more entertainment, and possible outcome of amazing results, when pros wins - even when getting a matchup disadvantage in the beginning by the spinning wheel…
The end:
  • RICH! The ram rider is going to hit the tower!
AND THE RAMRIDER BREAKS THROUGH, and Legendaray comes out with a clutch victory, sniping the win from KFC with just a couple HP - despite the matchups disadvantage Ray’ received in the beginning of the match… What a staggering prestige from Legendarays side!
  • Yes my friend! That is som top notch Clash Royale gameplay right there, and this is just the beginning of CRL West spring 2020. For weeks to come, the show you now are watching will be filled with dussions and dussions of these kinds of matches, every, single, week. (Get the CRL exclusive membership for more content, green room and so much more...)
So ultimately:
”The skill in the new mode DeckChallanger, lies not perhaps in knowing a small amount of certain decks in the current meta very well, but rather in adaption to the situation, and therefore a good pro has to be very diverse and versatile - and good at finding creative ways to surprise and outsmart his opponents in real time gameplay:
—> in order to dominante in Deckchallanger 2020”
//Cheers again!

Second and last "quick" P.S
To supercell:
Please add this as soon as possible to the game - if you decide to go for it. Start with just a launch of a <> that has no ladder. Let us taste the game mode. Let us give you guys feedback. [Just a Casual - then it will require less work for you guys to let us try it out.]
If you, SC, already here start to see a noticeable increase of pass royales being bought, put the stakes ever higher on creating a separate ladder for this mode - to create a competitive feel.
That's when the money will start to pour in.

Trust me

Who am I?
  • Winner in Halland county Sweden for being the best innovator the year 2019-2020 within the global young entrepreneurial organization JA Worldwide: Sweden. For reference: Sweden's population is roughly 10 000 000 citizens.
(I innovated a theoretically proven to be working - solution to suspend a Spherical/Globeshaped tire for a wide variety of use cases within the global transportation industry with magnetic levitation and many other smart solutions - and then conceptualized a business idea, design marketing oand a plan to find investors… (still working on that company, doing all in my power to reach out to more investors for the best deal to my startup) )
  • And receiver of “E-max stipendium” , for being picked out as one of the 100 most innovative, entrepreneurial, impactful and creative senior-year highschool students in all of Sweden the year 2019 - 2020. (I have graduated now)
This is what I do. And Clash Royale deserves it. I want no money,
  • just my god damn beautiful beloved game to reach its maximum potential, in a sustainable and healthy way; For both the players and its company developer.

(Why do I tell this down here? This late?) \sidenote**
  • If this post has gotten upvoted to reach high in the feed, it means that I have made it there in a fair and honorable way, just like anyone else that is anonymous on reddit. I presented my idea only, and captured the reader's attention all the way down here. I don't think it is relevant to know who I am, if my idea and concept doesn't speak for itself - of how frickin good it is.
That way, you guys get more critical to the idea (Anyone could have uploaded this) - but when you sit there, have read it all, trying to be critical but you can't really find a weak spot
  • Bam. Then this guy is not just some random kido - this guy deserves a bit of respect.

