Mobile gambling
If you plan to develop an app with the ability to deposit and withdraw real money, then such a product automatically falls into the category of gambling and you will need to license your business for successful operation.
Mobile and Web Based Apps
So let’s talk about the different kinds of online gambling apps available on web and mobile. We’ll be covering both free-play gaming apps and real money casino app games you can find for iOS, Android devices and web browsers.
Mobile gambling is more common for poker, casino, bingo, and skill games. They have advantages in terms of a low barrier to enter the market, instant liquidity, product knowledge, and marketing expertise, minimal infrastructure costs, and the ability to bring a brand to the market quickly. Consequently, this form of gambling does not sit neatly with jurisdictional boundaries. Multiple gambling opportunities are available, including betting on various events and markets, in a relatively simple format. Gambling products can also be integrated into betting on television shows or virtual racing and sports games as well as offering lotteries, bingo, poker and casino games.
Most Popular Gambling Apps
Sports betting, casino, poker and lotteries are the most popular forms of online gambling. However, other forms are available too. These include the following: Bingo, slot machines, different card games, roulette and other game of chance. One of the best things about online gambling and betting apps is the number of choices you have.

Sports Betting

Betting means making or accepting a bet on the outcome of a race, competition, or other event or process, the likelihood of anything occurring or not occurring, or whether anything is or is not true. Today most sports betting is done via mobile-friendly sites and apps.
Today most sports betting is done via mobile-friendly sites and apps.
The introduction of live betting for sports like soccer and tennis means that bettors who are sitting inside stadiums watching games can now pick up their mobile devices and find real-time betting value with the best sports gambling apps. This has really unlocked a door to the future of sports gambling and the popularity of online gambling apps.

Poker

Many sites offer free poker, where no real money is wagered, although in some cases players can accumulate credits that can be exchanged for prizes. This is the case why people are going to play for real money. There is an ongoing debate over whether poker should be classified as a game of chance or skill. The parameters of legal poker playing are still unclear and differ between jurisdictions. Since you are not gambling with money, I’m pretty sure under the law it’s just a video game for now.

Blackjack

Blackjack is the game of choice to many high-rollers and do you know why? Because blackjack is a challenging, logic and skill-based game where your thinking, strategy, and calculations determine the outcome of the game.

Bingo

Bingo is one of the most popular and socially accepted games in the world. Bingo is a traditional form of gambling that has seen considerable innovation in recent years. It is also the only form of gambling recognized in the Gambling Act that does not have a specific statutory definition, the Act providing simply that “bingo” means “any version of that game, irrespective of by what name it is described”. Bingo must be played as an equal chance game. For game to be classed as “bingo” it must meet the Act’s definition of “equal chance gaming” (as opposed to casino gaming). Thus, it: must not involve playing or staking against a bank, and must be a game in which the chances are equally favorable to all participants in the sense that each ticket or chance has the same probability of success as any other.
Licensed bingo is a well-regulated and socially responsible form of gambling that takes place in a safe environment. Many sites offer multiple forms of bingo with different features, types of games, and costs of play. These sites often cater specifically for women and some research suggests that they may appeal to markets who would not typically engage in traditional forms of gambling.

Slots

Slot machine is one of the most beloved game among the gambling community and it has been a part of the industry for a long time. They provide fun and entertainment and their simplicity allows gamers to start playing at once. This can play out in different ways depending on the machine you’re playing. For instance, there’s Pick a Fortune, a five-reel, 20 line game that puts players right in the studio of a television game show, including the potential to play a Deal or No Deal-style bonus round. A super trend over the past few years is mobile-friendly slot games. These apps and websites were developed to enable players to enjoy their favorite games on their smartphones at any time. Another dominant slot trend is licensed branded slots that are based on popular movies, television, and musicians.
Virtual Money vs Real Money
Let’s find out the difference between social gambling and real money gambling, as well as the differences between gambling through apps and gambling through a web browser. It can be quite confusing trawling through all the casinos, slots, and lotteries available, both through your mobile web browser as well as through mobile app stores, in the form of downloadable apps.

Virtual money

The main difference between virtual money and real money gambling is that the in-game virtual currency in social games and gambling-type games is used only like credits that are not paid out as winnings or anything given to player in cash, making these games exempt from gambling regulations.
Virtual money is loaded on user game accounts via in-app purchases in mobile applications or the game balance funding from a card via web based applications.

Real money gambling

Real money gambling via your mobile device is only allowed in countries where laws have been passed that allow for this type of gambling online, or there are no laws in place that prevent it. The payment systems are the legal way of services payment in the gambling app, performing as the intermediary between the gambling facility and the client. With their help, users replenish deposits and withdraw funds to personal accounts in financial institutions. If the application uses the payment system of a well-known brand, that gives players additional confidence in the resource. Nowadays, there is a wide range of payment systems, some of which operate all over the world, other systems are oriented towards the citizens of one or several countries. A number of services accept money of different world currencies, while others allow currency transactions of one state only.
What is an Online Gambling Licensing
The internet has a global audience, there’s no single piece of legislation that covers the legality of online gambling for the entire world. Mobile gambling doesn’t typically accept customers from every single country in the world. It often focuses on certain specific regions.
Instead, most countries have their own local laws that deal with the relevant legal and regulatory issues.
Ultimately, questions of legality all go back to the location of the casino or where the website operates out of. In closed regulatory systems, such as Italy, France, and the Netherlands, licenses, and advertising rights are limited to domestic providers, which must be located within their country’s geographical boundaries and these are only permitted to offer some types of products. Some jurisdictions, for example, Norway, Sweden, and Canada legalize and regulate online gambling, but this is limited to a single site that is owned by the government. Under such an approach, the government becomes the operator and regulator and all revenues are returned to the government.
Remote gambling is generally permitted. That means that an operator that is licensed may provide gambling services to citizens in the country via all forms of remote communication (and using equipment that may be located in the country or abroad). Equally, a remote operator may be licensed to offer gambling services to citizens in any jurisdiction in the world using equipment located in the country. The law provides that, for each type of gambling (betting, gaming, and participating in a lottery), there will be two forms of license available: remote and non-remote forms (land-based). If you provide facilities for remote gambling, online or through other means, and advertise to consumers you will need a license from the licensing jurisdictions or local licensing authorities. Before an online gambling site signs up its first customer, before it accepts its first bet before the first card is dealt, it must be licensed by a recognized governmental entity.
Certain regions in the world have specific legislation in place that allows them to license and regulate companies that operate online gambling sites or provide industry services (such as the supply of gaming software). These regions are referred to as online gambling jurisdictions or licensing jurisdictions.
Depending on what type of entertainment you are going to implement in your internet establishment, you will have to apply for the corresponding permissions. Online gambling laws in Europe vary from one country to the next. The industry is well regulated in some countries and less so in others. There are several online gambling jurisdictions located in Europe. Some of these are members of the European Union (EU), and thus subject to the various rules and regulations of that body, while others are independent. Each of these jurisdictions has an authority that’s responsible for approving gambling sites for licenses that enable them to offer their services legally. They also regulate their licensees.
Countries that Provide Gambling Licensing
Today there are lots of licensing jurisdictions located all over the world and offering different terms for their customers. Depending on the country, licenses can be local, international (distributed in several countries), have a different set of documents for registration, costs of registration and further support, various operating conditions and other special details.

Which gambling license is both internationally recognized?

The government of Ireland offers casino operators, software, and service providers in the gambling industry, with a gambling license that allows gambling operators to conduct business related to casino, lotto, and other gaming-related activities. Ireland Gambling License is one of the most popular license for online casinos worldwide. Ireland has long been recognized as one of the preferred locations for Online Gambling operators to base their operations. This success has been due to a combination of factors, such as a progressive legislative system, political stability, first-rate telecommunications facilities, and a well established financial services industry. A wide range of gambling sites operates out of Ireland including sports betting, casino sites, poker, bingo, and more.
In stark contrast, the UK is the largest regulated market for online gambling in the world, and corporations are already comfortable exploiting the intersections of gambling and gaming, betting in-play, social gaming, Bitcoin, financial trading and spread betting, betting exchanges, e-sports and, most profitably, mobile gambling. 40% and 60% of online gambling in the UK took place in Gibraltar.

International licensing

Europe is home to the following online gambling jurisdictions: Alderney, Gibraltar, Isle of Man, Malta. Malta is currently the country that is most accommodating to gambling companies, and the license offers whitelisted online gambling in sports and casino games in many European territories. But takes an extreme amount of time in paperwork and background checks. Also, you pay 5% of all your gross profit to the EU.
Among countries offering gambling licensing services, the attention should be paid to Curaçao jurisdiction, which is considered to be one of the most promising for the online gaming business.
Curaçao Internet Gaming Association (also known as Curaçao eGaming) is both a regulator and a licensor, and its licensing works worldwide except Curaçao itself, USA, France and Netherlands. Using Curacao as an example, let us examine in detail the process of obtaining a license, the necessary documents and expenses.
How to get a License on Curaçao
  • Documents necessary for company registration:
  • criminal record;
  • passport scans;
  • bank account confirmation;
  • documents proving payments for utility services.
After the company is registered, an operator can apply for the license providing the following documents:
  • a document certifying the right of domain possession;
  • description of games planned to be used in the project;
  • a list indicating countries of potential operation;
  • illustration of server locations to be used in the project;
  • a copy of the agreement with a software provider.
Gambling license cost:
  • Bank account opening $1000
  • Company registration $3600
  • Company management per year $3600
  • Application processing fee $1000
  • License fee per year $4800
  • Equipment/software fee starting from $1500
  • Server maintenance per year $6000
Apart from that pay for technical support and maintenance every year. The entire license issuing process takes between 2-4 weeks. Curacao Internet Gaming Association (CIGA) also has the power to review a license and, if it finds that an operator has breached a license condition, has the power to impose a range of sanctions including revocation of the license.
Apple and Google Gambling Rules
You’ll be surprised at the limited number of real money gambling app options available on the AppStore and Google Play Store. Most real money casino gaming is done through gambler’s mobile web browsers and not through mobile gambling apps that you’ll find for iPhone and Android phones. Apple allows online gambling applications in a few forms, and not just in places where it is explicitly permitted. They do not allow any payments through the applications – those have to be done on the websites. Apple has far stricter developer guidelines for iOS apps than Google does for Android apps, so it’s fine to assume that whatever you choose to download from iTunes is usually safe, secure, and meets a certain standard.
Any real money casino in the iTunes app is required to have proper licensing and permissions before Apple will approve the app for use or downloads. While Google Play is technically regulated, it is much more loose in what can be hosted.

Apple Store

Gambling, gaming, and lotteries can be tricky to manage and tend to be one of the most-regulated offerings on the App Store. Apple has rules for apps that support real money wagering, including sports betting and poker. Those apps and lotteries must have necessary licensing and permissions in the locations where the App is used, must be geo-restricted to those locations, and must be free on the App Store, and Apple rate even simulated gambling apps as appropriate only for users 17-years-old and up.

Play Store

Google keeps the reigns tight. To be able to successfully upload apps to the Google Play store, developers need to have a valid license for the specific countries they are targeting and comply with their regulations. The app must be free to download and must prevent under-age users from gambling in the app. As a final precaution, all gambling apps are required to display prominent information regarding responsible gambling practices. This brings its policy in line with the Apple App Store.
Countries where gambling is illegal
It is also important to remember that while gambling is growing rapidly in many places, in others it is totally or partially prohibited. As well as in the majority of the US, sports betting is illegal in India, Pakistan, and China, three of the largest gambling markets in the world. Most countries have rules against gambling. Almost all Islamic countries prohibit gambling of every kind, but many turn a blind eye to online gambling or simply do not have regulations in place for this grey area.
In the United Arab Emirates, however, any kind of gambling is prosecuted. National lotteries are the only legal forms of wagering on the Asian country’s mainland. Cambodia, North Korea strictly forbids online and offline gambling amongst its own citizens but allows tourists to participate in these activities.
Qatar is the strictest country of all when it comes to gambling laws. All forms of gambling activities are considered illegal, and even sports betting is not permissible.
Starting your own gambling product
Numerous online casino platforms in the market offer fantastic casino games like bingo, poker, roulette, and many more.
If you have an idea, but don’t know where to start, we advise you begin with a Minimal Viable Product (MVP) to pilot your proof of concept for investors. MVP spotlights your core features and lets your investors know there are bigger and better things to come.
For MVP you do not need a large team, just a few people are enough to create a fully functioning prototype. In the case of successful numbers of your prototype, the further development of a full-fledged product will require more team, resources and time, however you will be sure that your development and your costs will pay off.

On 5G

Since there are a lot of wild ideas about what 5G is, whether it spread corona, and whether it is a good sector to invest, I want to chime in and give some advice. I am an expert on 5G tech, have been working with 4G/5G research for a long time, but I must admit that I know sh**t about the business aspect.
The business aspect is a different beast. For example, 3G was available for many years, where lots of mobile operators have burnt billions and billions of dollars and crying about it, before the iphone came to market and completely change the game. So just having a nice technology is not enough, there is also a need to have a corresponding use case (a killer app, device, new industry, etc) for the technology to get traction.
That being said, 5G is designed with this three main use cases in mind:
(you can refer to this article, https://www.ericsson.com/4ae09e/assets/local/reports-papers/ericsson-technology-review/docs/2017/etr_evolving_lte_to_fit_the_5g_future.pdf, I am one of the authors... if you are not tech savvy and do not have time, just look at figure 2 therein)
DISCLAIMER: I am not representing my company when I write this, so just my understanding/views
1) enhanced mobile broadband:
This is a use case where human to human communication is the main thing. Basically, making the data rate of smartphones faster, making sure there are not many coverage holes (e.g less dropped connections even while in fast moving vehicles, indoor, under bridges/tunnels, etc..), making sure dense number of people can be supported in a given area, etc..
so basically, Gbps, reliable, connection even in hotspots...
2) ultra reliable and low latency communication
This is for use cases such as remote control/operation, factory automation (what some call industry 2.0) (you can read more about this at https://www.ericsson.com/en/internet-of-things/industry4-0), where a very fast latency is required. We are talking about a latency of 1-10ms, or even less than 1ms if we have what is called edge computing (e.g. some server on the internet or some cloud is not required for the service and the app server is located almost at the same location as the nodes that are providing connectivity like the base station antennas) . With 4G, we are talking about tens of milliseconds of latency at best.
This is targeting both non-human (machine to machine) and human centered communication (e.g. gaming) or a mix of both (humans controlling machines remotely, imagine a surgery using a robot arm that the is controlled remotely by a surgeon)
3) massive machine type communication:
This is purely for non human communication, not necessarily requiring very high data rates, but having some severe restrictions like energy efficiency (e.g. sensors that can work for years without changing battery), coverage (e.g. sensors that are deep down in basements that record electricity/water usage).
There are of course use cases that are a mixture of the above three. For example, an intelligent transportation system will require tons of sensors all over the road that the cars can communicate with to get info, as well as very low latency for the communication between cars to avoid accidents, platooning (e.g a fleet of trucks drifting each other to save fuel, etc). Another example will be a remote operation where the operator is getting very high definition video feedback or the activity he is observing (which requires very high data rate) and be able to manipulate the activity immediately (e.g touch a button and action taken remotely within milliseconds).
So lots of use cases, lots of possibilities, but as I have mentioned earlier, it all depends on when the tech gets adopted. Specially, use cases 2 & 3 are very complicated because several aspects like government policies and ethics play a part (e.g. autonomous transportation system), so not only a killer app/device will be enough to drive your 5G investment “to the moon”.
I have no doubt all the use cases will become relevant at some point in the future, but whether that is going to be 3 years or 30 years, I don’t know. And anyone who tells you otherwise with certainty is probably lying. But if I have to bet on anything, I will bet on use cases 2 and 3, and thus invest on companies that are mainly targeting these use cases rather than only the first use case, because if those two use cases fly, then there is no part of our life that will not be affected by it. The problem is timing of course, if the adoption takes too long, then the companies that are the major players may not be relevant at that time.
What I wrote above maybe not so helpful with regard to your immediate investment plans, but at least I hope I have clarified that 5G is not just about downloading a HD movie in seconds on your mobile phone :-)

Typing the Typeless?!

WARNING: EXTREMELY LONG POST AHEAD. I DON'T MIND IF YOU JUST SKIM IT AND SAY WHATEVER YOU'RE THINKING. YOU DON'T HAVE TO READ IT ALL. IF YOU DO, LOL. I SERIOUSLY APPRECIATE THAT. CAUSE I WOULD NOT READ A POST OF THIS LENGTH 😂😂😂😂😂
Heya! I’ve had instances where I was close to just declaring myself typeless because of how difficult it is for me to reach a conclusion and stick by it. I’ve been typed as virtually everything, aside from a few types but I bet even those have been speculated LOL! I don’t remember it well. Now I have all of this stuff to answer and it looks like so much work I’m not sure I’ll ever finish. I actually started this post I’m not sure how many days or weeks ago and forgot about it so here I am creating an introduction and opting to continue.

I’m not entirely sure how it’ll turn out, but we’ll see! If you could give me any ideas about my type, it would be appreciated, and tell me why you think so here we go.Also, I just like hearing new thoughts and opinions + I'm pretty bored right now so I'm hopping onto the wagon, since I've never had one of these gigantic reddit typings.Just trying it out. Also if you do actually take the time to read this and come up with a type/types, I'd like to know why you think so!
I'm 21 years old, currently in my juniosenior (forgot how many credits I actually have) year of college. I'm a communications major with a minor in creative writing. Why did I choose communications? I dunno! It's ambiguous and I like that. I like how it doesn't incorporate just one area of study, like strictly mathematics, biology, mechanics, stuff like that, but instead, it's inclusive of many fields like journalism, radio/television, learning about human behavior and trying to understand it on a deeper level (yes, I had a class like that which was pretty rad.

If only I'd paid more attention), etc. It's on the broader side of the spectrum when it comes to potential jobs I could pick up after graduation. It's the next best thing aside from interdisciplinary studies which basically lets you dip your toes in all kinds of pools while still obtaining a degree, like trying a free sample from every booth. I almost did interdisciplinary studies, but then I changed my mind again and again. Admittedly, I do enjoy my minor more than my major.
Creative writing is SO MUCH FUN. Dude, it's like the only thing I've somewhat consistently been doing since I was young. I've been writing stories since I was like 5 or 6, probably since I learned how to type on a computer. My favorite thing about creative writing is that it's not some technical writing, there's no script or boring topic you have to follow.

it's a blank canvas where you can create absolutely whatever you want. That's the beauty of it. I can sit there and write about greasy airplane bunnies having kids that resemble octagonal lettuce hairs competing in a race to win a bajillion panda trumpets shaped like Madagascar and I just can. I'm a huge daydreamer and constantly in my mind. I love making up new scenarios and just wondering about alternate realities or ways of seeing the world/conjuring up new worlds. I think writing is an incredible outlet for that.

Another thing I enjoy about writing is that you're not only limited to publishing books or being an English or something. PSA: I don't even want to be a teacher LOL. But you can adapt your writing into movies, YouTube videos, plots for games, ideas for websites, apps, etc. There are so many kinds of creative writing, like scriptwriting, poetry, general fiction, sci-fi, or just pure gibberish that appears in your mind.
So, for a career, I'm not exactly sure what I want to do. I fear being trapped in a boring career or just being stuck doing something I don't find enjoyment in. Okay, come and lecture me. Tell me I need to be more realistic and can't chase things for the sake of enjoyment. I've been told these things by many people.
But you know what? I don't think there's a reason to say people shouldn't chase their dreams, no matter how big. In fact, I encourage people to dream as big as they can. That dream bubble can keep expanding and expanding, and right when you expect it to pop, it can transform into its own bubble utopia, kinda like those SpongeBob episodes.
It doesn't matter how old you are or what you have your heart set on, even if it's "too big" for other people. What's the fun in having a desk job you sit at for 8 hours a day? Why not pursue what you're truly passionate about? I think working with my writing and making sure I find something flexible with it would be pretty ideal. Travel blogging sounds neato too. So does graphic design, just having some sort of creative/flexible career based around writing and design. I don't have an exact name for it but for now... Let's just say that.
My upbringing. That's something. So, I grew up with an extremely strict family. My friends would always tell me about how I'm missing out because of my rule-adhering stickler parents. They refuse to buy any different foods or basically anything they're not used to. Huge health nuts. Never travel, never changed houses. My mom actually always gets angry with me because I have a habit of staying up late, usually until 6-10 am. Somewhere there. I don't mind that time changing or varying. Staying up late is a habit cause there’s so much to do online and I have trouble shutting off my mind cause it always wants be on and spin around. I feel like I’m going so fast and find it difficult to focus on one thing or do things like meditation. Not even a second. My family didn’t seem to get it and tried forcing me into routines I quickly break. I can feel extremely tired and pull more all nighters. Plus, we're all quarantined and I recently finished spring semester, I don't have anywhere to be so I don't see a point in following a routine or schedule. Pretty rebellious toward my parents' rules. One thing they go absolutely crazy over is me staying up all night and eating at random times, like breakfast at 4pm. I would always want to do my own thing and deviate from it. I always felt this need to escape.

I wanted to do something differently but considering I don’t have money or resources, pretty much stuck with them. They're pretty inflexible and difficult to negotiate with. I keep my hopes up that one day things will change and I'll be able to have more fun, sorta distancing myself from the boring situation at hand.

But really. Their rules and regulations are too much, in my opinion. They seem to be very judgmental of people who are "different" which bothered me too. I don't like seeing people ostracized because they express themselves in a way that makes them feel happy. So I'd feel kinda weird when my parents would start talking badly about certain people, even if I didn't know them.
An entire weekend by myself? Well, I do that most weekends LOL! Even before we were all trapped at home, I spent a lot of time on my own. My thing with friends... It's been interesting, fo sure. I've never had nearly as many friends IRL as I do online. I'm all about online communities. I think people are more welcoming, friendly, accepting, openminded, and fun online, whereas IRL, I can be more quiet and have a harder time forming long lasting friendships. I can also enjoy lotsa time on my own cause of all the stuff I distract myself and come up with.
I can be talkative with some people and talk a LOT,ramble like crazy and enjoy myself, other times I can be quiet and just need time to myself after a long interaction, especially one where I'm bored. I’ve had lots of people think I’m so outgoing upon first meeting me just because of how much I can talk and how hyper I get. I can be outgoing in bursts and get super duper excited but I would say there's a lot of introversion in my personality. If I happen to be in a convo filled with tons of outgoing extroverts, they'll prolly take center stage lol.
Like a year ago, I had a lot of IRL friends, you could say dozens. I even studied abroad with them. But then... They just trickled out, faded away. At one point it was like I was just talking with their holograms, the next day, our friendship had just disappeared. A lot of them thought I was childish and didn't seem to want to continue our friendship.