But… not just yet. Hehe (A lot of text down here for supercell, or anyone else that is interested in business, future technology and innovation)
note this supercell:
The idea and concept of DeckChallanger, is only
one of the
Ideas <> for Clash Royale. However…
  • This is the only one you will get for free.
  • And - this is not even the best one, this is just the one with the most:
  • favorable effect on the game, in the ratio of:
The need of money, work and energy to go from concept to practically working - in ratio to - The effect the finished concept has on the game.
This concept has the highest ratio in that aspect amongst my other ideas and concepts for CR.
Other than this concept - I have multiple ideas and visions for how we could completely change the general view of what Clash Royale is, and what it could become in the future…
If you decide to work on this game mode, launch it, and then notice the significant increase in Pass Royale purchases not only the first month, but keeps at a constant high throughout many months - <>
Hit me up. If one of my ideas made you that much money, just imagine how much money you would make if you got all of my ideas:
  • Both the Best ones, the more Huge ones and the Smaller ones. Try imagine what is inside my head, if this idea, the DeckChallanger, made you that much money
Therefore it might be smart to get my contact information right now already, if you guys decide to go for my concept gamemode.
I wouldn't be offering this to just any game. I only want to do this with Clash Royale, because this game is the only game I truly love, and have really deep knowledge in. After many years of playing with the innovative thinking process I have - I have not been able, to not, start developing ideas for the game. They have just appeared naturally.
So, if you decide to hit me up, what would I want in return?
**I tell you that in my other post**
So. That why I´m going to tease my <> top 2 ideas:
** They did not fit in this post. Go to my profile to see the other one (New account so I will only have two posts)**
Let's make a clear structure for the vision of for when new gamemodes gets added to the game, and what purpose they would be serving:
LADDER - The main mode. Play all day, choose your deck - but levels are unfair
  • You need a method to get more resources to upgrade your cards...
Beneath this main gamemode, there are other gamemodes to be played along side ladder, that when played - gives you resources - to upgrade the cards for the main mode: Ladder
Therefore since Ladder already is unfair - why ALWAYS make <> of the gamemodes supporting the main mode: ladder - also level dependent?
The list of supporting game modes:
  • Clanwars
  • Classic and Grand challenges (If we had tickets in chests, that would be nice.)
  • Special challenges
  • Global tournaments
My idea is to <> in game modes in this category, with the focus on Fair Play, and a Freedom to the player. The gamemode then offers a free version of its brilliance: And then it is up to the player if they want more → get a pass royale. That moral works fine with any human being that I have ever met.
  • But you can calmly respond with the obvious argument: “So <> the gamemode that gives you 5 free daily matches, and a bank of max 10 - is not free content? Isn't that <> that gets added to the game, in the supporting category to ladder - the main mode - to get more resources - to upgrade your cards?
Think about that. Anyway:
The category could look like this, If my ideas were added:
  • DeckChalllanger, bracket king tower level dependent seasonal leagues
  • A new Clan Wars system (This should still be completely free tho, only new modes get the new business model I am describing)
  • [Idea 3]
  • [Idea 4]
  • [Idea 5]
  • …..
And so on. (And don't forget my tease for the ESPORT side of Clash Royale…) (other post)
That is the direction I would want to be taking this game. Clash Royale has a business model that is out of date in the free to play gaming-world, today.
  • But it is not too late. Clash Royale is a beautiful game with huge potential, now after 4 in game years of development - A FRICKIN MASTERPIECE - and is more than possible to completely turn around and generate huge streams of income again/even more than before
All you need. Are the right ideas. Not the bad ones, not the average ones, not even the good ones:
  • But the necessary ones.
Remember one thing from this. This crazy, but passionate guy <> completely reimagine the definition of what Clash Royale is and its status from all over the world, and throughout all gaming-industries. The potential you can't see - I not only see, but know is there. You could also at the same time get a stake in the potential future world leading company of autonomy, delivering spherical wheels to the whole GLOBAL mobility market, in monopoly (Only we have the new technology, we develop it highly confidentially) for the first few years:
  • just by hitting me up.
Only remember that when you are on the cusp of ignoring this offer. That's all I ask for, along with you testing this gamemode out with your developers:
  • For the sake of everyone out there in our world: that absolutely loves Clash Royale.
And the gamemode… You're gonna absolutely love it.

Also: Watch this advertisement from Supercell, and think about my tease for the future of CRL esport
(You will look at it - from a whole new perspective…)
And finish things off with this one above.
  • Now you get the idea, so take that imagination, and look at this CRL 2020 spring first episode. Fast forward the first 5 minutes.
Do you guys see how polished CRL has become now? How it feels, like <>? (Despite the corona pandemic that took away the studio the casters are in, and the OGN arena. The feel of CRL is there, ands it’s real)
Then imagine that (The beautiful 3D environment graphics and special effects) with the [number 1 and number 2] problems solved (that I presented earlier), and combine that version of how CR is played (for example DeckChallanger) - with the excellent format CRL now has developed, to be a real established esport that feels totally REAL, although it is all virtual.
It is all about perspective. To open your eyes. To start dreaming.