It was hard to be myself around them because of how judgmental they were and admittedly, how bored I would get around them sometimes because I felt as though they thought everything I had to say was weird and I thought what they talked about was repetitive and judgmental. So the weekends I spend on my own include these two main things: daydreaming and the internet. I create new worlds in my mind and use them as story inspiration, and I spend a HEAPLOAD of time in online communities. You don't wanna see my screen time LOL.
Making friends online is great, I sometimes have trouble keeping track of everyone but when I say it's SUCH a piece of cake compared to IRL. I have too many apps to count and constantly switch between them. Just chatting with people and sharing our ideas/creating posts keeps me occupied for hours. I also play random iPhone games and sometimes I borrow my brother's switch to pass time.
It's pretty easy for me to keep myself entertained with the stuff I think of. Thing is, it's way easier to come up with all of these things I'd like to create than actually finishing them. Even this post has me questioning whether or not I'll ever complete it. I actually started it a while ago because I was curious about getting typed by the reddit community, just for fun, but now considering its length and the fact I'm probably not close to being done, I'm not sure if anyone will readdit.
But it would explain why I stay up so late too. I think of so much, I can't seem to keep track and the internet is A D D I C T I V E !
Movement? I seem to wanna be moving pretty often, even if that just alludes to my bouncy leg syndrome. Sometimes I get hyper and spin on my chair or bounce off the walls. I should also mention it's very likely I have ADHD.
It's been suspected from campus counselors and many people since I was a kid, however due to the cost of official diagnosis, it's not something I've obtained. I seem to move around the house and become curious about random objects, like I found this desk with three drawers that open up into mini drawers and got bored so I used a tape measure as a "fishing pole" to catch stuff from the air vent. Why? I seriously don't know. It's quarantine, okay?
When it comes to outdoors stuff, well already pretty obvi I don't go out much HAHAHA
But I'd love to run around randomly if I'm feeling hyper or excited. Sports? Suck at those. Driving in the car with loud music is pretty fun though. I did study abroad as I mentioned before and have a fascination for traveling. I just wish it wasn't so expensive. My trip was to South Korea and it was amazing, I seemed to adjust very quickly and time flew while I was there. If traveling wasn't so pricey, I'd love to see so many more places.
More ideas than I execute. I don't think one statement has ever summed up my life better. It's pretty much all I've been going through. I think of stuff and get extremely energized and hyper from my own mind, think about how cool it would be if I could create it, then I usually get something out and it never continues. Then I do it again and again with other ideas. I've lost track of how many things I've come up with that I've never been able to finish. I wish I could show the world all of these things, but that requires commitment and focus, which are two things I severely lack. I wanted to make something about...

Well actually I'll get to that in another part. And yes I am curious, I always wonder about what we don't know and all it could encompass. I watch a YouTube channel called "Pursuit of Wonder" which talks a lot about philosophy. I enjoy many channels and like discovering new ones. I love how much endless content I can consume on YouTube, even if it means not finishing most of the videos I watch.
A habit I have is flipping through other videos, looking at the titles and thumbnails, while another one plays, then constantly switching through them. It’s like gathering pieces of information from one source, then another, then another, and not all of them have to do with each other, like going from a video about creating buses from horsehair to a Buzzfeed employee wearing stilts. I mentioned how I have an interest in designing these different things, I also sorta dabble in photo editing though I do it on a funkalicious app called PiZap.
I’m particularly a fan of cutting and pasting completely random stuff together, like a bidet with Mickey Mouse legs and a duckling with the body of a pencil flying by. I probably mentioned that at some other point idek. I know I started this post earlier and saved it in a word doc so may be messy.
Sometimes, I’ll correlate my photo edits with the stories I write, other times they’ll be completely random. One of my favorite YouTube channels is Pursuit of Wonder, which publishes a lot of philosophical “omg I’m going to have an existential crisis” content and THOSE are some videos I actually try and get through. I enjoy hearing about different perspectives concerning our universe, life as we know it, hidden universes, etc. It feels like I’m in another world watching these, and it’s lots of fun! I also enjoy videos of people doing goofy stuff in public for reactions, challenges, reaction videos, etc.
I also enjoy listening to music, lots of EDM and pop. I had a phase where I was semi into photography, I bought a cool polaroid camera, then I don’t know what happened. I seem to enjoy and entertain uncertainty, since knowing would imply there's a clear answer and there isn't as much room for imagination. I'd much rather imagine all that's possible than be set on one answer. My environment seems conceptual considering how much I live in my head and idealize things, which also, I could get to in another part I see HAHAH
Leadership position: Okay, Not my cup of responsibilitea. I'm a very lenient person who says. Hey, if you're not hurting yourself or other people, have fun. Enjoy yourself. I'm not a strict and rigid person, which could've been evident from my rebelliousness concerning my very-much-so strict and rigid parents. I'm all about people being treated fairly and I'm also all about understanding them.
I would wanna make sure I don't impose anything too strict on people, as not much bothers me anyway. I did volunteer at a kid's camp when I was 18 and I didn't mind whenever the kids ran around or got excited, it was fun to see, even if the other volunteers seemed angered at their antics. Antics are fun. I would wanna make sure the people I'm leading are enjoying themselves and that they don't have too many restrictions on them
. I'm pretty bad at yelling or being super assertive. I'd also probably want some help with the leadership thingamabobs cause I'm so easily distracted I'm not sure I'd be able to stay on top of things very well. Opening up my own community based around similar interests, however, sounds like an awesome idea and is something I'd be willing to do if I actually had the attention span to maintain it.
Coordinated? Not really. I mean, that could mean many things. Physically coordinated? Mentally? In terms of being a good planner and following through with things? Physically, I could be better. Mentally/planning? Okay, I try to plan stuff when my mind feels like it's about to implode with a million things but it's not like I actually follow it. I end up doing whatever, even the most unexpected things, at any given time. I could write down a ton of stuff in my notebook to help me feel better in the moment and create the illusion that I could make aalllll this stuff happen, and I could start some of it, make that illusion even sweeter, but I never finish. It can be pretty sporadic.
Artistic? Maybe with writing. I can't draw to save my life, though I LOVE appreciating other peoples' art, it's so inspiring and beautiful and cool and communicates such deep messages which is totally awesome. I recently wrote a story about looking at the night sky through a magical telescope which allows you to see movies in the stars but the "movies" are actually representative of the different perspectives of the people looking through the telescope. The lens might shrink or increase in size depending on who's looking through it to tell their scope. Yay lame puns. I threw in a buncha random worlds, the whole message being about how we can all see the same thing so differently, and how there are infinite worldviews out there
. I tinker with random stuff like using a boat paddle as a flower stem which certain sea creatures can touch and form flowers on, beds as laptops (keyboard on the mattress, screen on the headboard) etc. I also wrote a story about a world filled with mirrors, some funkier than others, representing a ton of alternate versions of the main characteworlds she could live in. If predictive text existed above our heads irl, that would be pretty funny.
Past/present/future: I live in many idealistic versions of what the future could be. It helps me distract myself from the mundane reality I live in now. On the bright side, it gives me this seemingly endless optimism that "everything is constantly changing" and there is always potential for things to get better, and we never know what kinda cool things could happen, so it keeps me going. It looks very childish to some people, nonetheless it's always been my view. I never really think about the past. My past wasn't too hawt, but it's over and I don't believe it has an effect on my life anymore. I always look forward, trying to make the best of what could happen someday, entertaining it all.
Something interesting regarding the present/past is I can be having a wonderful, grandiose time and think to myself in that moment, "This is so great! I'll always remember this!" and the next day I'll find myself thinking about a bunch of other stuff and the significance of that moment won't last into the future as much. It could feel so special then but my mind is so constantly distracted that when I look back, I don't feel like I can relive it the same way or recall nearly enough details to do so.
When others request my help? I usually help them, especially if that help involves advice or just talking to them. I sometimes take some time out of my own to do this, but if it's some favor I don't feel like doing, like, I dunno, if they want me to spend 3 hours carrying this 100 pound barrel filled with squid guts and alarm clocks, I'll probably say no. If it's something I don't want to do, and I mean, I'll be polite about it and possibly make up an excuse.
Advice, however, is something I try and give whenever I can. Even though I'm not entirely sure a lot of people see me as the best advice giver just cause most people don't take me very seriously. From the few I do give advice to on a regular basis (or at least, whenever they need it) they've told me it's very insightful and beneficial for them which I think is sweet :3
Logical consistency? I mean, not really, I wouldn't say I need it. I don't know. I don't evaluate what I'm saying or doing for logic. I'll just do certain things for the sake of doing them, although because I am so indecisive and question things a lot, it can look like I want it to make sense, even though I can't tell what "makes sense" nor do I place much emphasis on it. It's confusing. And I contradict myself a lot, needless to say lol.
Efficiency and productivity, I mean, I want to have a good time instead of force myself to get a ton of stuff done. But productivity does feel good, fo sure. I love that feeling when I actually get my mind set on a project and see progress. It's great! I usually like to get things done asap cause of my short attention span so with homework or tasks I find boring/tedious, instead of spending time reading everything word for word and trying to memorize, cause we all know that won't happen, I'll probs gather some general information and put it in a word doc, whip out quizlet if I can and just use ctrl+f. I mean, it still gets done that way. Sometimes i just want them out of the way so I can mentally check them off and move on. Cause nobody likes exhausting homework assignments.
I don't think I control anyone. I can't speak for them, but really, I just. I don't intend to, nor do I care to. I think everyone should be free to do what they want and enjoy it. They don't have to conform to anything. Now, if I'm in a situation where a ton of people are just being genuinely rude, I'll probs feel ehhh cause I don't like that, but taking charge of the situation and yelling at them or trying to discipline them probably isn't my forte. If someone else is doing it, I can backpack along (yeah I'm saying that now) and add some of my input on why they should be nicer or whatever but I'm just not a controlling person.
Hobbies. I mentioned creative writing and why I like that LOL. I like creating photos, like graphic design, just cutting and pasting random stuff together. I'm a total amateur, but I like it for a reason similar to why I love creative writing so much. You can make absolutely whatever you want. Just cut and paste the most random stuff together, like Darth Vader's stretched out head placed on a cantaloupe attached to a sheep with elongated Yoda for legs and it's dipped in a can of cream cheese and pelican beaks. INTERNETTING. You can join endless new communities and find new hobbies, make new friends and have fun.
I tried to pick up piano, ukulele, and the otamatone which is an awesome instrument. I couldn't focus on piano or memorize any notes so that went down the drain, I lost my ukulele and similarly, IDK where I put my otamatone. I was also into learning languages which I may get back to. I know I learned Korean for a year, forget a lot, tried to learn French, Russian, even Japanese. I watched the YT vids and used Duolingo but IDK how long it's been. I even tried dancing, I really wanted to learn k-pop dances at one point and went to one day of lessons and as usual... IDK what happened. And if daydreaming is a hobby, then we've got that going for me too. I also wanna get more into gaming. Really anything with adventure/fantasy would be up my alley.
Learning style? Well, definitely not sitting around and reading boring textbooks. I noticed I learn pretty well from discussion, whether I get to contribute or just hear people talk about something. I like watching sped up YouTube videos, really just that kinda stuff. Also little computer games that help you learn a new concept, something more interactive than just listening to one person talk or reading.
I improvise pretty much everything I do. Whenever I make plans, I end up changing them anyway.
To me, it's important to stay true to what I want to do and be kind to people. I'm against stuff like bullying and seeing people brought down for being who they are and I feel their emotions pretty easily. I'm a sensitive person so I strive to be cool with everyone I meet and maintain a positive atmosphere. It's important to believe in myself. I wish I could instill that hope into other people who doubt themselves or think their dreams are too out of the ordinary to tackle. It's important not to lose that hope and to always have something to be excited about, even if they are just ideas in your mind. They could turn into great feats one day.
Fears? I don't want to be stuck doing the same thing, I don't want to be controlled and trapped. I want to be able to break free. I want to feel good, and that applies to everyone I care about, too. I don't really anticipate negative outcomes, I guess negativity could be a fear itself cause I seem to avoid thinking about it and therefore don’t often feel extremes with sadness or anger. I look forward and move on from Things very quickly. however I acknowledge negativity does exist, tho idk how well, and I hope I can avoid them as much as possible, and even if they do happen, that they can be overcome.
Highs in my life: I'm EXTREMELY hopeful and excited over my own ideas. I'm super high energy and anticipating many amazing things. I'm happy, carefree, and in an overall good mood. I feel like nothing can break me and that everything is constantly evolving. I feel like my energy can never die down.
Lows: I don't remember the last time I actually felt VERY low but it's more... Lower energy, being more quiet, I have the issues I do with focusing so I can get stressed out over the billions of things I want to do and be so scattered I can't stay on one thing for a single second. This is kinda always a thing though, but sometimes, especially when these things involve schoolwork/tasks I don't actually want to perform, it can be more frustrating.
I'll jump between them constantly and procrastinate 24/7/365 while also feeling annoyed and impatient with myself for not doing any of it, then thinking of more and losing focus overall. Emotionally, I mentioned having a sensitive side. So if I get butthurt or offended over what some people said to me, I'll prolly be worried about how they see me and feel bad for a bit, then get over it.
Breaking rules? Yeah, if the rules are just extra. Like, I don't care at all about being late. Time is flexible. Nothing wrong with checking your phone during class, your choice. Little things like that I'm like, psh. I break rules like that all the time. I don't think we need to be super tied to authority. When breaking the rules involves hurting other people, then no, I don't do it.
I change my mind constantly. I don't like being tied to a decision and have trouble seeing which one is the "right" one. I consider all perspectives and can change my mind within seconds if presented with new information, or even just because I thought about it another way. Even when it comes to choosing what to eat, it's just a process of "umm, that, wait no, this, wait no..." and imagine that with everything else. My college major.
What I'll write about, and why my stories always end up so long with so many plots, my type, just everything. I think about the unexpected a lot so I definitely take a lot of variables and perspectives into account, like an unexpected version of a certain type. So it's overall difficult for me to narrow options. I can constantly doubt or think of another side and make my own random explanations like "you could mix this up with this and it could look like this" blah blah blah. just looks like random theories to a lot of peeps
I have caught myself agreeing with others just for the hell of it when I didn't even know what I thought about an issue or if I felt me agreeing didn't discount something I strongly believe. But I'm not gonna sit there and say it's okay to kill people or bully them or something even if everyone else is. That's another story. I don't argue about every disagreement, sometimes I'm like, okay cool. I don’t want people getting triggered at me or causing unnecessary drama I don’t feel like dealing with.
Ideal life: where you can do whatever you please, have fun, and discover new things all the time. Where you're not limited at all and can make your dreams come true! Yay, cheesy again. I'd love a life where I can spread my message, create all kindsa stuff through my writing and designing, put it out there, travel, and just have fun.