Kind regards: Nils Bjerger

A quick-ish FAQ for some semi-commonly asked questions by the subreddit

Hopefully this answers a few questions the community has.
Q: "When will Charged OG/chug taunt come back?"
A: Nobody really knows when(or if for that matter) Charged OG will return. It was a limited time color that was added due to Pepsico(read: Mtn Dew) sponsoring a tourney, so it probably won't come back unless there's another mtn dew game fuel tourney. Don't place your bets on one coming back though.
Q: "Why is *new legend here* using this specific color in 2v2s even though it isn't possible to use that color on a legend yet, and why can you render Jaeyun in colors like Heatwave and Haunting despite Jaeyun not being able to use them yet?"
A: First off, when someone picks a color scheme in friendly 2v2, they see their color on their teammates legend, I believe if you're fighting a team it'll be random as to which shows. If a Jaeyun picks ccs and a Brynn picks Charged OG and they end up queued on a team, there's a chance you'll either fight against a Brynn and Jaeyun with cc's, or a Brynn and Jaeyun with Charged OG. Secondly, colors are, to my knowledge, automatically applied on new legends/skins.
Q: "What ELO does *rank here above silver* start?"
A: Gold starts at 1390, Plat starts at 1680, and Diamond starts at 2k. Furthermore, for gold, Gold 2 is 1450-ish, Gold 3 is 1510-ish, Gold 4 is 1560-ish, and Gold 5 is 1620-1630ish.
Q: "How do I get cc codes?"
A: I actually made a guide describing basically every way you can get cc's. Check it out.
Q: "When can I get stream rewards?"
A: Next/I guess now this upcoming Saturday(July 18th) will be the first day you can get rewards from watching esports streams. Tourneys usually take place on the weekends and to my knowledge you'll probably just be able to leave twitch muted on your pc or phone while it goes through each region's 1v1/2v2 matches. 1v1's are one week then 2v2's are another week. You're definitely going to want to get the rewards though. cc's, a sidekick, and a limited time exclusive taunt(Though if you miss out it'll eventually be sold in the store) all for free just by watching or afking twitch streams.
Q: "How come the nameplates are 10k glory but show up as 1--"
A: Don't even ask that question. It's just bugged.
Q: How do I improve at the game/git gud/rank up to gold/plat/diamond/get out of my rut in tin/bronze?
A: Practice, dash jump, learn simple true combos and good strings, watch pros, etc.
Q: What's the best legend with *insert weapon here*?
A: The one you like playing as. Basically any legend can perform well, though some have a harder time(Nai comes to mind).
Q: Will I get the gold/plat/diamond borders/avatars if my legend elo in 1's or personal elo or whatever is 1390+/1680+/2k+?
A: You will. I'm not sure if peak elo overall counts for end-season glory rewards but I know you'll get the borders and avatars just from reaching a peak elo with anything(ranked 1 account elo/legend elo, ranked 2 team elo/personal elo).
Q: When is heatwave?
A: The devs said mid-late July but my guess is within the next few days or the week after. You can look at the heatwave skins and podium in the legend render tool already if you're on PC.
Q: Will S2 BP be purchasable with mammoth coins?
A: My guess is no though BMG might hit us with a 200 MC or 10$ offer. I'd guess not though.
Q: When do battle point rewards end?
A: No idea, though someone in a thread mentioned it's 27,500 points or more.
Q: How do you get the other free weapon skins, besides the scythe one?
A: Odin's gifts have been out for a few years now and I believe there's 5 of them -- sword, spear, katars, axe, and now scythe. To my knowledge you can't get the youtube axe or whatever the spear one was. I have them but they're basically exclusive forever now since links won't work/it's hard finding links. There's a link for the katars one and apparently the sword one(which was the first one they did iirc) still has a link somewhere.
Q: Will Salute, Be a Hero, and Solidarity once it leaves the shop ever come back?
A: Salute's made multiple returns in the past. I believe the last time it showed up was around the time Vector was released and they seem to do it every year and a half or so. Expect salute to show up sometime again either late this year or early next year. To my knowledge Be a Hero hasn't returned yet and Solidarity probably won't either?
Q: Is the all legends pack worth it?
A: If you don't have any legends or haven't purchased that many of them, it definitely is. It's 20 bucks so every legend currently in the game's worth 40 cents and you'll definitely get that much value or more out of each if you decide to play as all of them at some point. It doesn't refund your gold so if you have a lot of them or have all of them already, don't purchase it.
Q: Is the BP worth it?
A: Hell yes it is, though if you're buying it this late you might want to wait for the next unless you've got way too much time or are ok with not having stuff like Akuma no Kogo Hattori/Kung Fu Salute/Soul Fire for every legend/every new legend.
Q: Is the Collectors Pack worth it?
A: If you want to spend 100 bucks on BH then yeah it is. 3500 MC is already worth around 80-100 bucks so you're already getting good value out of it, but you also get an exclusive sidekick, two avatars and nameplates, an exclusive Bodvar skin, exclusive weapon skins available for every current and upcoming weapon, an exclusive KO effect, and the all legends pack bundled in as a bonus. Get it.
Q: Why did they remove the Valhalla pack/when did they remove it?
A: Apparently they removed it in October 2018 or a similar time. Instead of removing it in October 2017 after the game ended open beta BMG cancelled it right before the Ubisoft buyout which is kinda weird. It's a shame too, since it was arguably the most value you'd ever get out of a pack in BH(unless you count the bp as a pack and I don't). 500-ish MC, an exclusive sidekick, and an exclusive nameplate(the sidekick and nameplate have since been added to the collectors pack but still).
Q: Will we ever get a chance to purchase Yeetee BH shirts/Yeetee Teros again?
A: Apparently BMG had no idea Yeetee even removed their shirts from the website, so we'll probably end up seeing Brawlhalla shirts sold on there again eventually. Too bad I got my BH shirt from amazon and it's horribly compressed + was made in a sweatshop in Haiti(poor Haiti, one of the least developed nations, always getting fucked over).
Q: How long has BH been around?
A: Alpha came out in April 2014. Closed Beta in late 2014. Open Beta in 2015. Released in 2017. Overall since 2014, though it's been free since 2015.

WallStreetBets Exposed: Market Manipulation, Fraud, and Theft of Tendies | From: SpeaksInBooleans

From: SpeaksInBooleans
UPDATE: I've been banned from /wallstreetbets.
UPDATE2: The post from conspiracy was removed by the admins. Someone please back this up somehow. Thanks!
Firstly... who am I?\_and\_gains/
My goal of this post is to reveal a potential conflict of interest / improper promotion of a business.
The first thing I ask of you is to backup some of the Twitch vods in this post, as well as anything you feel may be valuable, as they may be deleted in the future.
Some of you may know that jartek of /wallstreetbets is hosting a contest for traders called the WSB Championship.
On its face, the WSB Championship sounds like a great idea. Per jartek here are some stats on just that, backed up by both his reddit posts, and his interview on wallstreetbooyah’s Twitch stream (for reference, see this
- 12 contestants will compete
- $50,000 buy-in
- $200 ticket cost
- 6-7 figure prize
- Hosted at the Arlington Esports Stadium (near Dallas, Texas)
- Sponsored by True Trading Group\_championship/flkpqik/
So I did some DD on what exactly True Trading Group is and went down a hell of a rabbit hole. jartek was pushing it HARD. Why would jartek endorse this so seriously? Here’s what I found…
TRUE TRADING GROUP LLC is based out of Coral Gables, Florida, and has two people as authorized persons (managers). They are Adam Heimann and Michael Perinotti. Let’s take a look at the website:
Would you trust this guy in the video? It's terrible. It’s jartek shilling True Trading Group. Hell, even another mod, stormwillpass works for True Trading Group. Per jartek, “even u/stormwillpass is part of their pro traders in charge of stock options.”\_championship/fljoneh/
Back to TTG. Let’s dive into Adam Heimann. Per Adam’s LinkedIn, he has many current positions.
As you can see in the above image, they are:
* President / Creative Director - MIDAM Ventures LLC
* Partner - WallStreetBets, LLC
First, the one everyone spotted, WallStreetBets, LLC. Seems interesting huh? LinkedIn here.
Oh so that goes to And look at that, when you visit the website, that directly talks about the competition. This website was promoted by jartek. How nice. So we can confirm that Adam Heimann is indeed associated with WallStreetBets, and even went so far as to register an LLC.
I wonder how they got that idea…\_of\_creating\_a\_wsb\_llc\_for\_the\_tax\_write/
The others on that LLC?
Michael Perinotti. More on Michael later.
Now let’s dive into MIDAM Ventures LLC.
It’s registered at the same location in Coral Gables, Florida as True Trading Group (both at 1501 Venera Ave 225 Coral Gables, FL 33146). Know what else is at that address? Maph Enterprises LLC. Guess who is on the business license there? You guessed it:
* Adam Heimann
* Michael Perinotti
* Jason Spatafora
So how do Jason and Michael play into this? Weed of course.
Adam even brags about on his LinkedIn. No surprise.
That brings me to a question:
Remember when WallStreetBets were so into weed stocks? I wonder why. Could Adam, Michael, and Jason have used WallStreetBets to pump up marijuana stocks? Which would they pump?
All I know is there could be a conflict of interest between someone who owns a marijuana website, who owns shares in an actual marijuana company, and surprise, Jason does! I’m not going to look into the other guys but I wouldn’t be surprised.\_ex1002.htm
Okay okay, let’s take a step back. Could True Trading Group actually afford to do a 6-7 figure prize?
Well True Trading Group doesn’t list estimated revenue, but we can check a few other businesses that this group of gentlemen own.