Mockingbird X.0

Imagine if there was one desk that all stories could cross so that, at 4am, a media plan could be decided upon and disseminated where all news outlets coordinated to set the goalposts of debate and hyper focused on specific issues to drive a narrative to control how you vote and how you spend money; where Internet shills were given marching orders in tandem to what was shown on television, printed in newspapers and spread throughout articles on the World Wide Web.
https://i.imgur.com/Elnci0M.png
In the past, we had Operation Mockingbird, where the program was supremely confident that it could control stories around the world, even in instructions to cover up any story about a possible “Yeti” sighting, should it turn out they were real.
https://i.imgur.com/121LXqy.png
If, in 1959, the government was confident in its ability to control a story about a Yeti, then what is their level of confidence in controlling stories, today?
https://i.imgur.com/jQFVYew.png
https://i.imgur.com/ZKMYGJj.png
In fact, we have a recent example of a situation similar to the Yeti. When Bill Clinton and Loretta Lynch met on the TARMAC to spike the Hillary email investigation, the FBI was so confident it wasn’t them, that their entire focus was finding the leaker, starting with searching within the local PD. We have documentation that demonstrates the state of mind of the confidence the upper levels of the FBI have when dealing with the media.

The marriage between mainstream media and government is a literal one and this arrangement is perfectly legal.
https://i.imgur.com/OAd4vpf.png
But, this problem extends far beyond politics; the private sector, the scientific community, even advice forums are shilled heavily. People are paid to cause anxiety, recommend people break up and otherwise sow depression and nervousness. This is due to a correlating force that employs “systems psychodynamics”, focusing on “tension centered” strategies to create “organizational paradoxes” by targeting people’s basic assumptions about the world around them to create division and provide distraction.

In this day and age, it is even easier to manage these concepts and push a controlled narrative from a central figure than it has ever been. Allen & Co is a “boutique investment firm” that managed the merger between Disney and Fox and operates as an overseeing force for nearly all media and Internet shill armies, while having it’s fingers in sports, social media, video games, health insurance, etc.

https://i.imgur.com/e5ZvFFJ.png
Former director of the CIA and Paul Brennan’s former superior George Tenet, holds the reigns of Allen & Co. The cast of characters involves a lot of the usual suspects.
https://i.imgur.com/3OlrX7G.png
In 1973, Allen & Company bought a stake in Columbia Pictures. When the business was sold in 1982 to Coca-Cola, it netted a significant profit. Since then, Herbert Allen, Jr. has had a place on Coca-Cola's board of directors.
Since its founding in 1982, the Allen & Company Sun Valley Conference has regularly drawn high-profile attendees such as Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Rupert Murdoch, Barry Diller, Michael Eisner, Oprah Winfrey, Robert Johnson, Andy Grove, Richard Parsons, and Donald Keough.
Allen & Co. was one of ten underwriters for the Google initial public offering in 2004. In 2007, Allen was sole advisor to Activision in its $18 billion merger with Vivendi Games. In 2011, the New York Mets hired Allen & Co. to sell a minority stake of the team. That deal later fell apart. In November 2013, Allen & Co. was one of seven underwriters on the initial public offering of Twitter. Allen & Co. was the adviser of Facebook in its $19 billion acquisition of WhatsApp in February 2014.
In 2015, Allen & Co. was the advisor to Time Warner in its $80 billion 2015 merger with Charter Communications, AOL in its acquisition by Verizon, Centene Corporation in its $6.8 billion acquisition of Health Net, and eBay in its separation from PayPal.
In 2016, Allen & Co was the lead advisor to Time Warner in its $108 billion acquisition by AT&T, LinkedIn for its merger talks with Microsoft, Walmart in its $3.3 billion purchase of Jet.com, and Verizon in its $4.8 billion acquisition of Yahoo!. In 2017, Allen & Co. was the advisor to Chewy.com in PetSmart’s $3.35 billion purchase of the online retailer.
Allen & Co throws the Sun Valley Conference every year where you get a glimpse of who sows up. Harvey Weinstein, though a past visitor, was not invited last year.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allen_%26_Company_Sun_Valley_Conference
Previous conference guests have included Bill and Melinda Gates, Warren and Susan Buffett, Tony Blair, Google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin, Allen alumnus and former Philippine Senator Mar Roxas, Google Chairman Eric Schmidt, Quicken Loans Founder & Chairman Dan Gilbert, Yahoo! co-founder Jerry Yang, financier George Soros, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, Media Mogul Rupert Murdoch, eBay CEO Meg Whitman, BET founder Robert Johnson, Time Warner Chairman Richard Parsons, Nike founder and chairman Phil Knight, Dell founder and CEO Michael Dell, NBA player LeBron James, Professor and Entrepreneur Sebastian Thrun, Governor Chris Christie, entertainer Dan Chandler, Katharine Graham of The Washington Post, Diane Sawyer, InterActiveCorp Chairman Barry Diller, Linkedin co-founder Reid Hoffman, entrepreneur Wences Casares, EXOR and FCA Chairman John Elkann, Sandro Salsano from Salsano Group, and Washington Post CEO Donald E. Graham, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, and Oprah Winfrey.
https://i.imgur.com/VZ0OtFa.png
George Tenet, with the reigns of Allen & Co in his hands, is able to single-handedly steer the entire Mockingbird apparatus from cable television to video games to Internet shills from a singular location determining the spectrum of allowable debate. Not only are they able to target people’s conscious psychology, they can target people’s endocrine systems with food and pornography; where people are unaware, on a conscious level, of how their moods and behavior are being manipulated.
https://i.imgur.com/mA3MzTB.png
"The problem with George Tenet is that he doesn't seem to care to get his facts straight. He is not meticulous. He is willing to make up stories that suit his purposes and to suppress information that does not."
"Sadly but fittingly, 'At the Center of the Storm' is likely to remind us that sometimes what lies at the center of a storm is a deafening silence."
https://i.imgur.com/YHMJnnP.png
Tenet joined President-elect Bill Clinton's national security transition team in November 1992. Clinton appointed Tenet Senior Director for Intelligence Programs at the National Security Council, where he served from 1993 to 1995. Tenet was appointed Deputy Director of Central Intelligence in July 1995. Tenet held the position as the DCI from July 1997 to July 2004. Citing "personal reasons," Tenet submitted his resignation to President Bush on June 3, 2004. Tenet said his resignation "was a personal decision and had only one basis—in fact, the well-being of my wonderful family—nothing more and nothing less. In February 2008, he became a managing director at investment bank Allen & Company.

We have the documentation that demonstrates what these people could possibly be doing with all of these tools of manipulation at their fingertips.
The term for it is “covert political action” for which all media put before your eyes is used to serve as a veneer… a reality TV show facade of a darker modus operandum.

It is now clear that we are facing an implacable enemy whose avowed objective is world domination by whatever means and at whatever costs. There are no rules in such a game. Hitherto acceptable norms of human conduct do not apply. If the US is to survive, longstanding American concepts of "fair play" must be reconsidered. We must develop effective espionage and counterespionage services and must learn to subvert, sabotage and destroy our enemies by more clever, more sophisticated means than those used against us. It may become necessary that the American people be made acquainted with, understand and support this fundamentally repugnant philosophy.

Intelligence historian Jeffrey T. Richelson says the S.A. has covered a variety of missions. The group, which recently was reorganized, has had about 200 officers, divided among several groups: the Special Operations Group; the Foreign Training Group, which trains foreign police and intelligence officers; the Propaganda and Political Action Group, which handles disinformation; the Computer Operations Group, which handles information warfare; and the Proprietary Management Staff, which manages whatever companies the CIA sets up as covers for the S.A.
Scientology as a CIA Political Action Group – “It is a continuing arrangement…”: https://mikemcclaughry.wordpress.com/2015/08/25/scientology-as-a-cia-political-action-group-it-is-a-continuing-arrangement/
…Those operations we inaugurated in the years 1955-7 are still secret, but, for present purposes, I can say all that’s worth saying about them in a few sentences – after, that is, I offer these few words of wisdom. The ‘perfect’ political action operation is, by definition, uneventful. Nothing ‘happens’ in it. It is a continuing arrangement, neither a process nor a series of actions proceeding at a starting point and ending with a conclusion.

When you consider the number of forces that can be contained within a single “political action group” in the form on a “boutique investment firm,” where all sides of political arguments are predetermined by a selected group of actors who have been planted, compromised or leveraged in some way in order to control the way they spin their message.
https://i.imgur.com/tU4MD4S.png
The evidence of this coordinated effort is overwhelming and the “consensus” that you see on TV, in sports, in Hollywood, in the news and on the Internet is fabricated.
Under the guise of a fake account a posting is made which looks legitimate and is towards the truth is made - but the critical point is that it has a VERY WEAK PREMISE without substantive proof to back the posting. Once this is done then under alternative fake accounts a very strong position in your favour is slowly introduced over the life of the posting. It is IMPERATIVE that both sides are initially presented, so the uninformed reader cannot determine which side is the truth. As postings and replies are made the stronger 'evidence' or disinformation in your favour is slowly 'seeded in.'
Thus the uninformed reader will most likely develop the same position as you, and if their position is against you their opposition to your posting will be most likely dropped. However in some cases where the forum members are highly educated and can counter your disinformation with real facts and linked postings, you can then 'abort' the consensus cracking by initiating a 'forum slide.'
When you find yourself feeling like common sense and common courtesy aren’t as common as they ought to be, it is because there is a massive psychological operation controlled from the top down to ensure that as many people as possible are caught in a “tension based” mental loop that is inflicted on them by people acting with purpose to achieve goals that are not in the interest of the general population, but a method of operating in secret and corrupt manner without consequences.
Notice that Jeffrey Katzenberg, of Disney, who is intertwined with Allen & Co funds the Young Turks. He is the perfect example of the relationship between media and politics.
Katzenberg has also been involved in politics. With his active support of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, he was called "one of Hollywood's premier political kingmakers and one of the Democratic Party's top national fundraisers."
With cash from Jeffrey Katzenberg, The Young Turks looks to grow paid subscribers:

Last week, former DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg’s new mobile entertainment company WndrCo was part of a $20 million funding round in TYT Network, which oversees 30 news and commentary shows covering politics, pop culture, sports and more. This includes the flagship “The Young Turks” program that streams live on YouTube every day. Other investors in the round included venture capital firms Greycroft Partners, E.ventures and 3L Capital, which led the round. This brings total funding for Young Turks to $24 million.
How Hollywood's Political Donors Are Changing Strategies for the Trump Era:

Hollywood activism long has been depicted as a club controlled by a handful of powerful white men: Katzenberg, Spielberg, Lear, David Geffen, Haim Saban and Bob Iger are the names most often mentioned. But a new generation of power brokers is ascendant, including J.J. Abrams and his wife, Katie McGrath, cited for their personal donations and bundling skills; Shonda Rhimes, who held a get-out-the-vote rally at USC's Galen Center on Sept. 28 that drew 10,000 people; CAA's Darnell Strom, who has hosted events for Nevada congresswoman Jacky Rosen and Arizona congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema; and former Spotify executive Troy Carter, who held three fundraisers for Maryland gubernatorial candidate Ben Jealous (Carter also was a fundraiser for President Obama).
Soros Group Buys Viacom's DreamWorks Film Library:

Viacom, after splitting off from Les Moonves Les Moonves ' CBS , still holds Paramount Pictures, and that movie studio in December agreed to acquire DreamWorks SKG, the creative shop founded by the Hollywood triumvirate of Steven Spielberg, David Geffen and Jeffrey Katzenberg (a former exec at The Walt Disney Co.). DreamWorks Animation had been spun off into a separate company.
Now it's time for Freston to make back some money--and who better to do a little business with than George Soros? The billionaire financier leads a consortium of Soros Strategic Partners LP and Dune Entertainment II LLC, which together are buying the DreamWorks library--a collection of 59 flicks, including Saving Private Ryan, Gladiator, and American Beauty.
The money you spend on media and junk food and in taxes goes to these groups who then decide how best to market at you so that they decide how you vote by creating a fake consensus to trick into thinking that you want something other than what is best for you; but will inevitably result in more money being funneled to the top, creating further separation between the super rich and the average person. The goal will be to assert creeping authoritarianism by generating outrage against policies and issues they hate. Part of manipulating your basic assumptions is also to use schadenfreude (think canned laughter on TV) against characters who support the cause that might actually do you the most good (which reaffirms and strengthens your confirmation biased along predetermined political lines).
https://i.imgur.com/PW1cRtj.png
We have a population being taught to hate socialism and love capitalism when the truth is no country is practicing either. These terms are merely disguises for political oligarchies where the collection of wealth is less about getting themselves rich and more about keeping everyone else poor.
What can you guess about the world around you if it turned out that every consensus that was forced on you was fake?
How much money would it take to make it look like 51% of the Internet believed in completely idiotic ideas? Combine shill operations with automation and AI’s, and the cost becomes a good investment relative to the return when measured in political power.
Even the people who are well intentioned and very vocal do not have to consciously be aware that they are working for a political action group. A covert political group will always prefer an unwitting tool to help push their agenda, so that they can remain in the shadows.

TOP SECRET SPECIAL HANDLING NOFORN
CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE AGENCY
Directorate of Operations
October 16, 1964
MEMORANDUM FOR THE DIRECTOR OF THE CIA
Subject: After action report of
Operation CUCKOO (TS)
INTRODUCTION

1) Operation CUCKOO was part of the overall operation CLEANSWEEP, aimed at eliminating domestic opposition to activities undertaken by the Central Intelligence Agency's special activities division, in main regard to operation GUILLOTINE.

2) Operation CUCKOO was approved by the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Department of Defense and the office of The President of the United States as a covert domestic action to be under taken within the limits of Washington D.C as outlined by Secret Executive Order 37.

3) Following the publishing of the Warren Commission, former special agent Mary Pinchot Meyer (Operation MOCKINGBIRD, Operation SIREN) also was married to Cord Meyer (Operation MOCKINGBIRD, Operation GUILLOTINE) threatened to disclose the details of several Special Activities Divisions' operations, including but not limited to, Operation SIREN and GUILLOTENE.
1
TOP SECRET SPECIAL HANDLING NOFORN
4) It was deemed necessary by senior Directorate of Operations members to initiate Operation CUCKOO as an extension of Operation CLEANSWEEP on November 30th. After Mary Pinchot Meyer threatened to report her knowledge of Operation GUILLOTENE and the details of her work in Operation SIREN from her affair with the former President.

5) Special Activities Division was given the green light after briefing president Johnson on the situation. The situation report was forwarded to the Department of Defense and the Joint Chiefs of staff, who both approved of the parameters of the operation, as outlined under article C of secret executive order 37 (see attached copy of article).
PLANNING STAGES
6) 8 members of the special activities division handpicked by operation lead William King Harvey began planning for the operation on October 3rd, with planned execution before October 16th.

7) The (?) of the operation was set as the neighborhood of Georgetown along the Potomac river, where the operators would observe, take note on routines, and eventually carry the operation.

8) After nothing Meyer's routines, Edward "Eddy" Reid was picked as the operation point man who would intersect Meyer on her walk on October 12th, with lead William King Harvey providing long range support if necessary from across the Chesapeake and Ohio canal (see illustration A for detailed map).

9) Edward Reid was planned to be dressed in the manner of a homeless black man, due to his resemblances to local trash collector (later found out to be Raymond Crump) who inhabits the AO and the path that Reid was planned to intersect Meyer.

BitLife Concepts (more ideas added!!!)

I have a few (by few I mean a lot) suggestions for the BitLife devs to make the game even better (not trying to disrespect tho).
(Before I start beware because I am Australian so I have different spelling.)
EDIT: After typing this whole thing I would like to say that all these ideas (should) be singular updates based on the amount of coding it takes to do the whole thing. BTW THIS IS REALLY LONG. EDIT 2: I started writing this before Ex-Lovers came out so just bear in mind if you see a thing that seems out of context.
u/BitLifeApp
Extra Ribbons: Tamer, Sick, Daredevil
Entrepreneurial Update: This could be a whole update itself just because of how big the concept is. It’s essentially where you run a business selling merchandise (e.g clothes, cosmetic products, toys). To advertise* your business you would have to get a major in Business (or is it Finance???) in University. *By advertise I mean popularly advertise. Otherwise you could run it online or buy a property to place the store. If you own a store you could hire workers, and pay wage to them monthly. The less amount of workers you have, the more stressed you become. There should also be a option to make a social media account for your business and promote it there. This can also result in fame! Amount of money made will be based on sales throughout the year. If you make it big, you could own several chains throughout that city and eventually across your country! Hand make items or invest in companies. This business could be fast food or retail. If Retail: Have options like Study Trends and then based on that make seasonal clothing? New Ribbon: Businessman
Obviously this will take a long time to develop and I’m not saying I desperately need it. But I think you should make the basic part of the idea first in one update then add the social media part in another update. I would recommend not to begin working on it now since the Part-Time Jobs Update was just so recent. But I would love to see this in the future!
Friends! I know this has been one of the most requested updates in BitLife history but I think we need it! It’s a little bit unrealistic to have no friends. I think Friends would go well with Enemies so that might be a cool thing to add to the game. Say a scenario “While at the Library, you see a girl who looks nice. And instead of the options: Don’t Talk To Her and Ask Her On A Date, add a third and fourth option like: Befriend Her, or Rudely Introduce Yourself. Also when having a relationship that you want to break up, let there be an option: Ask to just be friends. You can have BFFS, Good Friends, Friends, Enemy and Arch Nemeses. The types of interactions with friends could be: Go To Movies, Eat OutTogether, Friendly Compliment, Conversation, Spend Time With, Short-Term Arguments (because friends do that) and Insult. Enemy interactions would be “Insult, Argue, Assault/Spar?, Spread Rumours About etc. Also with this update I would love to see Group hangouts. So like form a group of friends would be nice. Also textual context like: “in your friend group, Jessica was badmouthing you to Rachel, what do you do?”. Hanging out at the movies, going shopping, and going to the salon together are things that groups could do. You can become leader of the group, or pose as leader of the group. Leaders can kick/add people in/out of the group. Posers can be badmouthed and kicked out themselves. New Ribbon(s): Villain, Trustworthy
Try Your Luck Casino Update! (title pending). This update would include more casino options! Like Slots, Poker, Baccarat (others (I’m not really sure)). The Try Your Luck Casino Update is about betting more and winning more! Because the highest bet is 10mil I think it has the potential to go up to 15mil. I would also like to see in this update sometimes a text saying “Try Your Luck Night! Earn double winnings at the casino and double losings as well!” That’s why it’s a Try Your Luck Update. This could just be a minor update here and there if content is slowing (like making a big update like the entrepreneurial one). (EDIT: As this is a small update I may add one more thing. The dating app fix. Whenever you don’t want to date someone on the dating app, add a swipe button instead of manually going out hen back on.)
EMOJI CUSTOMISATION! I saw on Twitter the reply BitLife sent saying that this is in the works for the future but I know it may take a while. So I might just address the subject as is. I’m trying not to sound like a spoilt brat when I say this but: I would personally like to customise Hair Look, Hair Colour, Eye Look, Mouth Look, And Skin Tone. I’m still not sure what they’ll do for Child Look, Toddler Look, And Adult Look and how to customise all three. I pray to the BitLife gods that there won’t be the 1.18 update bug (iOS); the genealogy bug. I don’t want to customise my person and implant them in my game and have my parents have the complete opposite skin tone to my person. So I hope they’ll get that sorted out. Also I would like there to be sort of a gallery (if you will) of all the looks you’ve made so far and a recommended look.
For the BitLife devs it may seem like a small update; but to the Bitizens it is a huge deal! Try your best to get this out as soon as possible!!!
School/University Overhaul Update! This wouldn’t be the title of course. But I would like to see a lot of things in this update! Firstly, Grade Reports. Track how well you’re doing that semester and it will tell you if you need to study more! Like say “You’re failing at Math” you’d have the choice to study only on Math, work simultaneously on all subjects, or change nothing about the way you study. Secondly, Status. You know what’s up, the cliques in the school. Jocks, Mean Girls, Cheerleaders, Bullies, Class Clown, Class President, Nerds and the worst of all: Teacher’s Pet. Based on Smarts, Looks And Happiness can determine where you stand among your fellow classmates. If you assault someone in elementary school, bully. Insult someone at your school; mean girl. Join the chess club; nerd (probably). Bring the teacher an Apple; teacher’s pet. Embarrass yourself during a presentation; Class Clown. Thirdly, Clubs (Aftebefore school). Things like Choir, Chess Club, Drama, Rock Band, Concert Band, Strings Orchestra, Model UN. This also could determine status. Also I would like to see how stressed you are DURING school. I would also like more University Majors: Agriculture, Physical Education (I.E Human Development), Business Management (works well with Entrepreneurial Update Idea) and finally Natural Sciences. That’s what I would like to see in this update. New Ribbon: Overachiever
Step-Parents & Family Fixes: No matter if we love or hate them, they are realistic and should be implanted into the game. If it says “My father is unknown” there should be an opportunity for my mum to marry another man. If you are a toddler it will just pop up in the journal. But at age 8+ there should be an option where your mum asks you if it would be okay to marry another man/woman. Step-Parents can bully you or abuse you, or the opposite. You could also have step-Siblings or half-Siblings if they decide to have a child! More things I want in this update as extra perks are twins of different genders. Like one boy and one girl. It’s pretty weird how I have triplets and they’re al girls. Also I want Uncles, Aunts and Grandparents/Great Grandparents (if they’re still alive). There should be an extended family tab like the exes tab and have Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, Grandparents etc.
Ok, so we got Ex-Lovers. But can we please get Side Lovers! I want a scandal, I want to be bad. There should be a feature on Ex-Fling that says something like “Talk to her and keep it a secret” or I don’t know (I don’t know how to word it correctly). Or a hook-up with Ex-Boyfriend. Having a Mistress should be a hard job. There should be a mini game when the Mistress is in the home and your wifey comes home and you have to try and hide them. Around the house maybe? I don’t think I really need to go in depth anymore. New Ribbon: Cheater
Tough Life Update: It’s pretty unrealistic in BitLife, that I’m 40; I live with my Wife, Parents, Nieces/Nephews, and Children. There should be in the journal something like “My parents moved into their retirement home and inherited the family home to you. You Keep It, Sell It Or Turn It Down. This update is also called Tough Life because maybe a new feature could be added like: Your parent kicked you out of your home after High School. Maybe you would have to afford a little apartment to get by in. It would make things seem a little less confusing in that sense. I’m really uncertain about this one so if anyone has anymore ideas on it please don’t hesitate to tell me! New Ribbon: Superman/Suoerwoman
Job Overhaul. I think that after you go to University or Vet School or Med School or whatever. It would have specifically recommended jobs that refer to the course that you took. It would make things so much easier than being rejected from jobs left right and centre and it doesn’t even say “not qualified”. Also I would like jobs like Dolphin Trainer, Zookeeper, Video Producer. We really need more freelance jobs. But maybe a freelance job as your full-time job. Like Freelance Painter as a job title. Where you can look at a list of gigs and take some and earn money. Sort of like the Sims (after all, they are both life simulators.).Finally, in this update I would like to see MORE. JOB. INTERACTIONS. Maybe options like “Slack Off, Flirt With Co-Workers, Ditch Work/School and more things like that. I hate how in School there is only the option to Study Harder.
I think there should just be a clean up update of the game. Just add things to make BitLife a little more better. But this has nothing to do with the content within the game. Anyways, I would love to see Game Saves. We need them. Because I want to do a legacy, but every now and then when a new update comes out there’s always (usually) a challenge that comes with it. Like becoming Famous, or the 100 Ex Lover Challenge. But you can’t really do that in a Legacy. It just makes the game go from Awesome to Super Awesome. And we need Accounts. Accounts are something I feel we need because if I play BitLife on my iPad and iPhone I want to be able to access all my lives. This would especially go well with game saves. EDIT: As a side note, the accounts wouldn’t cross over Android and iOS (sadly).
EDIT (15 July):
The new update just dropped with a bunch of new military, family and other content. I love this update and I think the military side is such a good upgrade to what was previous. I just have a slight problem. They got rid of the Try For Baby option. The birth control and the make love is smart, but maybe I suggest adding a “Discuss Having A Baby” option. If your S/O refuses, you can apologise, ridicule, insult or assault? And if they say they are ready, either Try For Baby or refuse.
I’m not trying to hate on BitLife, it’s just that there’s so much more potential in it.
What do you think? I always come back to edit!