* Maph Enterprises LLC - $51,000 estimated
* Paper Street Capital LLC (owned by Jason) - $150,000 estimated
* True Trading Group - $1,500 for an annual membership… how many could there be?
So in short, please tell me how this amount of revenue could even come close to pay for a 6-7 figure prize. It couldn’t. So let’s take into account ticket sales.Let’s assume they sell 2,500 tickets (that’s very generous, and the max capacity of the venue) at $200 a ticket. That’s $500,000. Let’s assume $50,000 goes back to the venue (again, generous). So we’ve got $450,000. That would be the MINIMUM prize money. We haven’t even taken into account the additional costs that might add up. Subtract another $100,000 for lawyers, equipment, and tons of other expenses that come along with things like this. Now we’re down to $350,000. And we haven’t even talked about taxes or anything. How is this prize possible again? Jartek talks about a 7 figure prize. They may be pay per view, but I don’t see that being too popular to be honest.
And how exactly is jartek involved in all of this? Well firstly, he was promoting, which we know is associated with WallStreetBets, LLC, owned by Adam. Firstly, some reference material:
Jartek declines over a million tendies sponsorship because it would ruin the integrity of the competition (ironic don’t you think?)
But Jartek accepts True Trading group as sponsor.
Regardless of what you’ve seen above, there is so much more to this than I’ve mentioned. I’m still not sure how WALL STREET BETS LLC fits into this. Other info I’ve looked into, could be a dead end:
Michael Perinotti is of course one of the owners of Maph. Michael Perinotti and Michael Berger made a new site for weedstocks ( Technical420 was co-founded Michael Berger and a relative, Jordan Berger. Jordan Berger is SVP at MoneyShow. One of MoneyShow’s sponsors is a company Michael Perinotti worked for (T3). Where this goes, I’m not sure, but there is something going on with WallStreetBets, I think we’ve proven that. If there are more issues with this group using /wallstreetbets to promote their own interest (see weed stocks), then you’ll have to dive deeper than I did.
Finally, before we stop, what happened if I told you wsbgod was jartek. Crazy I know. But is it? Please note, I don’t think this as solid, but here’s why I think this:
* Similar vocabulary
* Similar syntax
* Similar sentence structure and style
* Similar posting times
* Instantly approved posts on the subreddit
Throwing all their combined Twitter and Reddit post history into a language matching tool (and blowing up my monthly Azure costs) yields an 87% similarity. Huh.
Let’s look at something else. So jartek claims to have confirmed wsbgod’s positions in this video:
Why does he claim wsbgod is bullshit in this clip?
Possibly projection on his part because of True Trading Group.
Womp womp.
Why does wsbgod not do an interview on wallstreetbooyah’s show? But he will with jartek? Probably because they are the same person, which would mean most likely wsbgod is faking gains and a total fraud.
Which would mean that jartek is using wsbgod as his alter ego to promote the site, to personally profit (I mean he did write a book, come on guys), and shill True Trading Group.
I think it sounds pretty reasonable.
There are so many more rabbit holes to go down, but for now I’ll stop digging. Thanks for reading!
Tl;dr: jartek is using WallStreetBets to promote his, or his friend’s company (True Trading Group) and steal our tendies. He may have used WallStreetBets to promote weeds stocks that he or his friends owned. He may also be wsbgod. In short, mods of WallStreetBets are using the sub to promote their own self interests.