Concepts and Ideas!

I have a few (by few I mean a lot) suggestions for the BitLife devs to make the game even better (not trying to disrespect tho).
Sorry if you keep seeing this post it’s just I want to get my ideas across!
(Before I start beware because I am Australian so I have different spelling.)
EDIT 1: I started writing this before Ex-Lovers came out so just bear in mind if you see a thing that seems out of context.
u/BitLifeApp
New Ribbon: Cheater. Also I would like to see Polygamous Relationships or Concubines!
New Ribbon: Superman/superwoman
Crime Options: So it’s already been said that Prison Life is the main focus, I’m not sure if that means more crime options, but if it isn’t; here are some ideas for the next update. Robbing A Bank, with guards chasing you! Or robbing a Museum and there’s like a special item in each corner? You can be kidnapped (thanks to the fame update) but you cannot kidnap others. I think more crime options serves more reality to the game. And also, shoplifting!
I’m not trying to demand features from BitLife, it’s just I think they would amp Up the game.
What do you think? I always come back to edit!

So you're going to London to watch the Yankees. A novel, by Jackpot777.

Warning. Great Wall Of Text ahead.
So you've decided to head across the Pond to London for the two game series at the end of June. You're an absolute legend, following your team across an ocean, and we should have a suitcase statue in Monument Park for dedicated people like your good self.
The only problem is, you don't know what you're going to do with yourself. Maybe you already have a game ticket, maybe you're hoping to snag one outside the stadium in the Stratford area of London, maybe you just want to visit London and having the Yankees there gives you an excuse to check things out. But all you have right now is a vague notion that you want to make a memory of a lifetime and the clock is ticking.
You don't want to stick out like a newbie. Thankfully, you've got an old pro helping you out. Fifteen years working on the railway, including working at Kings Cross and St. Pancras stations, and a thorough love of finding out the best way to do anything quick and cheap and easy. Jackpot777 at your service with a brain full of London.
I've broken this down into sections with bold headers. Look for what you need to know, get prepped, get excited… let's shag it, people. Oh, and I'm using a hotel that one person is actually staying at as my examples. Thanks to Fantasysage for that. I already gave him four musical things to find in his own area, four pieces of musical rock & roll history that would take just a short afternoon to do, but if you're near Leicester Square / Piccadilly Circus / Oxford Street and you love music you can check out those yourself too by reading this from my announcement thread.
Yada yada yada, here we go. And apologies for mentioning the iPhone a lot, the examples I'm giving use it because that's what I have.

Getting over there. What do you mean you're waiting for inspiration?

First off, a saying that'll make it sound like you backpacked around the world since you were two months old and this is the norm for you. The best time to book your tickets was four months ago. The second best time is right now.
As we get closer to the date, the less likely you are of getting a flight on the cheap. Even closer still, you're not likely to get a seat at any price. Get onto Kayak or Travelocity and book the flight. Now. Read this section first, book your flights, then come back and read the rest. You're flying to London in summer, you're coming back to America around the 4th of July when SO MANY PEOPLE plan to come back, so if you can go for ten days and return when most of the firework displays and family shindigs are happening you'll save an absolute packet.
Airport time.
If you're able to go from JFK (you may have noticed that every passenger airport in the world has a three letter code), those are probably the cheapest flights. London to JFK is like a cheap pipeline with airlines competing for your money. After that, flights are relatively cheap from Newark (EWR). All those flights will get you either to Heathrow (LHR) which is technically within the London Zones area or London Gatwick (LGW) which is just south (more on those Zones in the TfL section). Right now, round trip flights are around $600 but prices might even creep up if enough of you keep searching for the same dates and same routes. It's all supply and demand, so searching can raise the price. Be wary of that.
If you're in upstate New York or you're a RailRiders fan in the Scranton area, one cheap option is to fly from Stewart (SWF) with a connecting flight at Dublin to London Stansted (STN) which is east of London or London Luton (LTN) which is north of London. That will cost a little more than the previous options, but it's a lot cheaper than flying out of Wilkes-Barre Scranton (AVP) and changing at Detroit or Charlotte or Philly. Drive up I-84 as if you're going to Poughkeepsie for 90 minutes and you're there.
Think of those outside-of-London-Zones airports as being like Newark, by the way. Technically not in the city, not even in the same county, but a short ride on public transport to the middle of everything.
If you can wiggle your departure and return dates, especially because there are going to be a LOT of people wanting to visit family for the 4th or (more probably) the Saturday after when all the fireworks displays are, I heartily recommend it. Use the functions on the websites to compare prices and book accordingly. Here's an example from Kayak of a RailRiders / Yankees fan going on that flight via Dublin and then arriving in either the county of Essex or Bedfordshire (Stansted and Luton airports respectively) and coming back around the 4th. It's actually cheaper to fly back ON the 4th because most people don't want to split the actual holiday with a day of travel. And coming back to surprise the family on the 6th is where the dollars pile up. The tools are available on the travel booking sites. Use them. Figure out of staying an extra day actually saves more than you'd earn working.
OK. You got your flight. Now you want to think about a hotel room or something. Where in London should you stay?
This is a very simplified Tube (the subway system is called the London Underground but locals all call it The Tube) map of central London. There are also above-ground trains run by rail companies, and bus routes, but I'm keeping it simple here. The more astute of you might notice there's a shape to central London that looks like a milk or stubby beer bottle on its side with the yellow line. When the games happen, the stadium is going to be a bit further off to the right of this map, so if you want to still be in the middle of things for the touristy stuff but still have a short-ish journey time to the London Stadium, I recommend staying to the middle or right hand side of this milk bottle based on what your nearest Tube station is.
A more complex version: the British equivalent to Zip Code +4 (the bit across the Gerard Avenue from Yankee Stadium is in the Bronx area of 10452, and the offices at 901 Gerard Avenue are 10452-9992) is called a post code. With the London Stadium, site of the two games, the post code area is E20 (for East London region 20) and the part of "East 20" that has the stadium is 2ST, so their version of the Zip+4 is E20 2ST. Just as with 10452-9992 where the important part is the 10452 bit, the important bit of E20 2ST is the E20 bit. London East postal district 20. So you want to be more in the east than the west, and E20 is in the north part of east London so north of the River Thames is preferable to south. Anywhere with a Central (EC or WC number) is still good. Other places outside of London get postcodes based on a nearby big city (like LS for Leeds of M for Manchester) or the nearest large town (LU for Luton Airport because Luton's the biggest town in the area or CM for Stansted because Chelmsford is the big nearby urban area) but London is big like New York so it gets North and West Central and -- you know what? I'm getting sidetracked. With London post codes, east rather than west and north rather than south for accommodation.
In Fantasysage's case, he's staying in a hotel in W1. Didn't I say east rather than west? I did, but his area of W1D (West 1 D) is right on the border, two minute walk away, from WC2H (West Central 2 H). He got a great deal in Soho just north of Chinatown, close to the lights of Piccadilly Circus (it's like Times Square, there's even an M&M Store nearby but don't go to London just to visit that) in a hotel with great review scores. NW1, W1, and SW1 postcodes are good areas because they're basically joined to the Central codes.
And yes, like with the 212 area code and Zip Code snobbery here, the same thing exists in London too. East End boys and West End girls, as the Pet Shop Boys once sang about. It's good to know a bit about that so you stay in a good area, just like any big city.
This is a lot and we've only just got the flight and hotel room booked. Now what?

Prepare to hit the ground running before you get there. Your smartphone helps SO much (even with no connection)

You probably know that your Verizon or AT&T plan isn't going to just transpose over to a UK network. AT&T has a deal where you can pay $10 a day to use your phone in London, and you're only charged for the day you use it like a traditional cellphone for example, but be aware that your data limit per month is still the same. Personally, I like traveling over there and leaving my iPhone in Airplane Mode so it doesn't ping cellphone towers and you don't inadvertently run up a horrendous bill. What good is that? Well, like in any big city, there's free WiFi all over the place. Fast food places or Starbucks, in your hotel room, some areas of London provide free connection like the N1C area of Kings Cross because Google have an office there (so that means anywhere with a postcode beginning with N1C just became very desirable). There are black phone boxes that are hotspots.
You can arrange to communicate via Facebook Messenger or Skype or iMessage and FaceTime (video or just audio) on an Apple device. If there's some reason for you to remain connected with someone back in the US of A, agree on the method, download the relevant apps, and try it out before you travel to make sure it works for you.
Some people swear by getting a region-specific pre-paid SIM card and popping that in the phone for their stay. It's cheaper than the AT&T option I mentioned earlier: an O2 provider card giving 8GB of data with 2,000 talk minutes and 5,000 texts for a whole month costs less than $30 and you don't have to worry about looking for a WiFi signal. But, like your mother says, put the WiFi on when you get home so you're not eating up all that data watching Fortnite flossing videos or whatever it is you kids do. Get off my lawn.
Apps. By the GODS, there are some great ones. The best one I can recommend is CityMapper for Apple or Android. Every decent travel website and YouTube travel video urges you to get it, and I agree. I used it in London and Paris last year, planned journeys before I got there, and if you're connected to WiFi or decided to connect with the SIM card you bought it'll update travel info in real time.
If you use Google Maps, you can download areas and access them offline. I still have a HUGE area of London saved on my phone and it takes up less than 100MB of space because it's just vectors, just colored lines and a font or two. You don't need a cellphone signal to use them because your phone navigates via orbiting GPS satellites and that uses 0% of your data or cellphone signal. And like any Google map, you can pinch and zoom and search in that area as if you were online.
Also remember that you can store PDFs and other documents on your phone. If you save a PDF map of the entire Tube system, an iPhone puts it in your iBooks. You can store all types of maps that can be enlarged for details in there. In fact, here's a link to one of those maps now. Save it to your iBooks or whatever the other phone equivalents are.
Just take another look at that bigger map. You can still see the milk bottle on its side in the middle, in Zone 1. And you can see the other Zones spreading out like concentric ripples. The Tube lines are color coordinated: the Central Line is always red, the Northern Line is always black, the Piccadilly is always dark blue and the Victoria is light blue.
Now would be a good time to start with how to get around.

Transport for London. That's what TfL stands for.

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT ANY AIRPORT EXPRESS TRAIN OPTION. You may see the Gatwick Express can get you to London Victoria in 30 minutes, or the Heathrow Express can get you to London Paddington in 15 minutes or 20 minutes if it’s Terminal 5. And they can. But unless you are specifically going from that airport and your nearest station to your accommodation is the relevant London location, these options are a waste of money. A journey from Heathrow Terminal 5 to Green Park by conventional Underground takes 50 minutes and costs under £15 for that and all your other public transport for the day. The same journey involving the super fast train to Paddington and then changing for the Bakerloo (Brown) and Jubilee (Silver) lines takes two minutes longer and just the Heathrow Express part alone costs £22.00.
You may think about getting a cab from Heathrow to your hotel. It’s £65 one way, almost $85. Don’t be a dozy pillock, that’s the kind of money you could be spending on beer.
You may be thinking of a hire car for the week. Don’t be an even more dozy pillock. Cost of fuel? Parking? Steering wheel on the other side of the car? All the other cars on the other side of your car? Road signs you don’t understand? Road markings that mean you’re not allowed to pull into this intersection, do you know what they look like? Rush hour in a city with nine million residents and millions more commuting in and out, plus a few million more tourists? Good luck with that idea, you’re having a laugh mate. Stick to the buses and tube and trains.
WHEN USING THE ESCALATORS, ALWAYS STAND TO THE RIGHT AND WALK ON THE LEFT. One station tried changing the system for six months in 2016. It nearly led to an overthrow of society as we know it. When someone comes out of their own Personal Tube Bubble to call something a “fresh hell”, you know the system has failed! The experiment was scrapped because, and I am not making this up, it “goes against everything about being British”. Someone else said it went against etiquette and “there was always the danger of people thinking they could stand on the left at other Tube stations - can you imagine?” which is possibly the most British thing I’ve ever heard.
You have all your travel pre-paid before you even fly out, if you have one of the following:
This is because Transport for London (TfL) has been rolling out contactless pay for seven years now. Buses in late 2012, and the rest of the network in 2014. All these things contain a standard type of chip that deals with the payments.
HOWEVER - some people reported problems with trying to use a non-UK card payment to jaunt around. There is a card you can get specially as a travel smartcard. It's called the Oyster Card and there are two types. You can either buy one when you get to London, it's the standard blue one… but I recommend getting the one only Visitors from other nations can get, the Visitor Oyster Card. It makes for a nice souvenir, and you can pay for it with an amount preloaded onto it. That way, you arrive in London and head straight for the public transport, press the card on the sensor and it starts deducting your fares. And there are a few perks with the Visitor version …for example, if you spend £5 ($6.50) in the Beatles Store near Baker Street tube station and show a Visitor Oyster Card, you get a free gift. 15% off your purchase at M&M World. Alright. I give in. Go to the M&M store for half an hour. Treat yo self.
Currency. Forgot about currency. One pound, £1, will cost you around $1.30 or so. The exchange rate fluctuates but right now it's around that. Something costs £10, that's around $13. A Big Mac in a McDonalds (if you must) is £2.69 (that's $3.49, which is actually cheaper than what it costs over here). Something £10 is $13, £50 is $65. Add a third on top to any British price to get a close conversion to how much that is in dollars. And there's very little tipping for service, it's a cultural difference. Visa and MasterCard are accepted everywhere too, but call your card issuer on their number on the back of your card to tell them when you’ll be in London. That way your account won’t be frozen for suspicious transactions when you’re 3,500 miles from home. ApplePay and SamsungPay and GooglePay too because they use the same chips as the cards and it all links back to Visa and MasterCard anyway... those contactless payment terminals are everywhere. I paid for a pub meal in Hertfordshire (just north of London) last year using my iPhone 8 because I have my LLBean Visa card stored as a method of payment. Used it to buy pre-packed sandwiches and a bottle of water at a pharmacy (Boots Pharmacy, the UK version of CVS).
Just don’t expect anyone to take dollars. Any shop that does will give a lousy rate of return. Get maybe £150 in cash for the week for small transactions like buying beers but do most stuff on credit card. Payment protected, and you get the best rate of return. If you have to exchange dollar bills into Pound banknotes and coins over there, go into a high street bank or building society (they’re a little like credit unions, you could say) and ask if they exchange foreign currencies. The exchange rate is better than at a street “Bureau de Change”.
ATMs are everywhere. The locals call them “cash machines” (like the Hard Fi song) or “hole in the wall” (like the eleventh pub’s name in The World’s End). Your bank may charge an additional fee or you may have an account that waives ATM transaction fees worldwide. Ask at your local bank.
That’s money dealt with.
Back to travel. Going back to that large map, and see London and its Zones. Most of the tourist stuff are in Zones 1 and 2. The stadium is near Stratford and Stratford International stations to the east (E20, remember) in Zone 3 and is served by above ground trains and the Central (red) line of the Tube. Heathrow is in Zone 6 on that dark blue (Piccadilly) line to the bottom left in South West London. Gatwick is out of the Zones and is mentioned at the bottom of the map.
When you travel, there is a maximum you will be charged. Once you reach that Daily Cap, every trip after that is effectively free. And the price depends on what Zones you use. The further you travel, the larger the cap for that day. This man suggests buying the Oyster Card in London. You don’t get the shopping perks but you can surrender the hardware on a standard card at the end of your trip and get the £5 fee back, and maybe just load £15 onto it for the first day and then top it up on a regular basis during your stay. And as you see, everyone stares at their phones and has earphones in too. If you do that, you can check your travel plans on your smartphone screen and nobody needs to know you’re a tourist.
If you travel via Heathrow Airport in Zone 6 into the middle of the sideways milk bottle in Zone 1, the most you can charged for that day, Zone 1 to Zone 6, is £12.80.
So let's imagine that day you arrive. You arrive early on a weekday morning on that red eye flight from JFK and start travel before 0930 because you got a flight arriving dead early, and you take the Piccadilly Line regular tube service and get off at Piccadilly Circus station so that's £5.10 charged (your hotel is in the middle of Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square, and Oxford Circus and the app said that's the shortest walking route). Get to your hotel and they say you can check in before the usual 2pm (or whatever) check in time because there is a room already cleaned that wasn't used last night, and it still feels like six in the morning to you even though it's 11am local time so you set an alarm for 2 hours and grab a quick sleep. Wake up, shower, change of clothing, you connect to the hotel WiFi and Google map somewhere to eat that involves a short Tube ride. There's a pub called The White Lion, it's two stops further up that same dark blue Piccadilly line at Covent Garden (totally in the middle of that milk bottle) and that English guy that writes novels for tourists on the Yankees subreddit said their fish and chips in their upstairs dining area are good and their beer is decent and cheap enough because the pub is owned by a brewery called Nicholson's and they serve their own product (and you want to try a local beer so that's perfect). That trip cost another £2.40 because it's totally within the middle two zones, so you're up to £7.50. You then travel to Kings Cross (Zone 1) after your lunch and slow beer to visit the Harry Potter store on Platform 9 and three quarters so that's another £2.40 so you're up to £9.90. You heard that Camden Market is the place to check out Doc Marten boots like Vinnie Jones wore in Lock Step & Two Smoking Barrels so off to Camden Town tube stop in Zone 2 for another £2.40 which puts you up to £12.30. You see a London double decker bus going to Euston (your PDF map and the CityMapper app show you that's back in Zone 1) and buses are only £1 so you should be up to £13.30… but this first day is capped at £12.80 so the bus only cost you 50p (50 pence. The subdivision of one pound is one hundred pennies, or one hundred pence). The tube back to Piccadilly Circus or Oxford Street or Leicester Square for the hotel is free because you hit your cap.
Just make sure you tap in on a sensor at the start and the end of any journey involving rails, and on a bus you just need to tap in on the sensor at the start of your journey. Tap in, tap out.
The next day you stay totally within Zones 1 and 2. Palace, Westminster, London Dungeon, Baker Street, but never outside the middle. That day caps out at £7.00 so your third trip on the Tube is discounted and anything after that is free.

Travel to the London Stadium. If you have tickets, it'd be a shame not to use them.

On the day you go to the game, you need to travel to the Stratford area of East London in Zone 3. The daily cap for that day, assuming you don't venture further out into Zone 4 and beyond (effectively residential areas) is £8.20. When you get off at either Stratford (regular rail station or Underground station, they're the same thing) or Stratford International from St Pancras International (the six minute train ride on a Eurostar type train), there'll be lots of people helping the fans. The stadium is an Olympic stadium, it's huge. And everyone will be walking to it. It's like following the crowds up River Street if you've never been to Yankee Stadium. The crowd carries you forward.
The stadium is now the home to Premier League team West Ham United so head for the 55,000 seater stadium that says West Ham United on it. Their colors are claret red / light blue / white and their emblem is a shield with two hammers on it, so their nickname is either “The Hammers” or “Irons”. They used to play at the Boleyn Ground just three miles or so away in East 13 but the opportunity came to move into a new already-built stadium starting in 2017 so they took it because their old place dated back to 1904. The old place was demolished and it’s a park now. A bit like the old Yankee Stadium story ten years ago. Here is what it was like for fans of The Hammers when they went to their first home game at the new stadium in 2017. That’s the experience you’ll have.
So you’ve probably figured out how much to load onto the pre-paid Visitor Oyster Card (which you should order soon so it gets delivered before your trip). £12.80 for the day you arrive. £7.00 for any day just doing tourist stuff in Zones 1 and 2. £8.20 for game day. If you’re only going to Heathrow on the final day, another £5.10 for that single journey. Add up the days based on that, come to a total, and pre-order that amount on the Oyster Card ASAP.
This is all part of the transport info, but what do you do with any small amount of credit left on the card when you get to Heathrow for the flight back home? Well, you can check the remaining balance at any time from a machine at the stations and that machine will also refund a balance up to £10 so don’t put TOO much pre-paid on it. But what if you don’t put enough on it? Well, you can use those same machines to top up the card with a few quid more.
Quid is a slang term for pounds, like bucks is slang for dollars. It’s always quid, never quids. Ten quid is thirteen bucks.

Get me to a bar of likeminded fans. The vaguest section here.

Right now, I don't know of any bars or pubs that have said "we're definitely showing the game, and we want as many Yankees fans to come" but that will change. Keep watching YES to see if they mention a place, keep reading the subreddit in case info makes it here. It will. And that's when you make those plans.
If you’re over there, watch ITV News London or BBC London News.
And if we find out anything, I’ll amend the shit out of this section.

General tourist information and how you know more British stuff than you think.

The same rules apply in London as in New York. People that look like they know where they're going don't get accosted by society's more nefarious people. Anyone that looks fifty years old that steps off a Tube train wearing an NYU sweatshirt and a Giants cap may as well paint a huge target on their back as being a potentially easy target. Tourists don't know the place well, they don't know you have to dial 999 for emergency services instead of 911, they're more likely to be carrying around lots of currency they're not naturally comfortable with and more credit cards than the average punter. This woman will set you right on how to blend in. Blending in is always key.
Don't flash cash and cards around. Don't talk at 95 decibels about how new you are and how confusing everything is and how you're totally lost. Generally: don't be a feckless wanker. Be smart, which means be criminally minded (to borrow a line from KRS-One).
Culturally you'll fit right in. Britain and the States share a lot of media, and a lot of that is centered around London and New York. If you or your wife likes Leona Lewis or Adele or Mumford & Sons or Gorillaz songs, they're from the general London area or have members that are so you know that. If you remember Wonderwall by Oasis or Song 2 by Blur or Common People by Pulp, you basically already know of the Britpop music scene of the '90s (which is a major part of the contemporary British psyche). You may already know some slang from Harry Potter films, you may know a few Bond movies and how Austin Powers makes that stuff comical (and Mike Myers is Canadian), Star Wars has had a British and American influence for over 40 years. You may even be able to carry on lengthy conversations with a Londoner about the best moments in Top Gear, Doctor Who, Monty Python, Game Of Thrones, anything starring Idris Elba… all it is when it comes to being there is the small differences. Steak sauce is brown sauce, a truck is a lorry, pants are trousers and so on. Just look at the small language differences as being like a form of slang.

Some stuff can be weird and unexpected. Some nice, some just weird.

The voltage is different. Make sure you have the travel plugs and adaptors you need for the UK. They're at 220-240 volts, 50 Hertz.
There are free newspapers at stations on weekdays. Metro in the morning, Evening Standard in the afternoon. Grab a copy to keep up with the world. I’m sure Metro will have the Yankees - Red Sox games in it the Monday after the games. Grab a copy as a free souvenir.
Washcloths. My wife reminded me of this. You get the usual assortment of of hand towels and bath towels and floor towels, but enough places haven’t had washcloths (or as the British call them: a flannel) that I’m including it. There is a chance your London hotel doesn’t do washcloths and I don’t know why. Pack a cheap washcloth or a shower poof from the dollar store for the trip and leave it in the shower. Usually, hotels only wash towels you leave on the floor because it’s an ecological thing so hang the washcloth in the shower and you’ll be fine.
Temperatures are in Celsius. Quick rough-and-ready conversion that’s super easy and pretty accurate: take the Celsius number, double it, then add thirty. So if it’s going down to 10°C at night, double it to 20 and add 30 to get 50°F (which is actually correct). If they say the high will be 27°C or 27 degrees, double it to 54 and add 30 to get 84°F (27°C is actually closer to 80°F but it’s close enough for you to know it’s short sleeve weather).
Daylight is longer. London is 52 degrees north of the equator, New York is between 40 and 41 degrees north. The Bronx is closer to the equator than the North Pole, but with London it’s the opposite. That means winter days are shorter but summer days are longer because you’re further north in summer. They have daylight savings time (British Summer Time, BST for short) so the birds start their twilight singing at 3.00am or so. I’m not even joking, if the clocks hadn’t been put forward that shit would be 2am local time. Sunrise is at 4.45am the time you’re there. Sunset is 9.20pm. It won’t get totally dark until around 11pm. Look forward to long summery late evenings. I bet you didn’t think astronomy would be in this guide, but if you’re not ready for songbirds “giving it all that” at three in the morning it could be quite an unexpected shock. I promised you lot a comprehensive guide and that’s what you have.
And try actual British Cadbury’s chocolate. I recommend the Cadbury Flake. You’ve not experienced chocolate until you eat a Flake.
You'll do alright. Wait, I typed HOW MUCH?!?

How to get 28 out of the 29 ribbons. 28 because I haven’t gotten Model Bitizen yet

This is all based on how I got the ribbons, these methods may or may not work, but they should give you a good chance at achieving these ribbons.
Mooch - Ask your family for money as often as you can to the point where your relationship with your family members goes all the way down. Goes for parents, siblings, nieces, nephews, spouses, and children.
Model Bitizen - Haven’t gotten yet. Sorry! I have heard though that you want to keep your relationship with your family good but not too good to avoid the Family Guy ribbon, avoid alcohol and drugs, and every opportunity you get to call the police or turn something in, do it.
Family Guy - Spend every year keeping your family members’ relationship bar full. The best way to do this when getting the ribbon is by spending time with them as it can’t go wrong and it always brings up the relationship.
Thief - Steal as much as you can and avoid jail time. You can do this through burglary, stealing cars, and pickpocketing. The hard part is avoiding jail, you can do this by either luck or having enough money to hire good lawyers. Stealing can help you get a lot of money by taking expensive items during a robbery or selling stolen cars on the black market.
Rich - Achieve a net worth between $1M and $10M, this is easily done with any job that has a salary of $50K or more. Just make sure your life isn’t too boring but also not too exciting.
Mediocre - Live a long and boring life that not much happens in, have a low paying job, don’t buy any assets, and then you shall achieve the ribbon.
Lazy - An easy ribbon to get. Just keep on pressing the age button until you die and decline any requests that you get throughout your life. Don’t get a job, don’t buy any assets, and don’t get any girlfriends/boyfriends nor have any children.
Fertile - Have as many children in your life as possible, 10 or more should do the job.
Unlucky - For this ribbon, you want to die at a young age, younger than 20, for an unfortunate reason, whether it’s assault, an accident, or an illness.
Wasteful - Most say to just end your life to get the wasteful ribbon but that won’t achieve it for you. You want to have a negative net worth which you can get from defrauding a casino or choosing a student loan to pay for university. You also want to die at a young age like unlucky but through assault only which can be easy to get through assaulting your siblings.
Lustful - Have as many hookups in one life as possible, do not date a lot of people because that will take too long and not get you the ribbon easily.
Academic - This ribbon requires you to go all out on your smarts. Study hard every year in school, college, and university and then always go for seeking higher education and study harder there as well. You want to have your smarts bar as high as possible and also earning scholarships will make your chances better.
Scandalous - Always be the kind of person to do bad things. Whether it’s getting expelled from school, doing drugs, or committing crimes, any evil actions can get you this ribbon.
Loaded - Achieve a net worth of $10M or more, this can be achieved by winning the lottery or having a really high paying job such as doctor or actor. You also want to buy really expensive cars and houses as well to make your chances better.
Hero - This ribbon does sort of come from blind luck but in any moment that there you witness a life-threatening event, you want to attempt to rescue them, doesn’t matter if you die or not but don’t have a bad record before the incident.
Cunning - This is one of the harder ribbons to get. The main purpose is to escape from prison once and never be caught again. An easy way to do this is to live a boring life up until about 60-65 and then commit any crime and get sent to prison. It doesn’t matter how many times you try to escape prison but once you do, the best choice is to get a sex change. Another thing you can try is emigrating but it is difficult and can get you caught again. If both ways fail, escape prison with low health so you die sooner and don’t have to worry about being caught.
Teammate - This is a unique ribbon but requires very specific steps. You want to be born in Tucson, United States as that is where Candywriter Studios, the creators of BitLife, is located and you want to study hard in school and go to the library once a year. Once you get to university, major in computer science, and then become an app developer. Live your life as an app developer and then you should get this ribbon easily.
Wicked - You want to have a lot of hookups but choose not to use a condom in them. By doing this, you should contract STD’s and you want to spread the STD’s in other hookups instead of curing them at the doctor and then you should get this ribbon.
Houdini - This ribbon requires some skill. You want to go to prison and escape but keep getting sent back and escaping over and over again until you die and then you should get this ribbon. Don’t die to early though cause if you don’t escape enough you will end up with the Jailbird ribbon.
Rowdy - This ribbon describes itself, live the life of a party. Have as many house parties or go clubbing as often as you can but avoid drugs, hookups, and getting involved with the police and you should achieve this ribbon easily.
Geriatric - This ribbon can be very time-consuming but it is easily achievable if you follow the steps properly. The main goal is to live until 120 or older and keeping your health and happiness at 100% your whole life. Keeping your happiness up involves spending time with your family and friends, seeing movies, and taking vacations. Keeping your health up involves going to the gym every year, going to the library, and meditating. You also want to visit the doctor anytime you contract a disease to get it cured and also visit alternate doctors every so often as well. Keeping these up will get you the Geriatric ribbon as soon as reach 120 years old.
Stupid - This ribbon is difficult to achieve because it requires a lot of blind luck. You want to be born with low smarts, preferably 10% or less and make all the wrong decisions. Drop out of school as soon as you can which will limit you to the worst jobs, don’t use a condom in hookups, get into arguments, and choose to pet wild animals when you encounter them.
Jailbird - This ribbon is all about life of crime. Commit a crime in your life and keep committing the same crime and keep getting sent back to prison for it. Doing this will easily get you the Jailbird ribbon.
Deadly - This ribbon explains itself, you want to commit as many murders as possible, probably 5 or more will do the job. This is also a blind luck ribbon because murders can go wrong but if you get lucky with it, you can easily achieve the Deadly ribbon.
Famous - I had the hardest time getting this ribbon because it really relies on blind luck and is time consuming. You want to be born with good looks, 90% or higher. You also want to major in arts or dance in university as this will find you a job in the entertainment industry. You also want to have a high social media following. You can sign up for social media at the age of 13 and at that point you want to post on social media 10 times a year. When you graduate from university, you want a job in the entertainment industry, your best bet will be an acting career but you can also work as a pornographer or an exotic dancer. Acting is the best choice as it will get you more followers on social media faster which can also help you earn the achievement of getting a million followers. Be careful not to earn too much money though as these jobs pay well to avoid the rich or loaded ribbon. Keep your net worth down by purchasing a lot of expensive cars or wasting it away at the casino. Make sure to keep your looks up and not get fired from your job and you should achieve the ribbon.
Successful - This ribbon is generally easy to get if you just live the average life. Go through school and college, have a good paying job, a good house, and good car. You basically want to live a middle class live and die with a net worth between $500K and $1M. Doing this will easily get you the Successful ribbon.
Globetrotter - This ribbon explains itself like most other ones. You want to go on as many vacations and cruises you can throughout your life and travel the world. Going on vacations every year until you die will get you the Globetrotter ribbon easily.
Addict - This is another ribbon that requires blind luck and can easily lead you towards other ribbons. You want to create addictions in your life and don’t go to rehab for them. Any offer you get to gamble, drink alcohol, or take drugs, always say yes. The reason there is blind luck to this ribbon is because you aren’t guaranteed to get these addictions from taking addicting actions. If you do happen to contract addictions, don’t go to rehab for them and die with the addictions, then you will get the Addict ribbon.
High Roller - This ribbon takes some skill but there is a trick to it. The main goal is to win a million dollars or more at the casino during your life. When playing Blackjack, always bet the highest amount of money and try to win. A pro tip is not to hit if your number is 16 or higher. In the event that you lose, there is a trick to not losing the money, I only know this for iOS but not for Android. Once you lose, do not click the continue button. For iPhone 5S, SE, 6, 6 Plus, 6S, 6S Plus, 7, 7 Plus, 8, and 8 Plus, double press the home button and close out the app and then reopen it. For iPhone X, XS, XS Max, and XR, swipe up from the bottom, pause, and then let go to close out the app and then reopen it. Doing this will cause you not to lose the money. Once you’ve achieved a lifetime earning of a million dollars or more. Live the rest of your life until you die and then you will get the ribbon.
Hope this helps and hopefully I can achieve the Model Bitizen ribbon soon as it seems easy but it’s actually really difficult to get. Have a great day Bitizens!
